      @heather lynsey That's really good of you! I'm sure that made a difference. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine, where her co-worker had a fall, hit her head, and didn't pay more attention to it and went for a workout. The next day, that colleague didn't show up to work, and my friend became concerned since they were due for a presentation and thought she overslept. Unfortunately, she was later informed that colleague had been found deceased in her bed. She was only 24, so sad 😞

    I heard that growing up as well. when my daughter took a hard fall my mom said keep her awake. The pediatrician however said “ The egg on her head is a good sign, if they’re swelling out they’re probably not swelling in , and my five-year-old could go to sleep but I had to keep a close eye (couch) on her every 30 minutes get her to open her eyes and make sure that her pupils were equal and responsive. He was a great pediatrician 😇
    It isn’t going to sleep that kills you, it’s the fact you don’t notice any signs /symptoms. Having somebody to monitor you is always best.

    This is the same thing that happened to Liam Neesom's wife, Natasha Richardson. The two of them hit their heads and did not go to a hospital to get checked, nor did they take it seriously. Head traumas are noting to play with.

      Same thing I thought. I saw some comments on different threads saying that it was a terrible way for him to go. But that seemed to be the best way to go because however the hit happened, it wasn't bad enough for him to suffer in pain and have to call 911. I guess he did like we've all done, at some point; hit ourselves by accident and went on with our normal activities because it didn't feel serious enough for the ER.

      Yes, but you are still alive to tell about it! It really takes a lot to produce a brain bleed and even then most are not fatal. Is it possible? Yes! However, he would have had a headache from hell from the pressure. Of course the rule of thumb is if you ever suffer head trauma to never go to sleep afterwards because you might not wake up.

    It usually happens like this to older people. My mom fell pushing her shopping cart too hard. She hit her head. She didn’t want to go to the hospital because she only had a little cut on her head but there was no dizziness, nausea, fainting, seizures, headache…nothing. But her wrist hurt so she finally let me take her to the hospital the following week. I told them she hit her head too, so because of her age, they did a CT scan. When the results came back, they admitted her immediately. She had large subdural hematomas on both sides of her brain and they needed to go in surgically to relieve the pressure.
    Your brain shrinks when you get older and can move around a lot more when you hit your head. The blood vessels stretch and tear. I was so surprised she had no symptoms.

    I am still shocked and find it hard to believe that Bob has left us. My family and I would always watch America's Funniest Home Videos and it was one of our favorite shows of all time. Every evening we would sit together and watch it. Sometimes, we would also watch it alone. Even when we were all having a stressful or a bad day. AFV would always make us laugh and forget about our worries. Even when we were all going through terrible times and felt sad or down, Bob would always make us happy again and cheer us up again. No matter what time it was or what event, we would all forget about our worries and AFV would transport us into it away from the reality, always reenergizing us and making us hopeful. It was a part of our childhood and we grew up with it and Bob was one of the biggest reasons.
    RIP Bob. Thank you for entertaining us, being yourself, giving us joy, and teaching us how to be better. We all love you and will always remember you.

    Excluding foul play, Intruder in the room, auto whiplash injury or fall outside the hotel room, the only explanation that could have happened is as follows:
    He was on two medications that could cause orthostatic hypotension (postural low blood pressure) exacerbated by unaccustomed long day of standing for prolonged time (pooling of blood in the lower extremity) old age, dehydration, hot showering or bathing that increases the circulation to the skin that further decreases the circulation to the brain) after a heavy meal (increased circulation in the gut that steals the circulation to the brain causing anoxia) and on anti-hypertension medications.
    He could have fell backwards, hitting the enamel bathtub on the nape of his neck (occipital galeal fracture) and he might have felt dizzy, but not necessarily unconscious and managed to step out of the bath tub or still in the bathtub and fell forwards, hitting the left nasal bridge area on the shower head or knob of the bathtub or sink ( if he got out and stood in front of the sink.)
    Materials like enamel and steel may not show evidence or dent and since the left orbital fracture was in the supraorbital bone (roof of the orbit) which is a thin plate of bone as compared to the simeon ridge (eye brow bone, which is a male skull characteristic) which is the frontal bone and densest bone and difficult to fracture.
    He somehow staggered back to his bed and lied on his back and was in no position to summon help or call, became unconscious and sustained a slow internal cerebral bleeding (over hours).
    Subarachnoid bleeding (post Covid, can increase the propensity for bleeding) over hours and subsequent epidural hematoma (takes few hours, where as subarachnoid hemorrhage is more acute), till he was found in that position, 4 p.m. the next day. The subarachnoid hemorrhage also causes periorbital ecchymosis or black eyes (raccoon eyes) which was documented in the autopsy.
    It is possible there was no external bleeding in the bathtub or sink or enroute to the bed, since it was a closed injury only to be discovered at autopsy.
    Also, the room was not considered a "crime area" and there was no thorough forensics done till the autopsy results were announced.
    This is the most perplexing and bizarre case that I have tried to solve.

      @tonyabrookes9931 Před 2 lety +1

      100% correct. This happens to me constantly from the three sleep meds I take and have taken, trazodone is one, causes dehydration which causes me to pass out in the summer and electrolyte deficiencyS the other one I take causes sudden non-life threatening bp drops that make me lay in the floor if I get up at night and wait for it to pass or call my husband. But cannot shake the insomnia after 22 years. I have been flipped though, by the twat next door as a kid, and thought I’d die from the pain, landed on my head from 5 feet in the air, didn’t get care, headache for days and nothing. So I’m not buying the headboard. I would buy meds taken too soon and dramatic shower fall.

