I loved Sam Wilson when he was "the Falcon" but now, I dislike him 😢
"You've gotta do better helena" 😝
It was cringeworthy when he was doing Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as the script seemed to have him constantly telling the white characters to 'DO BETTER.' So WOKE!!!
Loved the character as Falcon, but the actor lacked charisma. Now add on the fact that he was insufferable in Falcon & the Winter Soldier, he's totally ruined as a character for me.
Only $400 million? I need Disney to sink more money into this. The more they lose the more society wins.
I’m thinking at this point it has to be money laundering.
good to see I'm not the only one thinking this.
it's a very likely explanation. they are on purpose producing garbage that they know will need lots of reshoots and do overs, and use the chaos in the process to launder/steal millions that are hard to keep track of.
The suits are getting "bonuses", and they are making up positions for all their friends and family!
It has to be
I'm of the mind that it's more of a Hanlon's razor situation. 😂
i keep seeing that comment...and frankly its the only explanation that makes any logical sense.
I look forward to neither watching nor supporting this film.
Disney must be printing money. They spend tens of millions of dollars like I spend a $10 bill.
Green washing will destroy the environment industry and probably the video game industry as well.
10 billion?
Shhhhhhhhhh!!! The mouse is always listening... 😂
Vanguard and BlackRock money right there.
@@brennancarter7721 But I think both BlackRock and Vanguard Group have to start asking questions about that level of monetary spending on *ONE* movie.
If this makes $400 million gross I will question what is wrong with humanity.
It will, even if the devil mouse has to buy 100M in tickets.
It will need to make $1 billion to break even 🤣🤣🤣
Wait, Harrison Ford is going to play red Hulk? Oh man this is gonna be stupid.
You WILL watch the movie then vote Democrat.
Remember when Heaven's Gate was the benchmark for a ridiculously overbudgeted flop?
yes and the marvels was a worst box office bomb..and nobody mention that anynmore
Never heard of that.
good point
If I remember right, WATER WORLD nearly ended Costner's career.
But that doesn't even come close to what Disney's been burning AND CONTINUES to burn through.
@@coolwata105 at least waterworld recover in vhs sales..now with mayors dont care about phisical copies..
I'm just going to assume Disney is an unkillable zombie at this point. BlackRock and Vanguard can't have THAT much money to keep giving them, so something extraordinary is keeping them from being bankrupt.
Those companies can fabricate their own money bro. Who can stop them you see?
They have all the money in the world, they own this Country and own all of the world governments.
Blackrock has federal pension money. That's about as close to unlimited funds as it gets for a private entity. Maybe if everyone writes their congressman, that money will be taken away.
you're joking right? the money comes from retirement funds. if you work a normal job in usa a part of your salary goes to them every month they have infinite money as long as there is an economy
@@nooby165*Pensions
Anyone with a 401k or self directed IRA doesn't have anything to do with that.
It'll suck for the private sector... but at some point the question has to be asked *why* are the plan admins being allowed to put money in Blackrock and Vanguard managed funds at this point
The Sunk Cost Fallacy has entered the chat.
400M + another 125M or more in marketing? This thing will need to make almost 1.1B just to break even. That's absolutely insane.
i wont even break 200mil i suspect
and 'breaking even' is still actually a failure because this is money that could have been better spent on literally anything else. it's money that's been tied up for 3+ years just to MAYBE be made back. it's money spent on what, in financial terms, is a complete waste of time and effort. And that's a best case scenario.
You spend this much money and for it to really be a success you're talking a return of 1.5 BILLION. Anything less than that and, well, it was ultimately pointless to all the investors.
spending this much money on ANY movie would be insane. On a movie they know isn't going to go anywhere? this is beyond insanity. Especially after what happened to 'the marvels', they don't even have the excuse of ignorance....
Sorry. Captain birdie get no penny from me.
Disney/Marvel learned absolutely nothing from The Marvels and this is likely going to be a much bigger bomb to. Especially with the state the MCU is in, but neither the MCU or Star Wars are in a position that the customer no longer cares for either.
I find it amazing that once upon a time we used to talk about movies, plot points, quality of acting, script, cinematography. Now we talk about how much money is going to be lost with each movie, and stock price.
Another Indy 5 type disaster lol keep em comming Disney!
just remember... someone is getting paid for these screwups. And since the screwups are getting bigger and more frequent these overbudget features aren't accidents. Antony Mackie said it himself... "Can we just have a script!?!"

