As the pendulum swings! During LIVE performances The HIP usually insert a free-flow jam into Gift Shop so that Gord can improv his captivating poetic verses.

Brilliance. Was a Junior in college... my friend and I waited on release day for this album "Trouble at the Henhouse"... this was the first track, we already knew how great the band was, but this solidified it. You mention 90s, I mean this was in the heart of the 90s, when Guitar still ruled the roost.

It's an excellent rock band established in the 80's , I've read the comments someone that in the early years they were more focus in rock music but then they became more pop- ish. I'd put the example of Queen specially Freddie Mercury which made rock they were awesome but Freddie with his priviledged voice liked opera and circumstances of life, he sang with Montserrat Caballé whom he felt admiration for her and he released an album with her and their fans all around the world saw singing with her they felt admiration for him because they did not know this side of him, there is nothing wrong when an artists decides to try new musical styles🤔🤔👌👍👏🏻

They are such a great band! Their earlier albums capture their live rock and roll sound. This is from their sixth studio release. There is still a lot more Hip to get to. I'm not sure I've ever seen Gord on an electric. I would've liked to have seen more of Rob's playing in this clip. I'm happy that you like and get them, great reaction. Thanks! 😊

The Hip evolved alot over the years. After the first two albums Gord started playing guitar while singing. It really changed his stage presence. He no longer jumped around and held that microphone stand like it was his mortal enemy. Plus, their songwriting became more introspective and pop-ish in a way. The bluesy, hard rock style of their early years kind of went by the wayside eventually. I always prefer those first years when they really rocked hard.
