Mucho gusto...so...yup, krazy glue...from this project you now have a kit...scissors, glue, picks, sandpaper etc, keep together...I have needle n thread as well as I sew my corners...dot the glue like a tack weld...good job, keep turning that wrench...one love
That looks absolutely SICK🤩
thanks!!
Chingón!!
For the flocking and adhesive to work properly you need to peel off all the old vinyl and foam from the panel and apply everything to a fresh substrate. Thats how you get things to stick the way they are supposed to with the new material and adhesives.
That’s a nice shop
Another thing people need to know watching this video the reason why the inserts didn't stick is because he only sprayed one side you're supposed to spray both sides of the product you want to adhere so he should have sprayed the backside of the insert and the door panel as well not to mention he should have never applied any of the flocking materials to the area he wanted to glue the insert to he should have just left it plain vinyl and scuffed it up thoroughly with a piece of sandpaper then apply glue to the door panel itself and to the insert then allowed both pieces to fully tack up before putting them together and that would have resulted in a perfect finished product... so learn from his mistakes and either take it to a professional or do plenty of research and practice before you work on your personal finalized project
You’ve flocked it right up
Do you do window tint ? See a lot of specialty tint tools popping up in movies
Thanks so much for this video. I have a CRX I'm restoring, the dash has some imperfections and flocking seems to best match the factor "felt" look on the dash and doors. Question, how has it held up in the last year? The top of the door sill is a high wear area since the windows are down and my arm tends to hang out there, I wonder how flock holds up, is it made to be a contact/wear surface or is it delicate? Thanks so much for replying.
It’s done well. I don’t abuse. And yes the door are light if I could do it again I would set the panel at a better angle. If you rest your arm on there I’m sure I’ll ware it out and oil it up with body oils.
@@luieflores5915 Thank you much.
And just so everyone knows who's watching this the reason why the dry time took so much longer is because he applied the glue on top of vinyl
You should buy a flocking machine to make the flocking effect better
this video was posted 3 years ago. how has the flocking on the door panels held up over that time? I'm gonna do my dash and am considering doing the door panels as well. wondering how quickly the flock will rub away.
it did fade out some but other then that its been good.
Where did you get the door logos?
I found them on eBay.
Wow this dude really was sanding and bondoing leather tho! Lolol. That's def gonna fail an quickly too. Ask me how I know, but hey everyone was 16 at some point in their life tho right? Lol thats how u learn tho..from ur mistakes