@@McFrozenNuggets yes ! My mistake
Nobody needs Captain DEI.
Was he not captain America in the comics? Or did I miss something...
Nobody need Kevin Feige, but he is still there!
Sam "Falcon" Wilson has been Captain America's sidekick and best friend since 1969. If any character has earned the right to take a turn at being Cap, it's Sam.
If people gather together and the group isn’t diverse enough he crashes through the wall like the Koolaid man and screams “You got to do better!”
@@brooklyngemini3410 yes he was , its just an earlier version of DEI. The comics went woke long before the movies did.
We “just finished reshooting its reshoots, making it the most expensive TV show ever. So, you know, it's got to be good. Am I right?”-A Train, in “The Boys.”
I love that part. This season has been fire I dun understand the hate or lack of talk about it tho.
“That man is in no condition to fucc a sheep.”
@@Byronic19134 That was one of those moments where I just yelled "WHAT??" while laughing. I know a lot of people hate on The Boys and to some extent I get it but the show is amusing to no end.
@@Byronic19134 Hate?! I've not heard one person say a bad thing about The Boys. Where did you hear hate for The Boys? The show is great. I thought everyone was enjoying it.
@likeluptid - I am not subscribed to Critical Drinker but I did catch a recent video where he slammed the last two seasons.
@@inspiraPaz I don't know who that is. Is this a CZcams channel? I wouldn't expect much positivity to come from anyone calling himself "critical" or "drinker."
This is so crazy! And nobody wants it! Do they think it's ten years ago!?!!? And that anyone would want this weird 'Captain Falcon America' thing in any decade?
Agreed. Even back in the hay days Captain America didn’t make huge profits
Didn't they learn from people TUNING OUT from the Falcon and Winter Soldier show that this was NOT going to work? Nope. Go WOKE Go Broke!
I want it and I don’t understand how Falcon being Cap is weird because one of my favorite comics of all time is the Time Runs Out storyline where both Sam and Steve are Cap, now that’s weird.
@@Byronic19134 It was a generalisation, nobody cares if 1 person drank the cool aid of a modern comic book arc made to justify the cinematic choice. You gonna pay the $400mil budget bill alone, are ya?
@@TriggerJim88 Sam Wilson becoming Captain America in the comics happened long before the cinematic arc.
According to insiders, someone swapped the early version of the script with the society of magical negros script and no one noticed till post production.
There's no way
Lololol
@@magma_fire_bagwanthe rumor is that it was gonna be one big January 6th allusion
@@jooglebobThe Boys already got that one covered…..,in spades 😂
This is a ridiculous rumor! Ha ha ho!
To think they expected anyone to believe this film actually _has a script!_ LOL !!
Marvel didn't just sacrifice an insane amount of money for this. They sacrificed a popular character. Nobody had a problem with the Falcon. If Marvel had wanted to a series of small but profitable movies like the original Ant-Man then Falcon would have been perfect. But now they have Captain You've Got To Do Better Senator, and he's not universally accepted.
Everyone is wondering, where is Disney getting its money from? They are burning money more than most small nations GDP.
We're at the point where it's genuinely an untenable question, whether or not it's cheaper to cancel it out right or not
Is it a surprise that when you make Captain Anti-America, that people will not like it and require so many reshoots?
It's gonna be such a failure
That’s the spirit.
They can re shoot this film all they want. I’m still not watching it in theaters. Lol
I ain't watching it at all lol
Why would anyone want to watch a Captain Ameirca movie, without Captain Ameirca?
because it's overpriced garbage
I’m not watching it at all.
They should just give this movie the Batwoman treatment and torch it, never to be released. Take the L and recoup some of the budget through a tax loss
You have to wonder at what point the investors will finally have had enough and step in to put an end to this complete madness.
