- A quick hub check can keep your bike rolling. Loose wheel hubs can ruin your ride by breaking parts and possibly causing you to lose control of your bike. Check your hubs for correct adjustment to know if they need service.

Really like the way you explained this. Subscribed and keen for more.
+@noconcept5735 Thank you! Working on a new drop as we speak
Good information to know for sure, I would watch a part 2.
+@BodieOutdoors we’ll have to get that together!
I’d love to see a video on hub adjustment and preload taking into account that the quick release adds another load on the bearings
+@mattflanagan7519 stay tuned-it’s coming!
Yes sounds good and also talk about preload
+@tonygenovese6239 I think a part two is in order!
I think it would be a good idea if the cone nut and outer nut had an alignment mark. This way you'll know the factory tightening nut setting.
+@ebikescrapper3925 the trick would be that the adjustment changes with wear.
It would give a good indication on where to start the adjustment. Thanks for replying.
i need to get some cone spanners
i have cheap hubs tho so if i slightly over tighten its not too bad , been wanting to build my own wheelset and the only affordable reputable hubs are shimano cup and cone hubs
a part 2 in my case isnt needed but i would like to see it as not many people know how to set up thier bearings
+@donavinnezar The Shimano hubs are actually pretty nice! Not too expensive and very durable.
Do you even ride, or is all this energy and hype nothing more than a way to sell more crap?
+@brianbassett4379 I ride all kinds of bikes! Lately working back from broken clavicle but, yeah, you name it I’ve ridden it.
+@brianbassett4379 worth mentioning also that I’ve been fixing bikes for 30 years. But for transparency I do also sell bikes. Sorry if I seem hype-y but, I do loves me some cycling.
