Whatâs In My Sling Bag? | 2024 Airport EDC
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 1. 08. 2024
- These are the items that I pack inside my sling bag/chest pack every time I go to the airport and embark on a new journey. Having some sort of sling bag is a big time essential for travel, and packing it with all the right things is all the more important.
Enjoy!

What did I miss? Whatâs your biggest travel essential? Let me know here!!
What is the name of the bag?
Aquaphor is a godsend. My tip - if you are going on a weekend trip and don't need much pickup the .35fl oz tube. It is super handy!
Great call! I am 100% bringing that on my next weekend adventure. Thanks for the tip, and for watching in commenting!
Thanks for making me double check my Teams notifications every time you named one of your travel items đ
Lol! Big trip coming up?
I couldn't get past those dreamy blue eyes.
Why thank you đ
I like carrying a sling bag - everything is very handy and esp. under a jacket, it's a bit safer from pickpockets. In addition to what you pack (minus the journal and the ipad), I carry a small pack each of Lysol wipes (for airplane trays and armrests and hotel remotes), hand wipes (so I don't have to worry about extra liquids with hand sanitizer), and baby wipes (in case washrooms are out of TP). Also a small kit (in a pencil case) with basic lipstick and eye pencil as well as chapstick, a folding toothbrush, toothpicks, safety pins, emery board, nail clippers, a few zip ties, band aids, gravol, acetaminophen, and ibuprofen - since whatever can go wrong will, it's good to be prepared.
I love that âwhatever can go wrong willâ mentalityâŠitâs almost always true! Sounds like you are very prepared. Iâm going to be adding Lysol wipes and hand wipes to my travel essentials for sure. Something I always think about when I donât have themđ đ.
Thank you for watching and commenting and safe travels on your next adventure!
Love how organized you are with your travel supplies! Definitely need to up my game, last time I was at the airport I was charged 150$ for carry onđ
Yikes!! Definitely want to avoid that. Hopefully this inspired you!
I discovered Libby this year and it's such a game changer; great for deciding if I wanna actually buy a book/audiobook. My local library also has some of the more popular manga which is pretty cool.
Isnât it awesome?? Iâm currently reading Berserk and Blue Lock via Libby. What are you reading these days?
@@NateGillinMedia Iâm reading Kaiju No. 8 right now, outside of Libby. Probably gonna tackle Haikyuu after that. Unfortunately a lot of the manga on Libby I wanna read is currently checked out.
Iâd say thatâs the only downside of Libby. Sometimes thereâs longer waits. And the 3 week limit before renewing. Otherwise itâs great.
Iâm a big Haikyu fan and Iâll have to check out Kaiju soon!
Cleannn
Appreciate you!
They will never ask for the global entry card unless traveling by land... It is stated in cbp webpage when enrolling into the program.
Makes sense now that they just check boarding pass. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Loving your mic stand
Hahaha thank you! I try to read all the books before putting them on a stack. Works great for the DIY setup!
Whatâs the brand on that Apple Pencil holder attached to your iPad case? Is that magnetic?
ProCase!
Itâs hard to find a sling bag that isnât super heavy from all the ballistic materials being used with most manufacturers. Anyone have recommendations of well build slings that arenât heavy empty?
Drop them here! I can only speak to the Columbia one that I got (which i loveâŠbut donât know the specifics on)
Great setup! Nice and simple đ
Also, that's crazy that chewing gum is banned in Singapore (I had to look it up after watching your video đ€Ż)
Isnât it wild? I was shocked too when I first heard that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
When I fly domestically within the US I take my passport card because it serves as a backup ID in case I lose my driverâs license. It is also Real ID compliant FYI.
Good idea, always good to have backups when travelingđ
Have you got a link to the Travel Packet..?
Sadly I donât :/ I just got it on a whim in Japan!
Bro the editing is crazy, definitely earned yourself a new sub. Great vid!
Thank you and welcome aboard! Caleb is the đ editor
Whats the name of the sling bag, and where can it be bought?
I bought this Columbia sling bag in a mall in Osaka, Japan. Sadly I donât know the specific name, but Iâd imagine you can find this one or similar ones (Eddie Bauer, North Face, etc) online.
Iâm sorry I canât be of more help!!
We didn't even get a TSA precheck card just and email with the number to enter when getting our tickets
Interesting!! I guess it makes sense since they won't even let you in without the PreCheck emblem on your boarding pass. No need for me to bring the card.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I didn't get one either. I mainly fly Southwest and I added my number to my profile and it gets auto-added to my ticket.
The Global Entry card is not used for air travel but instead, is used for land travel when you drive across the border. You canât even use the card at the airport; only a physical passport.
Interesting!! That makes sense now. Thanks for this comment and for watching!
Thatâs entirely untrue.
@@cornellcornell1 I literally just returned from Paris on Sunday and attempted to use the card again and was met with the same result as I previously stated. Read the details that came with the card and it states the same, but if you have had another experience, how about providing details beyond stating that someone else is wrong.
@@Maqlover The global entry card is a valid form of federal Real ID in the US. You wouldn't be able to use it abroad as a valid form of ID as you stated, but you can within the US. www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification
Global Entry is used for air travel but they no longer ask to see the card. They use facial recognition. I used it crossing the border from Mexico when I lived in Juarez for five years but Iâm told CBP no longer asks to see the card. (Someone told me that, I canât confirm - last time I crossed over in 2021, weeks Iâll had to show the card). That said, I always have it with me when I travel internationally.
Flying out of YVR in Vancouver back to the US if you show your global entry card they will put you on their fast track going through security.
Thatâs big! Iâll keep bringing it just in case.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@NateGillinMedia I've also flown out of YVR without my global entry card and asked the check-in agent nicely if I could use fast track since I have global entry but do not have my card with me today, and she put a sticker on my paper boarding pass and it got me in! I don't know if this works at any Canadian airport where you clear US customs before flying out, but we've done it several times at YVR.
Pretty awesome how that works! I will have to try it. Safe (and fast-tracked) travels ahead!
The sling bag is from Columbia but what is the model name?
I wish I knewâŠIâm sorry I donât! Just got it at a mall in Japan.
where u keep ur gat bro
đ đ I guess youâll have to watch the video to find outâŠ
Whatâs the deal w/ Singapore chewing gum tho?
Isnât it interesting? From what Iâve heard from friends whoâve visited, itâs (one of) the cleanest places in the world.
Having stepped on gum quite a few timesđ I get where theyâre coming from with this measure, but itâs wayyy extreme.
Thanks for watching and commenting! And donât pack any gym when you visit there :)
Book and journal is useless as you have an iPad you can do all of those things on the iPad, free up space leave those at home
Maybe soâŠbut Iâm a sucker for hard copies and physical writing/notetakingđ. Thanks for watching and commenting! You a big ebook guy?
There is no way you pay for a TSA membership. You're paying $70 (I don't care if that covers you for 5 years) for a made up subscription business to go through lines. Also, you're giving TSA money. That alone should be a crime. That is absolutely fucking bonkers. Lol.
Itâs absolutely worth it.

Dont wear slings
They certainly aren't for everyone; the contents inside could be useful though!