100+ years and when we get dark souls 4 to 6
The whole board battle resently was to try and get control of the wheel and fix the company but the large shareholders voted against Peltz and prevented him from getting onto the board and getting the company to course correct properly, its a case of simply sit back and watch to see what happens in the future, there no doult that CA4 will fail to recoop its costs, the Thunderbolts will likely crash and burn unless the film is really good and the budget hasn't spiralled out of control and people are curious about it, but after that, what they got going for them? Blade is stuck in production hell due to bad script after bad script being produced and trying to sideline the main character in favor of another character, we already know that Lucasfilm is completely out of control and yet the board has done NOTHING to sort out this problem, its simply a matter of time and letting Disney squirm under the pressure of displeased customers and business partners and with a serious rival emerging to take the park crown from them in the near future! Their answer to epic universe: Tiana's Bayou adventure, a bad retheme of a much beloved attraction and its got a lot of negativety surounding it outside of the fact they demolished Splash mountain to create it and it having a lot of issues likely resulting from being rushed and having no experienced imagineers working on it to start with, as they been chased off to their rivals! So at this point, if I was an investor, when the stock is at a reasonable amount, I would sell out, even if the profit is tiny, there is no point in sticking with a sinking ship and putting the money into something else that actually makes money!
Most investors are woke sheep.
Even if inside out and wolverine and dead pool make over a billion at the box office ...
Its only a drop in the ocean to the 10s of billions disney has lost not only at the box office but at the parks , streaming and in merchandising
Plus all the other things disney wasted billions on that flopped ....
Gross, not "make" remember the VR formuoa: cost=1.5Xproduction. Studio take= 0.5Xdomestic BO + 0,25XintlBO
Please consider this hipothesis and look into it. I really think Disney is on purpose making absolutely awful productions that they know will need countless reshoots and do overs, with the purpose of laundering money. they use the chaos and constantly changing shooting plans to cover up a lot of missing money which is very hard to keep track of in such conditions.
it's a very strong and logical possibility.
That would dereliction of financial governance. Something that could cost Disney *TENS* of billions in financial legal settlements.
@@Sacto1654 Legal settlements to who?
Cause it's becoming obvious the only people who care are the minority shareholders
Has Disney even considered the concept of Sunk Costs? I suppose this is what happens whena weather man runs an entertainment company.
SOUND TO ME LIKE MONEY LAUNDERING IS GOING ON. NO WAY IN HELL ONE MOVIE SHOULD COST THAT MUCH! I can understand movies like Avatar because of the new technology they created for it, but every other movie ...NO WAY !!!
Dont they know that none of us are going to watch Captain Black Falcon movie?
The 2012 film _John Carter_ was notorious for the extensive reshoots ballooning the budget so much that it had to make over $500,000,000 just to break even, which, of course, it didn't, losing $200,000,000 for Disney and becoming the biggest box office bomb of all time.
The budget for _John Carter_ was $300,000,000.
Ready the blast shields, boys; we've got a Tunguska Event incoming.
All the people going to the parks, buying the timeshares, and going on the cruise subsidize this crap. All from a company that hates them.
So many sheep and normies that either are unaware or just don't care about how Disney operate.
And I’ll spend ZERO.. not watching it. Thanks Disney, for saving my hard earned cash.
So does this mean they'll remove "Captain America" from the posters for China like they did with Finn in Star Wars?
They will just show the shield
It was completely finished 3 times. Did they think nobody would notice?
That movie will be lucky to do flash numbers in theaters. It'll probably do marvels numbers.
I've already spent $100 on deadpool tickets.
I have no intention of going to see captain america 4, not after the falcon and winter soldier D+ series.
I pre bought 8 tickets to go see Deadpool and have no interest in seeing the new cap movie. I even asked my son that’s 10 what movie you want to see and he straight said Deadpool and he said the new Captain America sucks. And I’m with him on that.
No one I know is interested in seeing Anthony Mackie as Captain Falcon let alone Harrison Ford as Red Hulk. Anthony Mackie just doesn’t have what it takes to carry this show.
Don't spend a dime on marketing because nobody is gonna see the movie anyway.
Wouldn't it have been cheaper for Disney to scrap this film and write it off?
Yes, a tax break.
Knowing Disney they probably have made commitments that would result in them having to pay $$$ to get out of which means they are screwed if they do/ don't not to mention the amount of 💩 on their face if they scrapped it.
It's a giant piece of propaganda and they just can't get it right. People keep throwing up.
possibly, unless part of the actor contracts is part of the movie's gross, then it's legally breach of contract to not release it. Then it's a bit messier.
That would open Disney up to a lawsuit from the screen actors guild at a time when they despise Bob Iger already, so in addition to lost money it could also be a humiliating PR disaster for Iger personally... and we all know what matters to him far more than money, don't we?
