Years ago someone close to me wouldn’t forgive me until I actually said I’m sorry. I kept asking will you forgive me? I was so upset by this. But I realize forgiveness is a choice. I finally gave in and said I’m sorry on a Good Friday. Then peace came.
Amen! And a good and healthy choice at that!
Saying I'm sorry is actually much more difficult to say than Will you forgive me. It acknowledges your sorrow in a more concise way.

My family is too healing. It's an unbelievable good feeling! We only have one brother who will not come into our family bc of his wife. But we have forgiven him and her, but she is full of hate. The rest of us have come together in love and forgive the past hurts.

Wow! Thank you Fr. Mark! Just yesterday I went to confession and confessed that I had been hanging on to past hurts and struggled to forgive people. I realise that I have had a lack of peace which is my own fault. There is great joy and peace which feels like a weight having been lifted from my heart, as I am determined to let go and forgive and forget the hurt caused. This is truly life giving and life changing!

Sometimes, unforgiveness can have an influence on us, because it is a dark spirit. It can be removed by deliverance prayers and enough Rosaries, I'm sure...📿🩷🤍♥️🙏
I experienced the same confession two weeks ago. I made a list of all the people in my life that I have never formally forgiven, just suppressed the memories until they rise to the surface, again and again. Father suggested I offer my Mass for one of the people. I decided to offer a Mass every day for one person on the list and pray for them as I make my way through the list. It's such a beautiful and healing process.

Yesterday I read a post that started with ' the people who left you for dead' well that actually happened to me - they left and took what they wanted from my home on the grounds I wouldn't need it anymore ( this is a fragment of a big story) the post went on to quote that Jesus had prepared a table for me before my enemies - and I found myself wondering if he'd mind - should this happen- if I invited them to join me - then I just fell into prayer for them - I felt so sad for what they had been through. And I thank and praise God. I hadn't thought about it for years
Your insight is beautiful & heart warming 💗✝️ Yes, I believe Jesus would want you to invite them to the feast 🥰 Jesus Loves everyone despite our own brokenness & died to Save us ✝️ I will meditate in prayer over the feast. I have various family members who don't speak to me (unjustly) so it is important to forgive & let God handle it 🙏✝️🕊 God Bless 🕊

Forgiveness is something you do for yourself. God will not forgive you until you forgive people who hurt you. You have to accept God’s forgiveness and forgive yourself because you are not above God’s mercy and forgiveness. ❤️

I'm so grateful to God that He has always given me His grace to forgive easily no matter the hurt. I didn't deserve this gift, so I thank Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior for His mercy. If you find it difficult to forgive others, (or yourself) ask God for the graces; He could make it easy to forgive.

Yes Father, we need to remind ourselves of that moment when Jesus was dying on the cross!
Forgiveness is an act of obedience for disciples of Jesus. Sometimes the wounds go deep and forgiveness could be difficult. A dear woman taught me a prayer many years ago and I've shared it with many people. “As and act of obedience, in the name and under the blood of Jesus, I forgive......” we can forgive the person because of Jesus and cover the person with His healing blood.

If someone hurts you, ask God to bless them do that they will see what they have done to you. Forgiveness is something we do for ourselves. If you don’t forgive, it’s like a slow consuming poison. These people have moved on, and you are still hurt. Jesus asks us to forgive as He forgave us.

I have 2 family members that I have had problems with. I don't even know why they are not talking to me!! I have asked several times for their forgiveness. One just said "okay" but still won't talk to me. The other will not respond to me at all. Very sad. But I believe I have done my part by asking for their forgiveness (for whatever they think I have done to them). It is now up to them to accept it and have a relationship again. I just keep praying for them.
Ì Always find it easy to forgive but I carry the wound because I have a hard time to forget , I never let people into my heart again who hurt me , I don’t make the same mistake twice . Viva Cristore

It might make more sense if everyone knew that unforgiveness is a dark spirit...it needs deliverance prayers or Rosaries to leave...and if and when it returns, more deliverance prayers and Rosaries.
We're not lazy or stupid...😊 Sometimes we just need to understand a problem and be taught how to use the proper tools to deal with it, or the right virtue to develop to eliminate it...😊

Don't feel bad Sandra, things could always be more annoying and dramatic, like my most current story:
I learned the virtue of enduring "torture" a little more today...when the ER Dr. had to work for 60 min straight, with the wrapping procedure, to be able to pull my wedding 💍 band and engagement rings off my swollen finger, which became badly swollen in about 15 min., after a good wasp sting/bite, which apparently I had no idea I'm allergic to... Michael and I tried everything under the sun to get the swelling down last night, but by 5 am this morning, the whole finger was numb and tingly and itchy. So I had the great honor of waking up my poor dear husband, on his birthday no less, to let him know that if it comes down to choosing between my finger and the rings, we will have to save my finger...! 🤍🙏
Thanks be to God, and Praise be Jesus Christ, the ER Dr. and his assistant were able to save both!! :):)
Actually, the credit goes to Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother and James Bond. Because I kept saying Lord help me out loud, while praying Hail Mary's, and enduring this torturous procedure by reminding myself that they "tortured" OO7 (James Bond )all the time, so I should be able to handle it this one time. I know this sounds very silly, but it worked! The Dr. even said I have "grit", whatever that means, but I didn't tell him my secret. I did thank him and let him know that I will pray for him though...
I hope this message finds you well and full of hope. And I know as a nurse, you will be able to endure and survive anything that our Good Lord throws your way. I plan on offering up all I went through during the last 24 hrs. for everyone in this channel which includes you, of course! 😊🙏

Another brilliant message from this man of God! This priest is an outstanding purveyor of God 's word! I personally struggle with forgiveness. I have an ex wife that was vile! She wronged me in innumerable ways. I find it impossible to forgive her. I am open to suggestions from anybody on this. Any help would be appreciated.
God bless you. I will pray for you regarding this. My suggestion would be to try and pray for her as much as you can. Even little prayers, like “God, please help her have a good day today.” I hope this might help a little bit.

Wow Father, amazing message.... I forgive...
I want to forgive my family but the sin is so great its hard to separate them and the sin. The excuse of bad behaviour and bad choices on the family member is unbelievable i almost become resentful. And i cry to Our Lord to release this unforgiveness because i do realise they are all ignorant lost do not know Our Lord and locked up in chains. So than i becone annoyed at myself for knowing this and frustrated with my unforgiveness and anger all i know is not from God! I also have children to protect of my own from the other family members that have lots of problems a lot of volience and bad blamsphey. Its a hard line to protect and also have kindness and be around it. Please pray for me and the family that needs a conversion.
