I went to chinese school to learn canto but forgot a lot. I listened to and watched cantonese and mandarin karaoke as supplement back then. Anyone learning will definitely find your videos helpful. I still use this form as learning material. Recently jumped back to learning mandarin again and up my skill level and will be using your videos to test myself.

The song the melody and the lyrics are good, but ... Leon Lai's vocals are weak. How did he ever become one of the Heavenly Kings ? Leslie, the best, Andy second, Aaron third, Leon last, based on this performance. And HK in the 80's had so high vocal standards for so many other singers.
Honestly, probably due to his looks. Back in the early 90s, he also starred in a number of classic TVB dramas. Did you mix up Jacky (Cheung) with Leslie in your comment? For me, regarding the Four Heavenly Kings' singing ability and discography, the ranking goes: Jacky, Andy, Leon, then Aaron. I place Leon before Aaron because I prefer more of Leon's songs over Aaron's.
@@lookatthesigns Yes Jacky Cheung. Aaron was more of a dancer type. People made fun of Andy's warbling vibrating sound but he was quite a good singer ( he worked the hardest, including acting ) And Leon yes his looks made him popular.

He's just too fake, over acts & tries too hard in projecting a hard worker image.
His acting is rather meh.
He doesn't act. He is just himself in every role.
Also hiding his wife all these years just to scam girls & women who think they have a chance is just cruel & dishonest.