@@petriew2018 Is Iger that terrified of PR?
The point to just take the bomb and move on was probably at the 200 million mark. There's no way this is going to make back it's money or not be a utter disaster
Spending more money on a movie that doesnt have Captain America in it.
What could go wrong?
There are websites that say the budget is around 350 and 375 million, but it's still going to be a really expensive movie.
They have no idea how to please the fans for any of the IP's the F'd up! Disney needs new management asap.
I think there’s a lot of money laundering going on at Disney.
First thing Anthony Mackie will never be Captain America second thing Anthony Mackie will never be Captain America third I won't spend one red cent on that abomination.
Threefitty? Lol. "You've got to do better." killed this franchise.
They are making sure we get the DEI Captain America so it matches their recent strategy, no matter the cost lol
You sound ridiculous, they planned on making Sam Cap since Winter Soldier over 10 years ago. It has nothing to do with DEI they are doing a Time Runs Out type of story going into Secret Wars.
Multiple reshoots…..
The more money they waste the happier I become.
Also, this captain black America movie is already a bomb with this budget.
When this movie fails and loses 500 million expect the tickets triple in price to get into Disneyland.
After the first reshoots didn't work, they should have trashed it and restarted
$400 million? Disney’s gotta be laundering money for the Chinese, or they know these movies will flop, and just want a huge tax write off.
Anthony Mackie already had a superhero persona. He didn't earn the Captain America role, but he was already the beloved Falcon. I really enjoyed watching Mackie as Falcon. There are so many actors who could've been cast in the Captain America role.
Good video with great infos! Keep up the great work!
Captain America 4 will undo all the good that Deadpool and Wolverine generate for the MCU
This failed in the comics and it'll fail in theaters even more. Nobody wants to see this shit
Still trying to understand how Sam can be Captain America without the serum. If he's not super powered, that means in theory one single punch could kill him. If he's just an ordinary guy then what's the point of him wearing a simple suit, why not wear the hulkbuster ironman suit. As long as we're on the subject he might as well be Tony Stark without the genius level IQ.
I already cant wait to not see Cap 4. End Game was truly the end.
Real Rhodey as Iron Man (taking a page from the original Secret Wars event) > Sam as “Sgt. America” (he was a sergeant before becoming Falcon; it’s at least more fitting than calling him Captain America without him having the super serum).
How can it be called "Captain America" with no Captain America in it?
This is stupìd, some of us liked the Falcon and don't want to see him get absorbed into Cap. Dont fix it if it's not broke.
Arguably they did a good job on their remake in the new trailor but you’re still entirely right nobody had a problem with captain America being white 😂
theres probably 5 completely different cuts of this movie with different plots and villains.
This Movie Better be Impeccable or its Gonna be one of the biggest let downs in Hollywood
Why doesn't this Captain America film have Captain America in it? That's Captain Falcon. I liked Captain Falcon, but he's NOT Captain America. He's not a bio-engineered supersoldier; just a guy who can fly.
$400 000 000 is INSANE for a reshoot.
Great idea YEARS AGO but had to dig and dig amd dig why is falcon wearing cap suit? Then a freaking day later, I fell upon your video again then it clicked "awe yeah, shit I remember.... that's old and so short that I forgot about it".
This is hubris all around. The movie will HAVE to make at least $900 million back in order to justify its insane budget. Considering Bob Eager Beaver's demand that eveeerrryyyy movie have some stupid woke message, I say it's 99% likely this will too.
Inside Out of the frying pan and into the fire-verse.
look forward to neither watching nor supporting this film.
This can only mean one thing:
The "B" team was put in charge. The "A" team is burdened with money counting.
So rounded up to $400M, in order for this movie to break even, it would have to make $1.2B. This movie is never making a profit and should probably be a tax write off at this point
Toho Productions’ budget cost to make Godzilla Minus One is only $15 million dollars remake of OG Godzilla (1954) compared to how much Disney is burning up too much cash on Captain America 4.
Insanity, thy name is Disney.
So, CA: Brave New World will cost more than Indy 5? Well, that's breaking new ground...
Sad to see Harrison Ford end his career
This won't get past the $750 million range. Disney as a brand is tarnished no matter if they get 2 or 3 hits this year.
Disney, like many publically traded companies, have the aquivalent of the US government's printing press. It's called the stock/equity markets.
