Great short-to-the-point video! I bet a person could make their own decorative paper using tissue paper, or home-made rice paper? Paint on it anyway they'd like, etc. I bet any clear coat varnish, Mod Podge, glitter Mod Podge, or hard coat Mod Podge, would work. I'm thinking this technique would work for handles on serving trays--just on a bigger scale.

Also paper is very easy to come by for most people and it is more accessible, it doesn't take much practice either. That's why the paper beads and loads of people seem to like it.
