In Canada where I live, I find the theatrical version of Halloween 2 on DVD frequently so its not very rare here but the U.S only got the directors cuts which is a shame.

As someone who bought the Psycho collection from ViaVision long ago, I didn't know if all their releases were region free, but I guess they are. You were right Christian, you were the perfect guinea pig to see if this was worth buying because I owned the other bluray that had the theatrical cuts only, so this could be the perfect upgrade or straight up purchase for someone who doesn't own the theatrical cuts already.

I tend to prefer the theatrical cuts of these movies, but I like editions like this that have everything.
This is worth buying imo.keeping it simple and its Blu ray.i like it.

I got this set in a couple weeks ago, this is the definitive set in my eyes. I prefer the theatrical cut of the first film but haven't rewatched Part II yet, but remember preferring the theatrical cut of that one as well. Great video for a great release.
I have the Canadian release that has the 2 theatrical cuts on 1 disc (Alliance I think?). I did pick this one up as well. I don't like these movies but I'm a nut when it comes to collecting multiple Halloween and F13th discs over and over and over again. 🙂

I prefer RZ Halloween Theatrical cut for not including that unnecessary R scene and prefer RZ Halloween II Director's cut for more Danielle Harris screen time, hearing Brad Dourif's cries during Annie's death, more interesting take on Laurie's trauma, and having a more definite ending
I've been wanting the H2 theatrical cut, I just bought the simple DVD release of it yesterday. That is a nice set though.

Wow. I don't own these films on Blu-ray so I am very interested in this now that I know it will play in the States. The Walmart steelbook looks great too, but this one seems like the total package.

This is a nice set. I'm actually a fan of Zombie's Halloween movies. It took a few viewings for II to grow on me, but I really like it now. It got a ton of hate upon its original release. But I think the recent (and horrible) David Gordon Green trilogy made everyone forget about Zombie's Halloween flicks. And now with that garbage Exorcist Believer, DGG got all the hate from horror fans everywhere. 😂
I think it's time to pull the trigger on this one and Ash vs Evil Dead, also from Via Vision.

Think I may grab this for the theatrical cuts. I was going to grab that standard Canadian one but this one just looks cooler to me. Plus the thicker box will sort of match the Scream Factory 4Ks on the shelf.

This australia version is the best version the us release on blu-ray steel book does not have the 4 hour documentary and other features are missing as well glad I got this one
I just got my set. Even though the case says it's region B, all of the discs worked in my PS5.
Please, do the PROPHECY set. Can´t wait for you to review the sequels beyond part 3. They are AMYTIVILLE direct to DVD level quality.

For Halloween, I’d go for the theatrical cut. I like the escape scene better on the theatrical cut. For Halloween II it doesn’t really matter, but maybe the theatrical cut too. I don’t really like that Michael talked in the Unrated one
As much as I hate the Rob zombie Halloween films I'm a big physical media guy so this is worth it to me just to have the theatrical cuts on physical even if I never watch them

I want it to be as complete as possible in terms of bonus features and various cuts of the movies, would appreciate your advice!
Hi there! The truth is it’s almost impossible to answer that question because 10 years ago if you would’ve told me we would be getting the Halloween franchise in a complete blu ray box set I wouldn’t have believed you!
I would say there are many great releases out now for each film, and most are getting cheaper everyday. I’d buy one every month or so until you get to the end.
