    Never thought to have the dog lay on their side to do this. I was struggling with doing it with my girl standing up. I will try it this way. I know that we will both have a much easier time. Thanks for your wonderful videos!

    BIG THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEOS! You do a great job of explaining and breaking it down for us doodle mammas. We have two doods. An F1B Labradoodle and a F1 Mini goldendoodle. After watching your videos, i have better confidence to do the grooming myself. Big DOUBLE THANKS!

      He is ANYTHING but calm, no joke. He’s a tornado. He is 10 months old after all. But I’ve been grooming him since day 1 of bringing him home. He knows when I get the supplies out, he has to be calm, he could get HURT if he isn’t. I’ve worked so hard for this behavior! It is possible!

      So I have an Aussiedoodle that is 8 months and is huge. He’s actually pretty calm for the most part but it’s hard to get him to lay there like that. I saw him and thought omg he’s so calm. He’s so handsome your guy! Love your videos. I refuse to take my dog to the groomer every 6 weeks so I love the tips!

      @@atldoodlegroomer3768 any advice on how you got your pup to get use to this? I just got a golden doodle 2 weeks ago and she’s 8 weeks old and gives me such a hard time when trying this. Was your pup ok with it from the get go?

    • @atldoodlegroomer3768
      @atldoodlegroomer3768  Před 2 lety +1

      @@windiewells8127 he wasn’t okay with it from day 1, we’ve worked for months on this. Do a little everyday and give them a break. I probably started with Atlas at 4 months, his ears didn’t need to be plucked before that.

      What a wonderful video. Your grooming videos are what gave me the confidence to start grooming our girl. Thank you SO much for taking the time to make your videos. My doodle is 2 yrs old and We are thinking of possibly getting another. May I ask where your doodles came from? They are beautiful! We live in Louisiana and got ours from Texas but may want to go with another breeder for our next. Pic of our girl!

    Is it normal for there to be that much wax (in the second ear) after only 3 weeks?

    Can I ask a question. I have read that doodles should only get a bath every 6 to 8 weeks. That to much is a bad thing. You said a bath every 2 weeks. I love the idea of him being clean and smelling nice. So you are saying every 2 weeks for a bath is ok then?

      Hi. I'm a golden doodle owner & a dog groomer. I bathe my doodle every week with no issues. I couldn't imagine going 6-8 weeks with her. She'd smell so bad. Lol you should be good & if you're worried, you can use oatmeal shampoos to prevent their skin from drying out

      @@samchelle9455 thank you. We are doing every two weeks as he as well can’t make it long lol. Bath time is becoming fun time. He loves the blow dryer lol.

      My trick is to bathe my goldendoodle with oatmeal conditioner....Lillian Ruff Brand. Then leave it in to work in accordance with instructions. Then rinse thoroughly. You will then see the dirt wash out. Too much soap can dry them out, and the idea is to just release the dirt.

      No, of course not. But having worked on this skill for months, he’s used to it. I have high expectations for my dogs, they don’t get away with much just because of age.

    Question. Does the ear powder make it easier to pluck the hair? My doodle is 6 months and I’m trying to pluck them myself with my fingers but I never get the chunks like you do

    • @atldoodlegroomer3768
      @atldoodlegroomer3768  Před 2 lety

      Of course not, I wouldn’t do it if it hurt him. It may be uncomfortable to some dogs, but it doesn’t hurt if you use the right products.

      So the groomer told me she didn't want to remove all the hair. I also saw this on a video... from a groomer. .is it possible different things work for different dogs?. The vet told me to take it all out. So I'm confused. My dog is 1 and half. No infections when do infections start?. Is there an age.. thank you for your time ❤
