Playing this and GTA 3 in elementary school blew my mind, I barely did the missions the driving around and racking up stars was enough for my undeveloped mind 😂
same here with San Andreas. every time I logged on to my ps2 and loaded gta sa I would just start where Carl came from the airport

Here's an Easter egg for the definitive edition on the switch, Rockstar used their favorite numbers and assigned them to the frame rate. Their highest number was 20.

There's also a somewhat easy to miss situation where Lance flies you in helicopter to abandoned villa where you shoot some dudes (I don't really recall the name of the mission), and while talking about stuff he flies under the bridge and suicide jumper throws himself off the bridge right into helicopter's blades.
Phenom penh 86 is the name of the mission, but i never remembered that scenario happening
@@chiefdenis it's blink and you miss kinda thing, but if you look backwards while flying under the bridge you can see an NPC falling into the water.
As a kid, I accidentally found Apartment 3C when the police cornered me at the complex. I think I was trying to do a “last stand” up there, trying to see how long I can survive against full 6-star waves, but when I backed up against the wall, I was surprised that got in the apartment. And jesus christ 😂 That bathroom scene became a very vivid childhood memory for sure

I've only played San Andreas on Game Pass so far and will wait for fixes before actually buying the trilogy, but I have to say for the most part the atmosphere is still there for me. There are some off putting bug and that frigging rain, but overall with some fixes and some TLC they are not too far off.
Vice city was one of the goats for me. I rented it from a video store in my hometown and kept the map because I didn’t think they would care. A year later we went back to that store only to find out we owed 500 dollars in late fees from not turning it in with the game 😬😬😬

One of my favourite games of all time. I played vice city more than 1000 hours many years ago ahhhh I still love this game
I'm just surprised you guys managed to made a video for san andreas and vice city without running into any bugs and glitches
The bugs were left on the cutting room floor.
I wonder what Vice City would have been like without all the cut content, it was such a good game already and from what ive heard, a lot of good stuff got cut so they could rush the game out to keep investors happy
A tip for playing the Defintive Edition: go to settings and put "Contrast" on its minimum. The games will look way better.

They’ve got Barry Allen on the force jumping through time just to smack you off the bike at 4:40.

I'm pretty sure that you can see the Reagan/Gorbachev picture during the side mission where you have to win at the rifle range to contract the guy for the heist. At least I saw it during my playthrough of the DE and I think it was during that mission. Certainly no need to clip through anything!

Wipeout was the mission I just couldn't get past as a kid and iirc that's the mission that unlocks that last island upon completion.
for years after the game first released there was a rumor of a skeleton (or image at least) hidden in one of the bridges. and you could only see it if you used one of the larger boats and clipped the camera through, a la that reagan pic. it was supposedly a reference to the legend of Jimmy Hoffa (who disappeared without a trace) being buried in cement. but as that was the days before youtube I always wondered if it was ever confirmed to be fake or real.
also, i dunno if it counts for the video, but the mansion you see later in the game is a near exact replica of the mansion in scarface.
Never played any of the GTA games before I was born
I waited to buy the definitive edition for so long because of people bitching about it and I finally bought it just to play vice city and I am totally pleased. It’s a remaster not a remake, if you enjoyed the original it’s a breath of fresh air and the controls alone make it worth it. I don’t know why so many people are complaining…..primadonnas, because 75% of new games suck anyways, this is still better than half the games released in the past 15 years
I’d like to see if the ghost ships can still be seen on the sea horizon
My favorite rockstar easter egg is the Scarface one where you go into the hotel and it's all bloody with a chainsaw in it

That's because Rockstar is a bigger company. While CD PROJEKT RED is a nice sized company it's nothing compared to Rockstar so they know they can get away with it because of loyalists

The cement shoes thing is real. A couple of years ago here in NYC they found a body wrapped in garbage bags and had cement shoes. It was by kings borough community college

Have u noticed the Rockstar logo is screwed up on the map when u look at it by the pool..,the star is way off lol..but u can only see it on the map
No one ever seems to remember the shark that would appear in vice city. Only happened near the hidden package on the like destroyed hut in the water near the south west of the first island if memory serves me correctly.
I remember that you see i guy with cement shoes in vice city 😂 but not the one you have shown the one i had see was closer to shore or in a canal and he had a pink blouse
Remember the DODO plane on gta3? After I found it I tried for a few days and then every time I played to fly that thing atleast a few times. Try to fly it, crash and die reload. Like a 5 min experience. I wonder if they made it actually fly. I thought it was me but apparently it really wasn't meant to fly.
Think it had something to do with 9/11. They made the plan unflyable after that
The trick is never pull up. Only ever tilt the nose downward, it will go up on its own.

I think a lot of it has to do with the colour palate. Also SA is a way bigger map.

It's a port of the mobile ports. So to answer your question, probably not but maybe if you wait a year or two.

People are paying for a product that has an expectation to perform in a certain manner. If you don't understand that then for your sake you should just try not to have an opinion. You are making excuses at best, and at worst you are being knowingly ignorant. The new thing should work and look better than the old thing, otherwise why I am justifying spending my money again? So Vice City came out before Streets of LA. Do you think this was a coincidence or they had some insider info or what
Rockstar shoud've thought better about this project. People are still going to pay for it, but they should've done a better job at trying to expand the game capabilities with what we have of technology nowadays. I know that there's the possibility of patches and upgrades to it, but as a launch product it's just not enough.
