Show of hands... How many of you fell absolutely in love with Ms.Vito in this movie!
Everybody...in Italy too
Not a doubt in my mind.
The look and attitude she conveys when he again asks "as a mechanic?" is priceless!
“My father was a mechanic. His father was a mechanic. My mother’s father was a mechanic. My three brothers are mechanics. Four uncles on my father’s side are mechanics. My cousin’s brother-in-law is a mechanic. My niece’s fiancé is a mechanic. My brother-in-law’s cousin is a mechanic. My cousin’s next door neighbor is a mechanic.....”
Well it's pretty hard to be surrounded by something your whole life and know nothing about it unless you are an idiot that can't learn anything she must have had some interest in it herself though. Some is probably genetic though I remember when I wanted to learn embroidery and was immediately good at it and my Mom said well both your Grandmothers used to embroider it's in your blood.
My postman is a mechanic , my cleaning lady is a mechanic , our family doctor is a mechanic , our washing machine is a mechanic
😂 I’m an “out of work hairdresser.”
you must be Scottie, here on youtube.
The Mechanic or a mechanic? A slight difference to say the least. ;)
Marisa Tomei absolutely deserved her Oscar for her role this movie. 100% well earned.
The non-verbal nod of disgust she gives the prosecutor at 0:55 when he questions her for the second time of her being a mechanic is brilliant!
THAT, my friend, is simply STANDARD ISSUE to ALL Brooklyn girls.
@@elskid206 Damn skippy! 😁✊😂
I've never seen a female mechanic in my life, let alone one from Brooklyn who looks smokin' like that!!! Just sayin. LOL.
As a trial lawyer with 40 years of experience I can say that this is the most accurate portrayal of qualifying a witness as an expert witness. Watch the two clips together - qualifying her and then her "posa-traction" testimony is the single best way to teach young lawyers what they don't teach in law school - how to actually try a case. Vinny is -the most dead on accurate money ever made demonstrating the unpredictability of almost any trial. Unlike a movie, you can't script a trial.
@Invista Screenwriter was an attorney.
The director of the movie had been a lawyer before working in films. He had said he wanted to make the courtroom scenes as accurate as possible to actual legal procedures.
Wanna bet........ the hell you cant
"Dead on balls accurate?"
yah...bro...they DID their HOMEWORK on this one!
Marisa Tomei’s acting in this iconic movie was top notch - her subsequent award of an Oscar is well deserved, although she faced very stiff competition from other brilliant female actors. She will always be remembered for her role in “My Cousin Vinny” movie. May God bless her with long life and good health. Thanks for sharing video.
How nice of you to wish someone a long life and good health. Most people, God bless their hearts, only commend their skills but forget the most important things. I wish good health and happiness to you.
Marisa definitely deserved the Oscar she won for this role, I loved her in this movie!
Wrong
Marisa Tomei will forever be associated with this role....pure perfection!
Such fine movie!!!
She plays the part of an Italian from Brooklyn very well, since she is an Italian from Brooklyn.
It was perhaps her best performance
I never get tired of watching My Cousin Vinny
I too
Marisa Is a baby❤❤❤
I can't even remember how many times I have seen this movie...the best. Anytime is on I'm watching. Classic.
Me too 😂.
The way she looks at the lawyer, when he says; "As a mechanic?"
Every one just loves this Mona Lisa Vito character. In real life she won an award for this great acting part as she should have . She is wise , sexy, gorgeous and a brilliant woman in real life and as in the acting part of this movie . I love this movie character and her part as the girlfriend of Mr. Gambini . This was a great FUNNY movieand I absolutely loved it . I watched it several times and I still think it is hilarious and VERY well done . Joe Pesci.... anything he does he is like a rock star. HE is one of the best.
“Sit down and stay there till you’re told to leave.” You tell her, Herman Munster! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
people underestimate the caliber of acting in this movie. Marisa Tomei and Joe Pesci are amazing, but so are all the other actors.
This is a great movie. A classic.
Possibly the most entertaining court scene in movie history.
She was fantastic but the cast around her was impeccable from the judge to the prosecuting attorney. Their mannerisms are so accurate.
Aww man the beginning cuts off one of my favorite lines. Throughout the whole movie Fred Gwynne's character is serious and stern, but he has ONE LINE that even gets him to kinda smile. It's after Vinny has Mona Lisa Vito brought to the witness stand. She's refusing to talk to him so he asks the judge if he can treat her as a "hostile witness". She answers "If you think THIS is hostile just wait until tonight". Then the judge asks "Do you two know each other?" and Vinny says "Yeah, she's my fiancee'". Then the judge says "Well, that would explain the HOSTILITY" and he kinda grins. IDK why but I love that part. Maybe bcuz I get the feeling he got a kick outa saying it. It's his only non-serious line in the movie :)
Probably because the judge took joy in the liberty for getting a shot back at Vinny for being such a dickhead lawyer.
Great Actor. RIP
This was the role that made me fall in love with Marisa Tomei as an actress. She will forever be known as Miss Vito.
Or Aunt May.
She was excellent in the movie The Slums of Beverly Hills. Actually, everyone in that movie was excellent. Even the movie was excellent. It really doesn’t get enough credit.
0:59, the look she gives the prosecutor. Priceless.
She is and always will be a hottie.
Yech, what a foul-mouthed slag.
Even Tony Stark said she was hot.
Amazingly gorgeous
Her performance in that movie will go down in history as the best testimony ever given and by the sexiest Technical Expert ever!
there is no doubt about that
I know he was Herman Munster, but I'll best remember him as the judge in this movie. Rest In Peace, Fred Gywnne.
He was also a Harvard graduate!
Mr. Gwynne was actually a damn good actor. I remember this, Pet Sematary ( why did they spell cemetery, "sematary"?) and The Secret of my Success were roles he played at the very end of his career. Car 54 was pretty funny, and of course the Munsters where he was great and funny as hell! I imagine he was a pretty laid back and kind man. He is missed, but he is remembered fondly.
She totally deserved that oscar! Absolutely memorable performance, one for the ages. Anyone recall the other best supporting actress nominees that year? Or their roles? Nah... me neither...
Both the Judge and the DA were so skeptical that SHE could be so knowledgeable about cars. Its awesome to see her smack them down.
Marisa Tomei....
Fantastic....
You will always be Mona Lisa!!!
IN a lifetime of enjoying and just Casually Criticizing or trying too be say Siskel & Ebert the Great Movie Critic's. This Clip from this Great Film 📽️🎥 is most likely My All Time Favorite.
The pure Amount of Talent that was in that Simple though outrageous Movie. Was just totally and Completely unbelievable at that Time. And is even more astounding in this given Age. Thank You so Very much again for Sharing it. 📽️🎥🤔👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍🤔🎥📽️.
Joe Pesci’s reaction after the prosecutor uses the term “voir dire” at 0:06 😅😂🤣
I just love this movie!! Seen it at least a dozen times, and I still crack up thru out it watching the interaction between the characters.
THIS MOVIE IS HILARIOUS BEYOND WORDS!!! 😅
I love how Vinny know that as soon as her understanding of cars was challenged she was gonna help him win that case
OMG...GREAT scene....and she ends up showing them ALL about POSITRACTION!!!!! LOVE IT!
I sure hope Marisa reads all these well deserved great reviews.
I love how the judge does not give a fuck about her good look and he is just like "you get up when I say you get up"
"No, thank you! Good bye."
Her family were mechanics before cars existed
there were mechanics before cars existed. You probably know that. It has to do with machinery.
I love this movie from start to finish ...

