Teaching these young believers why the Early Church LOVED the Book of Revelation is a joy.
They saw everything in one place: God's Attributes were Illustrated, and Christ's Power was vividly portrayed. God wanted His Church to know the plan, so He sent it as the conclusion to the Bible. That is what we have today.

Have you paused yet today to check in with Jesus Christ? The best way to do that is through your Bible because Jesus Christ is revealed to us as the Word of God. He is the Word, and the Word reveals Him. Each time we open God’s Word, we can hear His Voice.
At Creation, God the Son, the Creator, spoke and made all things, and through His Apostles and Prophets, His Word has been given.
As you open the last book of your Bible, you are entering the climactic conclusion of God's Word written down for us.
The first word in the Greek New Testament text of Revelation is the word apocalupsis, which can be translated as either “revelation” or “unveiling”. The next two words are Jesus Christ. That means in this last book, we are:
Getting to See The Real Jesus: So we are opened to the “revelation of Jesus Christ”, or the “taking the cover off of Jesus Christ”, or the “disclosure of Jesus Christ”, or the “manifestation of Jesus Christ”, or the “unveiling of Jesus Christ” the Word of God. There is so much to think about as we open to these Last Words of Christ, God's Word.
Revelation completes God’s revelation of Himself to humanity through Christ.
In Genesis, the Creator, God the Son, walks and talks with Adam and Eve, the first two humans to ever exist, created at God's hand. But God does not stay walking and talking to them. Because they sinned, He banished them from the Paradise He made for them. Thus began all the sorrows and woes that have plagued humanity for thousands of years.
But in the book of Revelation, the Creator explains that He is back, actively walking on Earth again, among His people.
The Book of Revelation explains that God the Son, Jesus Christ the Creator, is on the ground guiding His Church to accomplish His purposes in the world.
Much like a coach on the floor with his team, Jesus Christ walks around and watches us play the positions He gave us. That is perhaps the most arresting truth in all the Bible for us. We are not alone. The Coach Himself, our Creator, personally wants to help us accomplish what He desires us to do.

The context of this verse deals with church discipline.
@@greglynch4547That's what the verse implies. It's not rocket science if two or more gather to talk about God's glory or worship him he will be there. There's no discipline about it or anything more than that, no further interpretation needed. Stop twisting God's word to suit your own purposes.
I am not twisting God's word. People must stop wrenching verses out of their context in order to prove a position.
Such a precious revelation of the Book of Revelation. When I was in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) we would teach children the pure word of God. These children were loved unconditionally because that was the first goal, for them to have at least one teacher in their little lives, whom they would remember, who made them feel loved and affirmed. Whenever a leader would ask them a question, their response was, “ JESUS” !! They learned to love Jesus through those precious children’s leaders. We are to come to Jesus with the faith of a child. You, Pastor, are a children’s teacher! You teach from the love you personally have FOR Jesus. Whatever degrees you have earned, pale in comparison to your degree of love for Jesus. Amen Pam, I was in BSF for 11 years. I learned so much during my time there but of course, still learning. Always will. I feel I'm the biggest sinner that's walked the earth but so grateful I'm saved by His Grace. My sins are covered by His blood He shed on the cross for us. Yeah I have been sick for over a year and am tired alot and in physical pain alot. But thank God I have done things that when I was healthy I was never able to get around to . I still pray everyday for strength and healing but if He comes first that will be awesome. But I know God is waiting for the greatest harvest possible I really don't know how He's going to pull it off but I have faith He will bring many more back before His return.

Gods Word is either a Blessing or an Indictment...sometimes we need the Indictment....to get to the Blessing.
I find it ironic that people refer to those who believe in the pre-trib rapture as "escapists". Jesus said: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. (Luke 21:36) Why would he say pray that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE, if there was no escape?

This is the age of the church being built up against Satan's wrath Rev 12. Satan is after the death , the separation eternally from Christ so his kingdom is puny and weak. Satan is after your soul.

Escape doesn't mean raptured away. God is able to protect his people during times of calamity. It is the wicked who are taken away. The righteous will remain and inherit the earth.

I'm honestly not sure whether the last days began with the crucifixion or the ascension. I strongly believe it's one or the other though, and since the time difference between the two events is basically inconsequential, compared to years, decades, or millennia, I rest assured that we are in the last days, and with each passing day we will be one day closer to Christ's glorious call to those who are dead in Christ, and who are alive the remain, waiting to hear "Come up hither". :)

Because you know if it happens. I couldn't see his face but I knew it was Jesus. I said I know Jesus I know Jesus. Jesus said to me do you know the 10 commandments and I didn't and it started me on a process of reading the bible and drawing closer to God! I was a professed Christian but I was Lukewarm without realizing it. I would've been spit out I was a fake Christian only in words not In life still watching and doing things God hates listening to music God hates ect.. but God helped me to realize it tha k you Jesus I was afraid but I do know the 10 commandments now hallelujah!!

Since everything is connected to something already said , I think the white stone is representative of each followers part in the building of the church kingdom.

I don't think it is a coincidence that stones are used to represent the church temple many times and that the end result of Revelation is the kingdom of Christ with a new temple/church.

Then it says we are a temple...

I think the white stone is something symbolic...a perfected pure addition to the new temple.

The first 19 chapters of Revelation delt with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD. Mathew 24 delt also with the destruction of Jerusalem.

Rev 12 is the summary of the crucifixion and the AC that arises after . Paul says it is already at work.
These are letters from Christ to help his church body understand their purpose and to see what "must occur shortly" while they build up the church until completion when "the last gentile is in".
