    iPhone SE 2 (iPhone SE 2020) will restart every 3 minutes for these reasons
    ✅The Charging Port is unplugged
    ✅The Charging Port is damaged, defective or aftermarket
    ✅And many other reasons.
    To properly diagnose this, you'll need to read through the Panic Logs and see what error you see in there. Refer to this video: • Is Your iPhone Restart...
    If you get "Missing Sensors: Mic1", then it's the charging port causing the 3 minute restart
    And if you already ruled out bad parts, then most likely it is a board issue.
    In this case, I found I2C1_AP_SDA at the charging port was OL, so the line was disconnected.
    This requires you to run a long jumper to reconnect this line near the CPU to solve it.

    One thing I've learned with logic board repair is that everything seems to be based around logic and common sense. I think you have done a fantastic job just demonstrating the basic fundamentals of using a multimeter and logic to find the fault and fix it. I like to look at it like a puzzle if that makes sense. Also at 37:55 I just recently thought of that same solution when I was having the same issue with my jumper wire not sitting flat. Solid repair video, very informative.

    Thank you.

  • @davepompea
    @davepompea Před 2 lety +3

    Yes, why not run the Jumper to J4300(?) vs remove the cover over the other chip. Would seem (to me) a lot safer) than peeling away to expose a trace. Any downside to doing this? As an aside, I remember when my eyesight and muscles allowed me to do the kind of work you do. Nice!!!

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  Před 2 lety

      I would say the effort to get the jumper wire to make it all the way to the power button connector is way more than scratching out the trace. Plus it would be a lot safer like this vs a super long jumper, in that the next time someone opens the phone, they may damage the wire & have to re-do the super long jumper again

    I just found this video.
    PANIC FULL is the issue for my iPhone SE or 2020. Not backed up since 2020 Sept.Here's the issue.
    Mine won't stay charged long enough for me to back the data up. Somehow I stopped paying the 2.99 a month for extra space. So I have a huge amount of data not saved.
    Mine pops off every 45 seconds not 3 minutes and Apple people say it's the logic board and that this CANNOT be replaced.
    I could take a risk , buy a new phone and hope the data transfers but because the phone pops off scared to go that route.
    Too, Apple man said that might be able to keep the thing on via ethernet but that didn't work
    Thanks for posting this. What a mess.

    My SE2020 restarts every 3 minutes...In the log I have: service returned not alive with context : is_alive_func returned unhealthy : current 6fffffffffff, mask 1fffffffffff, expected 1fffffffffff. SD: 1 BC: 1 RC: 0 BS: 1, Missing sensor(s): mic1. The touch screen is broken and all over the place but the picture is ok.I was thinking of replacing the charging port flex, now I am in a dilemma as I do not know if I want to replace the charging port flex, or should I somehow find a way to check the pins the way you did. Did anyone who had the same issue just replaced the charging port flex and it started working? How much is the current " current 6fffffffffff"? Yours was much different it should be current 1fffffffffff and I have current 6fffffffffff. Does not look far off :)

      The important part is the "missing sensors mic1". It means it's not detecting your mic.
      The fault is either the flex or the board.
      You'll need a multimeter to measure the board to see if the issue is present on the board. If not, then it's likely the flex

      @VCCBoardRepairs Hi, really grateful for your replay. In my case it was the battery, which was damaged due to an impact of the shattered screen and the battery has a little hole in it on one side. I have moved the mainboard form this phone to the new case with internals and a new LCD and now the phone works without rebooting.

      @@VCCBoardRepairs Sure.Apple designs its products in a way that should make them unfixable,as their primary way to "fix" anything for the customer is to make them buy the latest model. Thankfully, we have crusaders who develop easy fixes and share them with community (like you), mainly as the way to show their middle fingers to Apple (and hacking stuff for the fun of it).
      Yet,we still have Apple fanboys who buy the entire ecosystem and are proud of being provided with average overpriced nice-looking junk. Not to mention being happily fucked up the ass every time 0.03$ SMD element breaks down in their hardware.
      I'm not a hater,but frankly speaking: the last true contribution to overall technical progress made by Apple,was the GUI for the OS. The rest is just merging the shit that's already out in the market,making in shiny and "innovative" for average moron/user and increasing the price x3.

    Bro you don't need do it that thing. Only use original Apple charger Flex that's it when you use that don't have problem with bootloop every 3 minutes. You don't answer my text I know who can sell to you original flex apple.

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  Před 2 lety

      Actually this is a board issue. Not the flex.

      Maybe you are right. Another times happens with use Chinese flex. Always don't happened like that. Ok then good job.

      @@franz6835 Yes, if you have bad aftermarket parts, you can have this issue too. But for SE 2, high chance it's a board issue.
      In the video, i show you how to check if it's a board issue
