‘Highway Heroes’ Rescue Driver Trapped Inside Fiery Car

- Good Samaritans are being hailed as heroes after putting their lives on the line to get a trapped driver out of his blazing SUV. The incident happened on an interstate outside St. Paul, Minnesota. People stopped their vehicles and raced to help the driver trapped inside the fiery SUV. Astonishingly, the driver was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. Now, the driver and plenty of other people are hailing those good samaritans as “highway heroes.”
That blonde girl was by far the bravest hero, girl ate a fireball and kept helping without being phased. God bless her!

From first hand experience I can say this is true.
Unfortunately even with a few trying to help.

Amazingly that piece of wreckage metal didn't crack it. I keep one of those window breakers in my car console. Also has a cutter blade for the seat belt. Only a few bucks.

I'd love to know what the highway worker used to break the window. I also have one of the hammer type window breakers, but they do not work on newer cars with laminated windows, only on older cars/trucks with tempered windows. But, it looks like the way that window blew apart, it was probably a tempered window, thank God. If it had been a laminated window, I'm afraid they would not have been able to save him.
@@Jsfrog He used a small spring-loaded glass breaker (do a search for that and you'll find the tool or similar ones). They carry them on their keychains on the service patrol trucks.
Everyone should have that tool.

Thank GOD they were rescued. I heard of a similar story where unfortunately ppl weren't able to help the driver, a 16 year old kid. The flames got too big and they all had to back up and literally watch a 16 year old burn to death.

And what exactly she did besides not taking a step back? Because the ones who were trying to opening the doors, breaking the windows and pulling the body were all men.
That is what the USA is all about! That makes me very proud as an American. I have stopped to help others and animals that needed help and I'm only 5'1 short woman. That blonde girl was so brave!

The head rest in your car, can be used as a puncture device to shatter the glass - pull out your headrest and use the metal legs to strike the glass

Absolutely incredible. They all risked severe injury (and possibly death) to rescue a completely stranger. And they never gave up! Even with the fire burning so close, and then the fire ball. Just amazing! This is the type of news story we need to hear more of. Wonderful and inspiring. They all deserve medals. :)

Everyone involved is a hero. Thank God for them and thank God the driver is still alive. My son's car exploded on the way home from a vacation. The luggage rack flew off hirst and then the car started smoking. They were blessed by God to have gotten out alive
