I found the Plasma Weapon called the Sprayer to be quite effective for its level. It's really low level, around 7-15 or something like that, but maxed it does just under 4k damage in a single volley and doesn't drain your energy too badly. You just need its shot speed upgraded to be useable, but once you have that it can drop frogs, cosmonauts, pylons and teleport ships very easily. It's great if you have friends that want to play on Normal or Easy.
I'm going to have to try the dual grenade and charge speed core tactic. That's hilarious and clever and I wish I had thought to try it before now. I'm glad to see that general improvements over previous games extends to grenades as well.
I used Spark Vines and Spark Whips with the charge lasers for long range for my entire play through. They are great. I dunno why you think they aren't.
You are finally on the english version great so now i can read the true name of the wepon, damm i wish i have a ps4 to buy this game i'll never stop saying that.
also raijin rai-jin means thunder devil. and yes for its 600m and immense damage. it goes well with stuff like gleipnir or mirage stuff. 9 months later and i found the raijin is just pure semi decent sniping or overhead flying fun. even great for pillars. and small grouped up enemies. hell even those frogs it 2 shots em.
I just realized that wing diver's whole charge mechanic would work absolutely perfectly with god eater's bullet editor mechanic its honestly the thing i spend the most time on when i play god eater (i have 900+ hours on record and i guarantee at least 500 of those were spent creating and testing custom bullets)
Play on missions with a max level about 5 to 10 above Raijins level. Weapon crates are ranked according to the mission, so if you're only playing too low or too high, you'll be missing all the mid-tier weapons.
Its hard to rate a weapon thats less than half way upgraded, the type of monster is completely relevant to its effectiveness. But I found low level weapons perform on a totally different level with high level power cores, especially rush cores with homing weapons. Geist 3, lvl-36ish, works well on lvl 101 green ants, though i blow my self into the air alot, i found it to be preferrable to getting hit with acid shot and most times boosts my survivability on hardest difficulty. But that 60ish ghost chaser you dont like let me beat the inferno lvl 101 with ease over geist 3 on hardest. Fly and rain down strategy is roughly the same. And i do keep the spark whips ready. I can kite around indefinely with a constant rate of fire, which is perfect for lvl 20 red ant stage. They are efficient and do good damage to tightly knit masses.
I love Glepnir, It controls flying swarms super well. I haven't found heavens gate that good, i never manage to hit enemies enough for it to matter. I've been using Double Lance for most of Hard mode because its pretty damn good.
When I started playing the game I played on hard right away and my favourite combination when I couldn't possibly get a level done was getting the Big Core (200%) and the highest level Gleipnir and Mirage that I could use. It's outright ridiculous how much stopping power the Gleipnir alone has in missions that are swarming you, especially against Deroys and such and the Mirage 15s is also outstanding in their crowd control capabilities. What I wanted to ask though, how can you change the look of your character? I noticed you had the "Civilian" look even though you're on a level well past your initiation to the EDF o.O I looked before, but haven't found an option for it yet.
That is a cool combo! After you beat the game once, when you are at the weapon select screen, it will say at the bottom of the screen to press triangle to change outfits
Ah thanks, I'll have an eye on that ^^. Btw is there a class rating video out from you already? Because outside from endgame content and Armor levels I still think that Wing Diver >= Air Raider >>> Ranger/Fencer as in that there are very, very few levels that you have trouble beating with W or A, but a lot that seem outright impossible for R/F
@@sephiroth8377 Urgh, a Necromancer, that comment of mine was ancient ^^' What specifically are you asking for and at what equipment level, mission level and difficulty are you at? (Also I haven't played the game in 2 years or so ^^') Because for Air Raider there are some select few weapon choices that are outstanding. For Gun Ships (the fast self loading thingies) the Vulcan is amazing. There are a variant that is like a shotgun coming down and a variant that is like a Gatling Gun. Those two are amazing. For Air Strike take the Bombing Plans that have multiple "lines" there is one especially devastating that is like a 4 pronged fork with explosives that kills even Boss monster on the way. Satellite Laser Guns (the continous lasers) are amazingly strong, don't bother with guided missiles. (Tempest can be fun though) You're almost never wrong with bringing at least one of the automated MG turrets (ZEXY-GUN) or the laser towers from the DLC content. In the special category shields can be absolutely amazing especially since you can put them on top of vehicles and have mobile fortresses that way. Don't bother with the "personal gun" in that category or the Web Thrower really. If going underground Limpet Splender Guns with Flechettes are all the rage, if you NEED a self defense gun, bring a limpet with explosive bullets. For Vehicles Mecha's are where it's at. The higher level they are, the better they become, priorize mobility over firepower there. Sometimes tanks can be useful in certain missions and the Self Propelled Rocket Launcher is absolutely devastating if you can keep the hordes away from you (with NPC tanking far away from you for example or having team mates)
If you ever use pulse weapons don't charge them fully hold down for a few seconds unlike other charge and discharge pulse weapons lose nearly none of their power at lower charges.
All different missions, 5 has an upgrade system, new movement options for all the classes , items for each class that alters their abilities, new enemy types
I honestly miss the Plasma Ram. But the Dragoon Lance kinda feels like the OP replacement, while the Raijin feels like a long range version (1 shot, massive damage). Ghost Chaser is indispensable against green/jade alphas. Since they have less health overall, the lower damage doesn't really matter and it'll mow down the swarms no problem. Just don't look down. I think the Lv 55 plasma cannon you're meaning is the "Great Plasma Cannon". I get a little lost with your descriptions when you refer to weapons by their level #'s instead of their name and terms like "basic/starter", "mid-tier", and "high-level" or even by difficulty denominations. But that's just me. You do you, it's you're channel. I feel like the lightning snipers are not used enough, including the Raijin, and not enough people are cheesing the ever loving out of the ricochet feature of lightning. I'll take either a lightning sniper or one of the lightning bows into underground and shoot along a tunnel wall and the lightning will basically travel bouncing off the walls until it hits enough enemies or reaches it's max range. I say hits enough enemies because I've seen the lightning trails bounce from one alpha to another and both go into the stumble animation. It's just that lightning isn't team friendly.
@@KevinEDF No need for you to be sorry. It's your channel, your video, your methodology. I'll just need to find out which ones you're talking about and apply the universal knowledge. Everything's fine and there's no harm nor any foul. Keep up the great work.

I like them but the problem is the damage numbers aren't too balanced in this game. The Lance damage is too high ☹️
