When Butler kicked that goal to really ice it, that was it for me. Then they put the camera on Richo & that really made me bawl my eyes out. Then we got to do it again in 2019 & 2020. Hopefully a few more times in the current dynasty too! Go Tigers!

as a crows fan, I look back on this game and know this was the beginning of the end for our premiership contention. still pains me that we couldn’t win it all, knowing that we could’ve kept everyone and contended for the next 2 seasons at least. instead of a premiership cup, we would eventually end up with a wooden spoon after 3 years. pain.
I met a couple in Los Angeles From Australia, We were at a Los Angeles Kings Hockey Game, Great people, they mentioned Richmond being their favorite team in Aussie Rules Football and how they had just ended a 37 year championship drought. I’m a new fan! From Los Angeles, Hello to everyone reading.

6 years later, Christmas 2023. I still weep every time I see it, especially Benny Gale with Peggy and his mum and brother former Tiger Michael. The feeling never fades. 🐯🏆
A day I’ll never forget. Never would I have thought that 2017 we would be the champions! I watch this multiple times a year and each time it brings back the same feeling I felt in that day. What a team!

As a loyal Richmond supporter, I must say after seeing us beat Collingwood in the 1980 grand final! I wondered if, I'd ever see them win another one, time after time we would look fantastic during seasons only to drop the bundle when the heat was on, but I never stopped supporting them even though we were very inconsistent with form at times we showed great promise, the last four out of five years have been awesome and to think we have won 3 Grand Finals in four years is a dream come true so thank you for all the fantastic memories.

Congrats to the Mighty Tigs, From a Blues fan, you guys are truly inspirational and loved what you did to the Crows and the Corporate Giants. We are building and building and building and ... well you know the rest bottom line you did it and made everyone believe it can be done. It's not about the talent, yeah you need that off course but its about every kick, pressure act and tackle made was for each other and your fans. That's what wins flags, the final ingredient Team Spirit, I want to believe we are building something special and can see it but will not allow myself to get too excited.

Here come the umpiring excuses. Mate, Adelaide were absolute trash and didn't deserve to be there. Completely and utterly choked.
How is that an excuse, I admitted Tigers were the better team on the day, just the umpiring missed a few crucial kicks, there were countless weird play ons, and 3 advantages that should have been called back.
Adelaide have been top of the ladder all year & had made the Grand Final. Also smashed Richmond earlier this year and the last few games they've played.
In all honesty, Adelaide are the best team in 2017. They've beaten everyone, went into the GF as #01. Umpiring this weekend in the first half was a joke and smashed Adelaide's confidence. It's as simple as that.
Richmond was gifted a home final, when it was suppose to be Geelong. Typical VFL doing it's thing.

The unrelenting will of Dusty to win the footy and the intuition to kick ahead to space to Houli, who cleanly put away a left foot beauty to setup our drought-breaking premiership draws a tear in the eye of any one-eyed Richmond supporter. Love you guys.

Patrick Dangerfield must be having the last laugh, because Josh Jenkins and his teammates aren't celebrating a premiership right now. I'll bet that Paddy is glad that he returned to his home at the Surf Coast to play for the Cats. He still has his Brownlow, but wouldn't have been a premiership player if he'd stayed at the Crows. Karma has come back to bite Josh Jenkins (and his teammates) in a very big way. But as for the Tigers, they deserve this, this is there moment to enjoy. Far too good on the day.

That Infamous Pre Season camp backfired on the Crows. lets just say its so bad that having online meetups on PSN, XBOX Live, Steam or Netflix or chill would have been better for the relationship between the players and the fans with better onfield performances

What was that Vladimir? One abominable game from the all conquering team of the previous 18 months does not a worse playing list make. St Kilda didn't have a better list due to thrashing Richmond in an aberration last year either. It was 22 scoring shots to 18 and all but 2 or 3 Tigers had shockers, and nothing went right for them, and they were still in it with 15 minutes to go when it was 79 - 58. Every Collingwood fan was absolutely shitting themselves at that point.

A massive congratulations to Richmond. Very well deserved and fantastic to see another club break their very long Premiership after the Western Bulldogs did it last year. Hope to see Melbourne and StKilda soon join them. Its just a magnificent story.
Anyway I predicted them to thrash Richmond. It was just logic for me. Adelaide's high attacking style just simply plays right into Richmond's high pressure. So as great as they were all throughout the season and Finals, Richmond had batter and more effective tactics for the most important game of the calender and Damien Hardwick completely out coached Don Pyke.
