I believe if you enter the area command, then right click and pick a point inside closed area, or the closed poly line, it’ll default to area and you’ll get the s.f. read out. No need to pick all the vertices.

I am encountering a problem which I've noticed before - my "Insert Field" dialog doesn't look the way it does in the video. I don't get the columns with "Field Category", "Object Type" etc. I am using 2024 Autocad on a mac. Interested in any suggestions! cheers!
