- During this livestream I leveled a Guardian Druid from 10-70 in the new MoP Remix event. Since this was my second character, I started the run with +100% Experience Gain on my cloak.

Since I'm getting a lot of comments along the lines of "Wow, he sure complains a lot!", I just want to pop back in and say that I completely stand by everything I said in this video and I would gladly rant about it again. The mode is inherently flawed, and I think all of my criticisms are perfectly justified. We should expect better from a AAA developer. If you listened to me complain in this video and felt I was being unfair to Blizzard, you probably lack the ability to think critically and quite honestly I don't give a shit if you watch my videos or not. To be clear, if you're enjoying the mode and having fun, that's totally cool, I'm happy for you. But I think we should all be able to agree that just because we enjoy something doesn't mean we sacrifice the right to criticize it in an attempt to improve it, ESPECIALLY when it's something we're paying money for. Your time and your opinions are valuable, don't be a sheep, don't be a bootlicker, don't be afraid to voice your opinions even if you get flak for it.

Bit of trivia since it was mentioned: "meta" meaning "most effective tactic available" is a backronym that was created long after the term was coined. "Meta" is just a prefix that means self-referential or literally "beyond"; thinking about thinking is metacognition, commentary about commentary is metacommentary, and so on.
The origin is from metagaming where, in addition to literally playing a game, you are also taking into account external factors, strategising, and streamlining. Like how in Poker and Chess, you commonly hear, "you don't (just) play the game, you play the player" (or more verbose variations); that is an example of metagaming.
Come on people Backlash, thumbs up 👍 if you want to join the Backlash and force a change for Blizzard to make the cloak share across the alts at least experience wise. Backlash!
I’m level 50 with 247% but I’ve done every raid boss - another 12% from each throne of Thunder boss (144%) you can get the 300+% which is nice but sucks alts don’t get that
How do we get rings and trinkets? I watched a video where they said something about completing achievements will grant rings trinkets etc.

do we know how much exp bonus an alt gets once when we collect 4.2k threads for the final achievement? sorry if annoying question, cant find where u spoke about it.

Was the screenshot from blizzard a fresh toon showing that 300%?
They showed a screenshot of a cloak at 324% directly next to a paragraph discussing the achievement which grants power to alt cloaks. The implication is clear.
@@Harldan1 ohh okay, ya didn’t know if they would be like showing a level 55 alts cape that did all the raids so “technically” an alt with that % or whatever..hopefully they do something I just want to level a million alts lol
I think they’ll slowly remove the limits on cloak transferability as time goes on, if I was planning a 3 month event, the last thing I’d want is people to blow through it in the first week
Unlikely. They already clearly stated that this design is completely intentional. The only way they'll change things is due to community backlash, which is slowly starting to happen.
Also, I fundamentally disagree about "not wanting people to blow through it in the first week". Timegating is dogshit design. Whether someone blows through it in the first or last week, it shouldn't matter. If the content is fun and the player's time is being rewarded, they'll want to play it regardless. Blizzard needs to shake their neverending stigma of nerfing fun and then only buffing it at the last second, and yet they continue to play into it at every possible opportunity. Instead of seeming generous when they buff things towards the end, they just look embarrassingly predictable, and then everyone knows that the best way to play WoW is to avoid the launch and come back later.
@@Harldan1 my bad, I was unaware they stated this was fully intentional, now it kind of just seems like false advertisement to boost sub numbers, I was kind of using that theory to cope with the disappointment of it all as I think it’s such a cool concept for a game mode.

To be honest, there is literally no problem with transferring main cloak stats to new alts at least the experience part because there is no other point in continuing to get experience threads after meeting the criteria for the 100%. So they just need to change it from that to sharing account wide.
i took me 8h to be lvl 32 what im doing wrong xD
inefficient route, and you aren't on your second character yet (this is an alt which starts with +100% exp). Still Harldan's first character took 11 hours to get to 70 with fucking around.
It really is the difference between knowing the efficient and inefficient quests.
idk it took me 9 hours when i didnt have my 100% boost like i now do on alts. on alts now takes me no more than 8 hours to get from 10-70
You can buy a trinket on your alts
The garrosh looms are the only thing worth playing and using the currency for. Unless I’ve missed something else that they have removed from the game that you can’t get in regular retail.
hopefully they tuned the gacha elements of gearing for the next timerunning. Also hopefully its not cata.. also 1:29:42 AMEN!! gimme those darn looms
seems they fixed the exp buff on the cloak, I got mine up to 130% and I am only lvl43 !! I did a normal raid run, and got 12% buff per boss ! seems the normal raids are very good to get more xp buffs
The drop chance of XP threads is still heavily gated, the ones from raids are completely separate.
i would describe this event as a decent but obviously flawed first draft, carried by how insanely good the mists leveling experience is, that got pushed to live servers well before it was in a serviceable state. they should probably stop launching these things on weekends and then leaving them mostly dysfunctional for several days if they're going to do this annoying 'patch it as we go' approach to quality control
(i'm in australia so it launched 'on the weekend' to me. a thursday afternoon launch means they need to get through mountains of feedback and ship any changes in a single day, so no wonder they couldn't achieve more than fixing *some* of the many things one-shotting players.)
Most of the feedback is regarding problems that were already present in their PTR test last month, so unfortunately that doesn't really hold up
I dont know man, so many spells in there, i get Like 30 spells and I only use 2-3 of those because they all share the same cast cooldown
