Bryan reacts to and talks about his thoughts on Wheel - Wheel (Moving Backwards) ORIGINAL VIDEO: • Wheel - Wheel Patreon: www.patreon.com/criticalreactions Twitter: critreactions
Anyone notice how at 7:43 just before he sang "as shadows start to fall" Bryan's room became darker (probably from the sunlight outside.) - Gave me a good chill. I am sucker for shit like that. Anyhowzer I LOVE WHEEL!
The Resident Human album is MASSIVE as well. And the 2 EP’s (now available on one album) are like a fine wine and I HATE wine but I couldn’t think of another analogy 😆
“They’re more about the emotive response instead of the storytelling”. Now I know why I am drawn so much to bands like Tool and Wheel. Thank you for that 🫵🤘
James is soooo damn good at song structuring. Their new album Charismatic Leaders is phenomenal. Djent meets Tool meets Opeth meets Karnivool. The production is MASSIVE as well. Please do yourself a favor and listen to it. Sooooo damn good
It's funny that you posted a Wheel reaction now. I'm going to see them live in 2 weeks as they are supporting Apocalyptica. They sound interesting. Definately a strong Tool vibe.
I really appreciate your work going through all these different styles. Great channel. This band reminds me that there's no Karnivool pieces at all in your channel. Sound Awake is one of the best prog albums of this century, songs like New Day, Change or Deadman are a next level of composition compared to Wheel, which I think is a band created from their footprints.
WHEEL are amazing! You should really check out Karnivool if you liked these. Or at least let me know they are on your list, to stop me pestering you haha.
CRITICAL REACTIONS- Please check out Wheel’s 2 EP’s (The Path & The Divide). The Tool vibe was the path that led me to this awesome group but it’s all of the other dynamics (Wheel specific) that have me obsessed and picking apart their short catalog.
First heard of these guys YESTERDAY because Vultures was on spotify's Ultimate Metal playlist, loved it and was excited to hear more from them. If you like tribal off-time drumming, listen to Africa by Quartered. When you ask Meg White to play in something besides 2/2 time: "time has lost all meaning here. I cannot find the downbeat."
I you haven't heard these songs before check out: Skyharbor - Guiding Lights (one of my favorites) czcams.com/video/9CeizYLcdu4/video.html Cult of Luna- Lights on the Hill Between the Buried and Me- Swim to the Moon
Of course! The metal community has really latched on to this channel but I'm open for anything. I've reacted to pop, pop rock, and even Drum Corps before -- I just don't usually get those requests.

probably the best concert i've been to
i can't tell how amazing these guys are
and hey
you know
without tool, there is no wheel ;)
I just got onto these guys. Soooo good. As a long time Karnivool and Tool fan - this ticks all my boxes

@@danielwade1978 100 percent! I love the early stuff too. Have checked out 😌

Thanks for reacting, big smile on my face when I seen this!

Such an amazing band. I'm glad people are finally starting to take notice. You should check out "The Path" and "Dissipating".

Definitely a very similar sound to Tool. A band that was always underrated but not warranted is Textures. You should react to Singularity.
I'm very happy that someone did this. Cause man Wheel.. it is soooooooooooooooo good. And they are just beginning
just a reminder: the whole song is in 7/4 - and it drives me mad
Amazing band and Resident Human is sooooooo good.
WHEEL are amazing! You should really check out Karnivool if you liked these. Or at least let me know they are on your list, to stop me pestering you haha.
Yup, Karnivool is on the request list with 3 or 4 separate requests I believe.
Wheel - Vultures
Tool - Vicarious

I wasn't aware they had a new album. I'll certainly have to give them another listen.
My suggestions :
Igorrr - Opus Brain
Corpo Mente - Ort
Awesome video as always :)
You guys think naming the band 'Wheel' was a reference to the band name 'Tool'? I do.
Yup! Great band who just released their great second album. Had me go here through a search 😊
I need to get them back on the channel then if they dropped a new album.
@@CriticalReactions I'd start with Dissipating (the first track on the new album). The final few minutes are insane

Very first thought when I head these guys a few months ago was.. TOOL... Not a bad thing
I heard they had new material out and need to check it out. Thanks for the reminder!
I've been spamming Martin Mendez email about them so Mikael me and James do something together possibly down the line
Could you try out Animals as leaders - CAFO?
I you haven't heard these songs before check out:
Skyharbor - Guiding Lights (one of my favorites) czcams.com/video/9CeizYLcdu4/video.html
Cult of Luna- Lights on the Hill
Between the Buried and Me- Swim to the Moon
sounds almost exactly like Tool. It was really good. More Wheel yo.
These guys are great. Soen is another one with a similar vibe and both are heavily influenced by Tool.
You're right. Try the Danish band Boil as well (sadly, they don't exist any more)czcams.com/video/NcuiNECc6_Q/video.html
New Wheel song dropped this week! czcams.com/video/bGNTUS43ZBA/video.html
Ticks and leaches
More Wheel reactions.. this ain't the best song from em, not even close .. Finland says Hi btw!
It's like linkin park and thank you scientist had a baby.
Are you also interested in reacting to electronic music?
Of course! The metal community has really latched on to this channel but I'm open for anything. I've reacted to pop, pop rock, and even Drum Corps before -- I just don't usually get those requests.
Critical Reactions Then my request would be DJ Hidden - Anathema
Seth Rollins needs to clean his room
