Contrary to popular belief, beings who are not immortal (which would include Dearves, Men, and Hobbits) don't age slowly in valinor. In fact, the stress of living with beings who don't need to eat or sleep, can put additional stress on the body. Although this would not manifest as pain or suffering, it could cause premature aging.
If Frodo did not prematurely age, he probably lived long enough to see Sam again (Bilbo was about 130 when he sailed west). If he did age prematurely, he may not have seen Sam until they met in the Halls of Mandos.

      That's my understanding also.

But we don’t know if time passes in Valinor the same way it passes in Middle-earth. Considering their separation, it could very well be that many years in Middle-earth are only a few years in Valinor. Time may not have enabled Frodo to age before Sam got there, if ever.

@@12classics39by that reasoning 10,000 years could have passed in valinor and only 2 in middle earth

@@godlygamer911 Well 1 year for Elves is said to be 144 human years, in the appendices. Plus since Elves live forever that's another reason why time likely felt slower in Valinor. Remember in Lothlorien the hobbits felt like no time is passing at all.

The Sackville-Bagginses would’ve headed to Valinor just to yell at Bilbo for not giving them Bag-End earlier, no matter the terrain or danger, they would’ve made sure they’d get the house no matter what

I go with the interpretation you give of an extended life and healing allowing Frodo to surrender his life in peace when he is ready.
The image of the undying lands making him burn up his life quickly doesn’t make the journey to Aman seem like a gift, more a curse. We also have precedent of extended life and choosing to lay it down with Numenor. I get it is due to something different but it is a gift from the gods/God.
That seems more like what I think the text points to in the extending of this privilege (sailing into the West) to Bilbo and Frodo.

Yeah agreed, it’s not 100% certain but I think this was the intention, makes the most sense, and is what I personally lean towards and would like to imagine happened

I don't think Frodo would have been alive. Tolkien mentioned somewhere that Valinor accelerates the death of non-elves. Frodo was literally sailing into death when he left the Grey Havens.

After Gollum died at Mount Doom, the spirit of Smeagol must have gone to the Halls of Mandos. I wonder if Frodo, Bilbo and eventually Sam ever had a chance to reconcile with Smeagol.

Smeagol was a hobbit of sorts, and related to the race of men, who do NOT go to the halls of Mandos when they die. The Valar themselves know not what happens to men when they die, that is for Illuvatar only to know truly. So no.

@@gloredonMen - and thus likely hobbits too since they’re related to Men - do come to the Halls of Mandos immediately after death, but dwell there briefly before leaving the circles of Arda. We see this when Beren arrives in the Halls after his first death and refuses to leave Arda yet, knowing Lúthien is coming for him.