0:56 the look she gives him after he says skeptically “As a mechanic?” (It’s kind of hard to see at 12p resolution.)
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Yo that accent is soooo hot lol
I grew up with dozens of girls...and guys...who talked this way.

Such a classic movie.
I love it when her clock is ticking
What a beauty Marisa
She Is stunning❤❤❤
Fantastic!!!
What a woman
Joe's "oh somebody else is mad at you now" look is so funny
And that was the height of her career.
Best part of the movie. Scene stealing? No, she didn't steal the scene, it was made for her.
This is a great scene
Looks like 'Your Honour' just fell in love.
fantastic movie. classic
The judge deserve an oscar..
This was a very good movie. I liked it very much.
"No. Thank you. Goodbye." Haha.
"Sit down and stay there till you're told to leave!" -.-
Oh- I love this.
Awesome "dead on balls accurate " movie... that's an industry term...and don't forget the two yutts..😮😅😂😂😂.
"Trees" LOL. This actor starred in "The Quick and the Dead" with Gene Hackman, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sharon Stone. He was a bit dim-witted in that film too as one of Gene Hackman's character's cowardly henchmen.
No link for part two?

The Judge is SO COOL!
She was so cute in this movie
She's so gorgeous ❤
This one is topnotch entertainment for sure. And what did we learn here? How to piss off a judge over & over. lol
top notch is true. i have it on vcd. watched it over and over again. never get tired o f it
It's not hard to piss off that judge, lol.
The above is incorrect. Ms. Vito is NOT Mr. Gambini's "wife",
So, you're from Lawn Guyland
:58 to :60 makes this scene
We're already dead
didnt anyone in her family ever choose a different PROFESSIOn other than being a mechanic?

Why does he ask her about a car that was made before she was born and hasn't been on the road, outside of car shows, for 50 years?

Her current profession: being fine AF
the end of the movi has her discussing marriage with Joe- and he introduces her as a fiance- so not a wife yet great movie though
Herman munster is a judge
My one thought on this great scene is how could anyone who is supposed to be smart, which she is, thinks she can just get up like that in court.:p

Don't care for the Noo Yawk accent, but she is still fine at 53. Would love to meet her, amywhere......
There is NY accent and then there is the Bronx and Jersey patrois. I'm don't know the difference enough to tell which of the two accents that Marisa Tomei was going for. Many people equate heavy regional accents like Jersey, hillbilly, bayou, etc to limited education.
I live in NJ.. these chicks are everywhere lol
