There are some sequences in baduk that will lose you the game the moment you play them. Thankfully, in todays video, a 1kyu graciously showed one such variation!

Interestingly enough Baduk Doctor got a position where he had to crawl on the 2nd line, right out of the first joseki. He's a 9 dan, so I guess it happens to us all.

in certain AI sequences etc its actually okay as long as there are still weaknesses/aji to exploit or you get something (usually corner profit/dead stones) in return. Here the opponent is just stubbornly doing something because he wants to live with everything and not because it benefits him or even works.

@@ethansmusic9898 lonely and negative interaction is easy to get. he's hardstuck fox 7dan, but fox ratings are inflated compared to like, EGF or OGS, so it'd be closer to 5dan in those systems

You should update your killing rules in a way like this:
DDK = no killing, minimun aggression, maximum profit.
SDK = attacking for profit killing only obvious.
low Dan = killing when opponent doesn't take care of his/her weak groups.
high dan = teaching aggressive style if possible.

The hyper aggressive style is very frustrating to play against. You can be 20 points ahead but they keep trying trick moves until you make a mistake and lose.

Quite often you say you should punish your opponent for his mistake but you won't do because it is a death sentence, however, from educational point of view it would be beneficial for viewers to see what is the proper response to an overplay. It's great when you show it in case not actually playing it in the game as you did this time in the fuseki. I appritiate it.

His level of play is so high he has a death sentence for most of moves his weaker opponents play.
Showing each proper response is just too long. Most of those should not be necessarily taught as they appear naturally in one's arsenal with learning.

Is 1kyu en OGS the same as 1 Dan en Fox?

hard to say. people say that ogs 1kyu is a lot stronger but i think it depends on the player.
