    "Well then wtf is the problem?" Gee Alan isn't it your job to figure that out? You've blown so many damn races with awful calls the last two years it's a joke. Jeff blew at least one race win this year with a dumb mistake but the rest of the season he's had shit cars or you've blown the strategy. Wtf happened in Charlotte? You pitted so you could try to make it on fuel and then chickened out and came in again, everyone else running that strategy stayed out and made it including Edwards who won the damn race! Gustafson is the WORST strategist of any of the big time teams he needs to go. This whole season has been mediocre at the best, it'd be a shame to end a great career with this kind of year.

      And now he's cost Chase about 5 wins as well

      Alan is still bringing shit cars to the track. Only difference is it's Elliott having to drive the shit boxes

    Alan's tired of Jeff dropping anchor on restarts, and Jeff's tired of Alan pitting the car from the top 10 and coming out 20th. I'd be frustrated if I were either one of them.

    Meltdown?
    I don't think so.
    This is just two dudes having a shitty day.

    That's about the most heated I've heard Jeff and a crew chief ever! What's also interesting is the lack of post checkered flag banter. There's usually a bit of "rah rah" or "great job team" but today it was radio silence after the last lap.

      ***** I agree! A lot of people are saying this isn't a meltdown, but I don't think I've ever heard anything like this over Jeff's radio before.

      ***** the basically won a championship last year, it is just how it goes after a great year, to the next, has happened to Gordon before.
      Considering how good Alan and Jeff are, not winning as much as everyone had expected when they got paired, it is dissapointing. Still Alan got the 7th, no matter what others say.

    Its not a meltdown. Not having track position will piss anyone off at pocono. They also know they were wrong for getting angry at each other so what does every man do when they know they were wrong.. We go silent.

    Sad to see Jeff's final year go the way it's been going. Hopefully he can still turn things around and maybe win 1 race or 2 before the year ends.

    I think its just that theyre having a terrible season. And they both are just confused on whats happening. I think they just need to start over when it comes to the races and try new things. Ofcouse its easier said than done tho

      +Alex Knight We both had the same thoughts to come to this video to compare how bad his season was 5 months ago to the biggest threat for the tittle this is huge we are glad he tamed Martinsville this time they are peaking at the perfect time while all the other chase drivers that dominated the season are now just getting their fair share of bad luck. Would love to see the final three spots just like they are except Edwards over Harvick then Gordon's chances are super then again what does it matter the way the team is heading he will end up wining the race and the championship like Harvick did last year. I am pumped! #24ever #team24 #Drive4five #ironman

    you could hear this coming it just happened at this race. Jeff is willing to gamble Alan seems more reserved. It is not the fault of the Hendrick motors or chassis..Let's get it together guys so we can make and win this Championship. SURE HOPE WE START AT SONOMA!!

    In my opinion Alan Gustafson isn't the crew chief for Jeff Gordon. It would be nice if Ray or even Robbie would be Jeff's crew chief.

      Mike Maracle Funny how nobody was saying stuff like this last year. And who was the crew chief in 2014 that brought us back to Victory Lane at the Brickyard and gave us our most dominant/competitive season since 2007? Oh right.

    gordon is the problem. he has had two winning cars this year, and both times he was busted speeding on pit road. alan would do so much better with a driver that wanted to win races and a championship

    • @tylerp4130
      @tylerp4130 Před 9 lety +2

      What about the rest of the year when they've been mediocre? Whose fault is that? Gustafson can't get his arms around the new rules package and they're junk most of the time. Gordon did blow the race at Martinsville, the one at Talladega there's no way of knowing cuz that place is such a crapshoot, but they've had mediocre AT BEST cars the rest of the time and Alan can't fix them in race or he makes the wrong strategy call.

    • @kristopherclore6085
      @kristopherclore6085 Před 9 lety +1

      WTF are you talking bout ur bout dumb as shit if you think gordon is the problem. Yeah hes got busted speeding 2 times when hes' had a winning car, but what about all the other races when they've had shit cars and terrible strategy because of Allen.

    • @15_370Z
      @15_370Z Před 9 lety

      Gordon hasn't been the same since his last championship. He is and has been complacent. Complacency is not a good thing for any athlete to have. I'm glad he's leaving, I won't be as frustrated anymore.

    • @FlightSimFanatic
      @FlightSimFanatic Před 9 lety

      Bronco Fan I'm as frustrated as you are to see his final year playing out like this, but anybody following JG for any length of time knows this package isn't his type of race car. He likes them snug, Jimmie likes them loose. We saw this same situation play out in 2008 through 2010 with the COT, right up to and including the widespread complaints about Letarte. NASCAR chopping the spoiler this year was the worst thing that could have happened. This goes beyond any one person.

    • @tylerp4130
      @tylerp4130 Před 9 lety

      Jeff Rushing I agree with you that he's not the same driver, it's been frustrating to watch. There are many times he has a chance to be aggressive and won't do it for whatever reason and it's cost him. But he showed last year he still has the talent to win, they need to get it together cuz the the team as a whole has made a lot of mistakes this year. I'm just tired of them bringing junk cars to the track, then never being able to adjust them in race and just being mediocre. Something has to change.
