  • Dive into the imagination of contemporary British sculptor Antony Gormley through the doors of his studio in the heart of London.
For his first major exhibition in France, the artist is taking over the Rodin Museum and its sculpture garden. A dialogue between the two sculptors ensues, restoring the body to its rightful place in the art of sculpture.
The exhibition '𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘭𝘦𝘺 - 𝘊𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘴' offers an insight into Antony Gormley's methods and his approach to working with his collaborators, comparable to that of Rodin's studio with its collective mode of production. Over two hundred notebooks are on display, revealing 40 years of drawings and records of observations, ideas and memories.
A series of studies are displayed alongside Rodin's maquettes, while a plaster mould takes its place alongside Balzac's Study of a Dressing Gown, highlighting the use of moulds and models by both artists as a constant source of renewal.