    There is also another type of concussion, which is a contrecoup.
    Which is an injury (as when the brain strikes the skull) occurring on the opposite side of the brain, where the injury/blow occurred.
    So if you would have a significant injury/blow to the back of the head, the front part of your brain may also be injured.
    The skull bone is limiting & very stable, but your gray matter (the brain) can slosh, like a wave back & forth, against the hard shell of the brain.

    Respect and condolences to Mr Saget’s family. They are exhausted and devasted I’m sure. Today is Saturday Feb 12, It could very well be that all attending surgeons have announced all conclusions.I have not been able to read all reports and speculations from professionals or anything else public that rules out the possibility of aneurysm. In 2021(age 70 ) I had neck pain for several days. My doctor requested an MRI that revealed 2 aneurysms 3mm and 5 mm. Surprise!! I am now 71, ( it’s 2022) had no idea. After the initial shock, I went online for more info. Turns out, This is not uncommon for people to have this type of artery blockage with no symptom, for years… hence the unfortunate secret. There was no way to know of a possible brain bleed. Not saying this is Mr Saget’s truth. We are always searching for the correct answers an abrupt end. My heart aches for him and his family. He was ready to continue to work and bring smiles to many. All was well and he had no clue that his life would be cut short. I am so sorry.

    I think the main issue here is that fact that when his death was first reported, it sounded like he had a heart attack in his sleep which makes sense, given his age. Now, the story has changed to something totally unexpected. I think this is why people are saying it doesn't sound right.
    I guess when it's the media, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't.
    If no info is provided until complete results are available, people will jump to conclusions.
    If info is released prematurely to satisfy public curiosity, people will jump to conclusions.
    If info needs to be corrected after the fact, people will jump to conclusions.
    Then, there are people who will jump to conclusions no matter what because "conspiracy" is their middle name.

    • @moneybags999
      @moneybags999 Před 2 lety +1

      @Rouge Five When he first died, they said "Saget, 65, was found lying face up, “tucked in his bed” in his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, police sources told TMZ. He had his left arm across his chest and his right arm lying beside him, with the hand on his chest suggesting the possibility of a heart attack."
      This is what was initially reported. Just a few days ago, "head trauma" was being listed as the official cause. So depending on how soon you found out, it does seem unexpected.

    • @moneybags999
      @moneybags999 Před 2 lety +1

      @Rouge Five If you google "Bob Saget heart attack," you will see all the articles where it was speculated that he had a heart attack or a stroke. Just this week, they're saying head trauma. All this proves exactly what I'm saying, they shouldn't have released anything until they had complete autopsy results.
      I didn't say he was found on the ground. The one thing that has been consistent is where he was found & what position he was lying in.
      "He thought he was alright and went to sleep." Well, we don't actually know what he thought. Now they're calling his head injuries "catastrophic" & saying that he had fractures in the back of his head & around his eyes. For all we know, he could have been in so much pain &/or was so discombobulated that all he could manage to do was lie down. After hitting your head to the point of suffering "catastrophic" damage, I can't imagine anyone thinking, "I'm fine." They're probably not thinking much of anything.

    • @moneybags999
      @moneybags999 Před 2 lety +1

      @Rouge Five LOL No. I didn't say that anything is suspicious. The point that I'm trying to make, that you're not getting, is how the media is notorious for speculating before all pertinent data is available.
      "First, anyone can make a "news outlet". True, but "reputable" new sources were also reporting the same speculated info.
      "Second, any news outlet can speculate on anything they want." And, I didn't say that couldn't. However, sometimes it causes confusion & sometimes it does get them in legal trouble depending on the issue at hand. What point are we arguing right now?

    • @moneybags999
      @moneybags999 Před 2 lety +1

      @Rouge Five No. Whoa. Back up. You're reading waaay too much into what I said.
      Again, my issue is with the report that he probably had a heart attack simply because of the way his arm was on his chest & that took off like wildfire. And it doesn't help when the headlines shortly after his death read, "Bob Saget's Cause of Death Revealed!" And they're talking about possible heart attack. I never saw anything about a head injury in those early articles.
      So, for those of us who erroneously believed that it was "just a heart attack," this new development seems strange. Not in an "OMG he was murdered!" kind of strange, but rather in a "Wow, I did NOT see that coming at all!" kind of strange. Nothing more, nothing less.
      I've read plenty of articles of celeb deaths where they will clearly state no cause of death has been officially determined. There is usually an update later on with the results. All I'm saying is it would have been great if that has been the case here.
      "You are here like "what isn't the media telling us? what is going on?" like there is some kind of vaccine conspiracy or something." Nope. You're really putting words in my mouth. Where did I talk about the vaccine or imply that the media was lying? My beef is with what the media reported, not with what they did NOT report. They got a snippet of info & ran off with it.
      The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is how a person can bang their head so hard that their skull is fractured in multiple places & a medical examiner would say that the person probably thought nothing of it & went to bed. I find it strange that the amount of pain that would be associated with such an injury would be so nonchalantly dismissed. Maybe the official didn't see the whole report? More speculation? That's all I have to say. You can twist it anyway you want. Lol
