@@maryjoysanderson I can never forgive ED for what they did to Jackson. A real ordinary character, who just happened to be gay, and unlike the likes of CS's Sean didn't mince or camp it up all the time. Jackson was far more real and it is a shame that Aaron didn't appreciate him more at this point.
I loved Jackson. He was a great character. It was a shame they made him a paraplegic and then killed him off.

Aw. I feel so bad for Shadrach. I know Aaron's just being Aaron and all, but he really could be a little nicer. Poor guy...

I think it's cool how people in Emmerdale say "alright" in place of hello or hi.
Ryan Je I felt uncomfortable when I first started hearing them ask "are you alright?" til I realized it 's the same greeting as our "How are ya?"

OH I LOVE LOVE LOVE AARON AND JACKSON TOGETHER!!! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! On the other hand, I felt bad for Aaron's grandfather. He had look so sad and pathetic.

I don't know the whole Emmerdale storyline, but I saw a bit where Shadrach said some insensitive stuff to Aaron when he came out. But here, he was apologising to Aaron, so he should have been cut some slack. Then again, Aaron is only 18 here, so still a vulnerable kid so to speak. If Shadrach was as wise as he should be for his age, he should have tried harder to make it up to Aaron. Humans are complex animals hey!
i love the second scene purely because jackson is really in control and no doubt that probably turns aaron on a little bit xx
Aaron was so cruel and disrespectful to Shadrach. My heart sank after watching Shadrach's reaction. I'd never ever speak like that to a senior citizen. Generally, the older generation are more conservative-minded and have less tolerance towards homosexuality. At least the poor old man was trying to make up for his initial prejudice against Aaron's sexuality. I'm counting on Jackson to teach Aaron lessons on humility. You're the right guy for Aaron, Jackson!

@cu449708 Shadrach is Aaron's grandfather (his mom's father). I felt bad for him too. He's said some unpleasant things, but he comes from a place of ignorance, not ill will.
Blimey! Is that longsleeve tee Jackson has on RED (more like reddish-orange)??? I'm guessing the writers read my plea. :D hahaha.... just wishful thinking. I doubt that they go through our comments. Does anyone know how many days ahead the shooting of an episode takes place before it is screened? I just have to know if this was purely a coincidence or not!

I feel kind of sorry for shadrach. Like he said before, it wasn't that he couldn't stand Aaron being gay. He just didn't understand. But he tryed and he tryed to do it right.
@steluvjamie I hope they haven't read your comments because it would mean that they are aware of this channel. These stations are not usually friendly to the idea of having their programs uploaded to YT and several channels have been shut down when the copyright owners became aware of them. I would hate for that to happen here...
I have not always followed this soap from the beginning. I came aboard right before Aaron figured out he was gay. Can someone explain what the story line is between Cain and Nathan? Because Cain is seriously getting on my nervous. Also, where the hell is Adam. I seriously miss his sexy, hot, gorgeous self. I miss the interaction him and Aaron had. The interaction btwn Aaron and Jackson has gotten better. However, I need to see Adam. I hope the writers have a hot storyline for Adam.

The day before he sort of ignored Aaron in the pub.
I think Aaron was a little harsh on him, after all, he is old & he has pickled his brain over the years. I don't think what he said was that bad, it made me laugh !
He was trying to make amends & I think Aaron is going to be sorry for being so short with him.
I don't know which I love more... that Jackson tried to chastise Aaron, or that it seemed to work. Aaron may not care what Shadrach thinks of him (Yeah right) but he definitely cares what Jackson thinks.
Aaron was being such a jerk to the old man. I know he said things wrong before but he's trying to sort it out now. He is trying to have some sort of relationship with his grandson and Aaron shows such disrespect.
Loved the funny moment the boys had together though. :)

@min1ade I thought the same thing too. I was like "he isn't going to die is he?" That usually happens when you bad mouth someone a few days before then they end up dead or missing and you are left with all that grief. But Jackson was cute, trying to calm Aaron down.

It's his granddad, Shadrach and Aaron may have been mean but you kinda have to look at it from his perspective too. He looked up to his granddad and then when he came out and needed him the most his granddad wasn't there for him.

He's Shadrach and he was Aaron's Grandad who couldn't acccept him as being Gay when he first came out but Aaron really looked up to him when he came to the village as a child before he left because Chas hit him. So Aaron doesnt reallt trust him anymore.

I am intensely bored by the Cain/Nathan story line and it feels contrived. Nicola is once again tiresomely, depressingly annoying. (Paddy is always nice of course) Marlon and Rona story is passably entertaining. Shagrat is revolting and repulsive. The writers need to make the other story lines compelling and believable, especially if they turn off the Aaron tap now and again.
