- We try to beat CHIMPS with only Quincy. Then Gwen, Striker Jones, Geraldo, Obyn, Rosalia, Churchill, Benjamin, Pat Fusty, Ezili, Adora, Etienne, Psi, Sauda, Brickell, and Corvus. We do this with every Hero to see what ones can beat CHIMPS all on their own. And those that can't we see how far they can get before losing.

Geraldo and Corvus still prove to be insane after all the nerfs
Managed to get to 25 with Etienne on logs. Requires a little bit of RNG and waiting for the drone to wander to the right spot before starting the round. You need to use the drone swarm mid 18 to have it last to 19 and come back by the end of 20 so it carries over to 21 - then thanks to faster cooldown you can spam the drones to solve all your problems pretty easily. But cuirrently I reached a point where my cooldown is just one yellow bloon off. if I activated the previous ability half a second earlier I could beat 25. So 25 is my limit for now - very confident you can reach 26 UPDATE :
I kept trying all drone start positions until one happened to work. Round 26 has been reached - you can buy the second drone mid round which gives just enough fire power to beat 26 without the ability then use ability to beat round 27 - and 28 is the absolute Limit for Etienne as there is no way to beat lead at this level - So Etienne's best chimps score is 28 (EDIT 2... But what if crusher... is there any chance to get to the leads on scrapyard? I may try tommorow)
I'll save you some troubles, if you watched geraldo 1 TC, you can't pop all lead with 1 crusher, so unless you can afford UCAV by 28, it's game over

In the interests of fairness, perhaps the better solution for the initial money issue would have been to set the starting money for all heroes to be equal to the amount needed for the most expensive one. It likely wouldn't have mattered much but it's mathematically 'fair' at least.

I actually Don't think that actually would be nearly as interesting tbh. While it made sense for the video on the towers being spammed, for 1TC videos I like seeing them go from start to end as ultimately it doesn't matter what Hero you pick, unless your Geraldo (And maybe Corvus) your not actually beating CHIMPS. If a point of a 1TC vid is to see how far each hero get's with no support, starting them at the start is very fair; since so many heroes end up bottlenecked by something early on anyways.

Meh, if any hero should be able to 1tc it is Corvus.
The amount of work it takes to use Corvus, they should be an absolute powerhouse.
Corvus has very few good synergies with other towers, other than just being insanely strong, but Corvus relies on sucking up 99% of your attention. For that kind of cost they should have a ridiculous reward.

I didn't think Corvus would still be able to get so far. If there weren't super easy options for 2tc, I would recommend using him for people trying for the achievement
Its super hard to use Corvus so he's not that good for 2tc even tho he can 2tc with any tower that lets you save up to him. I'd recommend going onto resorrt and using a pod and a mad
If you want a fun, relatively easy but certainly non trivial 2tc, then do 520 + 250 engineer
(On logs of course, but other maps may be possible).
It’s really fun tbh and quite surprising how easy the combo is, it’s also really interesting to see which rounds are hard and which are trivial.

For some unholy reason I started trying to black border the hardest maps and I'm stuck on Dark Castle / CHIMPS.
I'm fairly new to this level of grind so I appreciate learning all the fine details.

At this very moment I'm stuck on round 94 trying to brainstorm.
Obyn costs $50 too much to start with and Avatar of Wrath at $48,000 is never less than $2000 away before I get stuck.
Boosting a Permaspike doesn't cut it in the last 10 rounds.
I've been spending several hours on this map each day but I believe recent updates force me to find a new strategy.
Rest assured, I'll come back to this thread once I beat it.

19:11 I can confirm that it is somewhat a skill issue. In normal 2tc's on sy Churchill dies on round 98 post pierce nerf, but pre v35 he's a solo. However there is no modern footage of him getting to r98 because of that.
The map Churchill is actually closest to soloing is logs, but he dies to the r24 camo and barely on 63.
There is plenty of footage of Churchill 2tc's in past versions, however even base towers drastically change how you do the midgame as they are able to pop the blacks and zebras Churchill hates.
My source for all this is that I'm the only guy who's done a Churchill 2tc in over a year
Also, I suggest setting Churchill on Strong or Last because it affects the tank cannon and not his machine gun. The machine gun will always be set on first.

I managed to get to round 98 with sauda. I don't really know what you did wrong. I could imagine I manually leveled her up less with money being able to afford another level by round 64 because of it.

On saudas 63 it mightve been a better idea to crush the first ceramic wave with sword and the second and third with maprush
so i noticed you pickeled the turrets instead of gerald and now im confused on how to use pickle with gerald turrets
If you pickle Geraldo, all turrets are affected, but if you pickle one turret, only it's affected. Sometimes you want to only pickle one since the effect drops attack speed

I know his shop has been reworked a few times since it was deemed impossible, but those were mostly considered nerfs not buffs.

The real reason Ben couldn't beat round six is because he already made it to round 2 billion went negative due to stack overflow and got back to round six where he went to sleep
In fairness, I only use Etienne for early game damage. In late game, his godsend is his level 8 qbility which gives every single unit camo detection, allowing you to focus on other upgrades

Video suggestion: all heroes strenghts and weaknesses (idk if u have done it before but the game changed a lot) i rlly struggle with choosing heroes for certain gamemodes and maps
He has, but they were made as separate videos (one with their strengths, one with their weaknesses) and they were made 2 years ago, so they don't have the newest heroes and are probably outdated in terms of the heroes that did exist at the time (bc nerfs and buffs exist)

Like, rounds that, if you can beat the previous round you have no way to lose to it (with 1 life).
To make that work you'd need to make selling illegal and if you used an ability on the previous rounds you have to try and use it on this one too (but you can manipulate cooldown to make that impossible)
I know it's a weird question but some rounds are just kinda free so finding ways to get to and then lose to every single round sound amusing.
