He never said otherwise and what he is praised for is getting the best out of players, playing the way he wants, which is one of the most beautiful ever seen, winning A LOT and the fact that he keeps being creative and improving the game of football. Mohsin Khan, only Pep can play the Total Football system wherever he goes. Look at Barcelona after he left, their identity has completely gone. You can't even compare Pep's Barca to the other Barca's that came after it or even before it (except Cryuff's dream team). At Bayern Munich, they played exceptional football under Pep. Yes, he did not win the UCL, but that doesn't take away how dominant his Bayern team was. Look at what happened when he left. They are losing more games in the bundesliga. At City, he has completely changed the style and they are just so dominant. Look at the players he bought, most people were not keen on the likes of Bernardo Silva, Sane, Mendy and even Walker before Pep bought them. He bought young players and he is turning them into stars. Sterling has improved greatly under Pep's coaching. The thing that makes Pep great is the outstanding and dominant football that he implements on his teams as well as winning. If you think that any other manager can play Pep's brand of football even with a budget to purchase any player they want, then you are clearly delusional.