Is Disney doing some kind of "The Producers" thing we don't see?
So we are looking at an end total budget of around $550 mil? So they need to break over $1B to make profit?
Ohhhhh boy this is gonna be a money pit deeper than the Challenger Deep
I have come to the conclusion that Disney would be better off (financially) by not making any movies. They have seem to have lost touch with their audience and to continue making big budget movies that have a better chance of bombing then being a financial success.
Inside/Out and Deadpool and Wolverine better make disney a lot of profit because their hits are few and far between.
I guess Disney needs to sweet talk the UK into giving a bigger tax credit for this film. The standard percentage is not enough.
Anthony Mackie is not him. Dude has zero charisma, he cannot carry a 400 million dollar movie.
It's like Kevin Feige is trying to offer "The Marvels" some cover by blowing a few more million $$ on a movie that test screenings have already said is NOT going to do well. No one asked for Anthony Mackie as Captain America. As I have told my comic aficionado son over and over again, they should have stopped after "Endgame". It was the smartest thing to do.
I do think some of the failure of Dial of Destiny was backlash over the rise of Skywalker from the shared original fans of both franchises.
You know you suck when numerous people have made a career of insulting you
I smell a tax write off coming.
Disney's like a rooster cooking itself from the inside out, while strutting around like no one can challenge it.
Disney entertainment (Disney+, Marvel, Lucas Film and even Pixar) are proven continuing losses with no end in sight and the parks aren't doing any better. The moment Universal opens it's new expansion, Disney will see a drop in attendance that will only be matched by the nosediving audience ratings of The Acolyte.
If Black Rock and Vanguard's hired guns on the Board want Disney to go broke, they should simply order their boy Iger to halt all productions, close all studios, further reduce park hours, raise ticket pricing and special event fees and divide the spoils.
The Mouse should then take a cue from Willy Wonka, lock the gates and not return for a few decades.
Captain America is Steve Rogers. Sam Wilson is Falcon.
I'm not watching that fake Captain America - "you can do better!"
Bravo
This thing is gonna cost 600M with marketing.
These budget numbers are astronomical…and beyond comprehension.
Meanwhile the Korean moves Sea Fog 2014 cost 10 million, The Host 2006 cost 11 million, Project Wolf Hunting around 10 million and Train to Busan cost 9 million, it's not even funny at this point how much money is being wasted what on earth is keeping Disney going didn't they loose enough last year to end them.
Should reshoot the last 20 minutes where Steve Rodgers comes in to save the day and takes the shield back (perhaps some dangerous medical experiment to give him his youth back?).
I say have Steve wearing a Widows mask at the end of Endgame because he went back in time to save Natasha which is why Sam asked about the girl not Peggy. No way is Steve giving a soul stone to Red Skull and him staying in the past messes up the timeline completely I always hated that idea.
Disney's going to end up spending over half a billion dollars on this abomination when marketing is included.
Disney's going to lose 300+ million dollars on this.
Hopefully Disney will lose more on this than they lost on Kathleen Kennedy's Indiana Jones and the feminist of Doom.
It's like they do not know how run film business. Rewrites cost thousands to hundreds to do because the cost is pay per hour of the writers. Reshoots cost millions because you not just paying one writer you paying a whole crew to redo it. The producer needs to be fire because he or she is incompetent.
What will hurt this movie is if it gets 'too preachy' which it will...it's Disney
Lmfao 🤣 $400m and that's before they've even spent on marketing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even The Flash movie knew when it was time to stop pouring money into the pitt.
Been a Marvel fan for over 50 years, but not anymore. Ever since we lost Stan and Disney took over it's been nothing but downhill with each film getting worse and worse. I'm done. I don't care about this movie at all. I never even liked Anthony Mackie. Not as a person or an actor, and I sure as heck don't want to see him as Captain America without powers. Pretty much everyone around my age wants nothing to do with this stuff anymore and we number in the millions. I can't imagine this "film" being anything less than a disaster.
The weirdest thing about them doing a reshoots after reshoot and it keep failing is because they killed off the original Captain America in the Avengers: Ending games so this movie is going to keep failing because the storyline and the superhero characters those not add up and angel/ captain America doesn't have captain America powers to fight and win over red Hulk and Red Hulk and Hulk never fight on the movie screens and never been on the Avengers movies, So it don't matter how many reshoots It's gonna flop.
