Zander is such a sweet boy- he certainly loves the animals! Blessing to you all!
Your son is so gentle and loving to animals, it makes my heart happy to see him interacting with them.
He loves them, but lately I have to work a bit harder on him not to torment the cat or puppy. He's gentle mostly then now and then his 3 year old self forgets. But I hate cruelty to animals, and I think they need to learn at a young age to be gentle and kind.
As I’m sitting here this morning feeling a little melancholy after hearing the morning news, I watched your video and there’s your precious little guy - so joyous and happy! Delighting in the goats and chickens and dogs...not a worry in the world! No sadness or concerns, no heaviness of heart for sicknesses what all is happening around us. I’m just so taken by the words of our Lord where He tells us we are to be as HIS little children. If we could all just have that peace and joy of child, how wonderful that would be.
I stopped watching the news about 3 years ago. I don't have a TV anymore, so I have only a cursory knowledge of what's going on. I try to avoid as much of the world as possible. Life is so much better now. :) I know that the world will only get worse, not better, because the Bible tells me so. And I know it won't get better until the Lord Jesus Christ returns. In the meantime, we can have peace and joy as we look to Him. We don't have to know every headline, every world event, but we only need to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and then we can proclaim His Gospel to the world. There is peace and joy in our hearts, and we take that peace and joy with us wherever we go.
Carol Berubee Thank you Carol. Yes, I know what you are saying. I do not dwell on the news either. I do catch some of the happenings that happen to be going on around us, but I refuse to let my husband sit here with the major news 24/7 channels on. I tell him he’s heard the news, it’s time to turn it off! And I do know that Christ is the answer. I honestly can’t imagine how people can live without being able to go to Him with their cares and concerns.

When I was a kid (on a farm) the roaster would chase me all the way back to the house from the barn. One day my dad was at the barn with me. When the old roaster flew at me with his spurs out. My dad caught it in mid air and with one spin of his head that was the end of that mean roaster.

Love your little farm. Also we had a small pygmy goat farm and best way to tame them is to hand feed them . They will learn real quick that u have feed then they'll come right to ya .

I am so jealous right now. I used to have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He was so timid but I loved him so much. I had him for several years and ended up having to put him down. He had developed cancer and every time he walked across the floor he would have messy accidents. That is no way for him to live and when I knew the pain was to much for him, I made the decision to have him put down. When they distance themselves from you and have such sad eyes, that spoke volumes to me. I miss him every day. Nothing can replace him.
Your little puppy is so sweet. Zander will love her and it will be instantly. They are such a gentle breed of dog. Enjoy all your new additions to,your family.

Such a cute video!! Love how Xander Loves All animals,when he was giving kisses to the goats my heart melted ! When you had talked about the rooster that was mean,well last Sunday my Sister-in-law was outside when her rooster was out and he attacked her ,he really hurt her knee area,he broke the skin and left three pretty deep marks and she cleaned them up ,but was having pain and swelling over night so she went to the ER because i the area was fevering,so she went and they took x- rays and said if she wasn't better the next day to call the orthopedic doctor,well they gave her antibiotics and a pain pill ,well needless to say it wasn't better so she got to see a specialist and he checked her blood in case of infection in her blood,and that came back negative and that she didn't need it drained or any surgery,but it was a deep tissue wound so she has to keep an I on it and prop it up when it starts to swell and ice it. She said yesterday that it was still pretty painful ,and she has to ice it about three times a day. But get this... Some animal got a hold of that rooster that next night and killed it? Karma you could say?? Crazy ! So glad you got rid of your rooster. I hope all of the new animals get along ok ! Xander with his new cute as a button bubbles. Did he ever say any more about coco? Sorry I wrote a book again! Hope and pray you guys have a safe weekend!! Hugs from Ephrata!

yes, they have one. You can see it in our chicken shed build. It's a three sided run in on the back of the coop.
Your little boy is so cute. He has a strong love for animals. I love your goats, they’re very cute. We used to have alpacas on our farm. We loved them as they’re very intelligent and love to be snuggled.

the Mennonite Mom ours only spat at predators. They would come up to us and put their heads on our shoulders and snuggle. The leader of the herd would get cranky if he didn’t get his turn to snuggle and he would put his head back as if he were about to spit and I would put my finger up and tell him no. He would stop immediately and come over for his snuggle. They hate to be petted on the head, but love neck rubs.

I wanted to get some Portland cement and sand yesterday, but I wasn't quite sure I had the strength to lift them. I used to be stronger, but as I age I notice I have trouble doing things like that.

I really enjoyed this video. It was nice for a city girl to see a glimpse into farm life. I was going to head to Lancaster, P.A. in early June for my family vacation and for ancestry record/educational purposes this year and stay in a farm house, but we ended up postponing that for a later date. I'd enjoy seeing more farm life videos.

I was going to add we used to have goats and they were on about 3 acres. They preferred to eat from the trees and bushes so all of my wild rose bushes would be bare, as well as mimosa trees. They would strip everything down to the bark and I was then told that if we really wanted the grass to be eaten we should have gotten sheep, lol. But we did have the goats for 10 years until we moved and they were fun.
