Great seeing the comparison! Looked like the one camera had a lot better quality. Colorful and can see details further out. Do more vertical jigging! So fun to see them bite and topside!!

I been out 3 days in a row on Minnetonka and can't find the fish any tips
Bummer, That's how fishing goes sometimes. How deep you? What you fishing for? Not familiar with Minnetonka but I love fishing shallow and by or in weeds.
Bouncing between 8 an 20 zig zag going all over the place trying to stay on or just right of the weed edge looking for spots like in your videos. Idk what to do 😂

Like the video man, was wondering which of the two underwater cameras you like better. Wanting to purchase soon and I'm stuck between getting the aqua vu 822 hd or the marcum pursuit and save a couple bucks. Let me know what you think and thanks
I like the Aqua Vu better cause of the bigger screen and slimmer profile but the picture quality appears to better on the Marcum. Depends what you are looking for in a camera but probably go with the Marcum and save a few bucks.
Fishing with hot dogs is always a gamble I’ve fought one of my best pike on them but also usually leve suckers out fish them
Yeah its a gamble for sure. Seen more curious pike doing it then ones that have ate it. Wasn't expecting such a busy day under the ice or would of been fun with live bait, had a lot of fish topside I bet. Either way was fun to see them check it out. Congrats on getting a best one a hot dog!

Fish definitely interested. Maybe if you cut the meat in a narrow slice in the shape of a bait fish and put a black magic marker dot on the sides of the head where eyes would go, they might be inclined to bite.
I once fished for bullheads in the spring and had no night crawlers so I put on a piece of hot dog. Caught a pike, at night, on the bottom, on a piece of hot dog. Only other time I ever caught a pike at night was on a glowing chartreuse rubber twistertail jighead spinnerbait. Always thought pike stopped biting after sunset, but there's an exception to every rule.
Oh they were interested for sure! What a spot, should of had live bait that day. Would of had lot of fish topside. Awesome you caught a pike at night, That doesn't happen often! And yes the ole mr twister tail. Iconic plastic right there.
Hot dogs are a top secret pike bait. I used to use hot dogs for catfish, but I would accidentally catch pike on them all the time.
They are becoming the new pike bait.

Thanks! Idk, I would say for the price the Marcum puruist HD has the best picture. Love the AV822 unit Sceen size is awesome but the picture just isn't comparable to the HDi or Pursuit.
Thanks for reply. I bought a 822 and was going to do a comparison vid with Revolution 5. The picture was so much worse on 822 I returned it . Maybe a bad unit ? I called Aquavu and they didn’t have too much info. Maybe a marcum next winter?? Thanks

Nice footage. Too bad you didn’t get any bites. Just a suggestion, try putting a red bead, then spinner blade (fluorescent green, silver or brass coloured), a small sliding weight then your tremble hook then the sausage. This would appeal 2 senses for fish; smell and sight. I was going to try hot dogs myself this weekend, but forgot to pack them.

we use tiny pieces of kielbasa to catch smelt but it has to be a real polish kielbasa not that hillshire crap. martin rosol kielbasa from new britain ct. is the best

I'm sorry to say this, but the way you had that set up, put those fish on the alert, from the get-go. Next time, shorter pieces of hot dog, or Kielbasa, and bury the hooks in the meat, instead of letting the fish see them. If they see what appears to be an unnatural setup, chances are they're not going to bite, except for maybe the occasional desperate fish, that hasn't eaten for a while.
Lies lol, I run big 10-14 inch frozen herring with two big trebles fully exposed and steel leader. Caught a 41 and a 44 last season. Pike don’t care

After I saw the footage at home I was thinking the same damn thing. If I was using live bait, all of them fish would of been topside! Go figure the day I pull out the hotdogs its the most active day. Next time!

First thing why would he put such a big piece of meat on the hook. Second this is suppose to be a fishing video, he never even got a bite the whole time, might as well watch the fish swimming in an aquarium. They will record anything just to make a CZcams video.
