Being a female truck driver in Canada in very hard. I’m a Muslim woman and have had my license for nearly 4 years. I get rejected to almost all the jobs I apply for when people I know (men) who have their licenses for less then 6 months get the jobs. There’s a lot of racism towards women especially black Muslim women in Canada mostly becouse 90% of the truck companies are Indian. I faced so much hate and discrimination from them even now 😢I wish I could move to the states where everyone one has equal opportunity 💔
I'm in CDL school right now in NC and the state inspector came for our pre trip test and she told us we are no longer allowed to say "properly mounted and secured" just fyi.
