Pixel 9 Pro XL actually beats samsung in real world hard use (including gaming). Check out a channel caled "in depth tech review" where he compares the pixel 9PXL vs iphone 15pm vs s24U. He does a teams screenshare, youtube pic in pic, navigation and gaming. Samsung dimmed displayed, had lower frames and then over heated while the pixel arguably performed the best.

Tbh, as someone who is debating on which of these phones to buy, the longer battery life, better raw performance, and all the other little things (S-Pen, Gorilla Glass) make the Pixel feel like it missed what it could've (and maybe should have) been. I've been expecting more in the camera department, and espeacially more in the Chip performance, for a 2024 Flagship.

I don't see the "cheaper price" anymore, after Google went for super bad pre-order discounts this year. I got my S24 ultra with 1TB for about 1300€ at release, a pixel 9 XL would cost me 1429€

For the price, pixel 9 pro isn't worth it. The chip is basically a slow exynos, it's gonna have overheating issues and bad battery a year or so after launch. Should be at least $200 cheaper

The pixel phones aren't as bright when the brightness is turned down lower. You really have to crank them up almost all the way to get super bright. On the galaxies you notice it getting quite a bit brighter about halfway up.

Although the pixel display may appear brighter on paper, in reality, the S24 Ultra display is still superior in terms of quality. I own both devices and can attest to this. However, it does seem dimmer than the S24's displays.
You're reviewing a phone you don't even have. Why trash on Google saying that "if you don't care about games..... this chip should deliver a pretty good optimize experience". In Depth Tech Reviews actually has the phone early and was able to confirm that while multitasking (gaming and streaming) the S24 Ultra had to stop because it was over heating while the iPhone and Pixel was still working.
Then you should also wait? How you can believe on one you tuber. On paper frequency of 8 gen 3 and manufacturing process is better than tensor.. also he was saying from previous experience of pixel frame drops in big games.
Anyway, the S24U is better than the Pixel 9 Pro XL in everything, but in terms of zoom, the S24U wins, but in terms of nighttime video, the Pixel 9 has noise... but I don't find the Pixel's AI interesting at all. You haven't compared them neck to neck. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with S-Pen which is very unique and useful.
As an S24U owner, I can count on one hand how many times I've used the S-Pen. It's as much of a gimmick as most AI features.

1:05 it’s kind of misleading to compare $1299 from the S24 ultra at 256gb vs $1000 from the Pixel 9 pro at 128gb
When they offers 7 years major update....then the chip must be powerful like snapdragon 8gen3
For the price, pixel 9 pro isn't worth it. The chip is basically a slow exynos, it's gonna have overheating issues and bad battery a year or so after launch. Should be at least $200 cheaper
The pixel might be beautiful but Samsung beats it all round, there are more things to fix in the camera department than adding AI
Couldn’t care less about AI. When it comes to the camera, all I want is a more accurate reproduction of what my eyes see compared to the last generation.
The problem with smartphones now is not the performance but the battery getting pregnant after 1 year. Even cheap phones have good spec now, No phone company care to invest in battery development
Phone manufacturers do not want to invest too much in the battery department. Sales will decline if they release a battery chad phone. At the end of the day, it is all about the sales.
But what happens to the pixel lineup when you have to pay a subscription fee to use all of the AI features? Specifically all of the AI based camera improvements

I'm trying to choose between the Galaxy S24 and Pixel 9 for my father. He needs a compact phone with good battery life that’s fast and doesn’t lag. He mainly uses it for calling, WhatsApp, and email. He also has a lot of contacts, and his WhatsApp tends to lag because of this, so I want to make sure that won’t happen with the new phone. Which one would you recommend?

The pixel phones aren't as bright when the brightness is turned down lower. You really have to crank them up almost all the way to get super bright. On the galaxies you notice it getting quite a bit brighter about halfway up.

G4 Tensor is based on Samsungs Exynos, it doesnt come even close to Snapdragon. Try rendering a video, see how long it takes. Try screenshare on TV and play an Xbox cloud, haha, wont happen on Pixel. S24 Ultra is a phone, computer and gaming console all in one

In "in depth tech reviews" wgen he compared both phones we saw the s24 struggling with gaming and the pixel wasn't. Samsung is clearly sleeping even with the snapdragon far ahead of the tensor g4.
A brighter screen doesn't change the disparity in screen resolution. S24 Ultra has a huge advantage in screen.

Although the pixel display may appear brighter on paper, in reality, the S24 Ultra display is still superior in terms of quality. I own both devices and can attest to this. However, it does seem dimmer than the S24's displays.
You're reviewing a phone you don't even have. Why trash on Google saying that "if you don't care about games..... this chip should deliver a pretty good optimize experience". In Depth Tech Reviews actually has the phone early and was able to confirm that while multitasking (gaming and streaming) the S24 Ultra had to stop because it was over heating while the iPhone and Pixel was still working.
Then you should also wait? How you can believe on one you tuber. On paper frequency of 8 gen 3 and manufacturing process is better than tensor.. also he was saying from previous experience of pixel frame drops in big games.

It would be good to remember that the S24 Ultra comes with 256G in UFS 4.0 and not 128G in UFS 3.1, But above all, the S24 Ultra has a processor that is 2 years ahead of the Tensor G4 and currently does not cost $1300, but $1000-$1100.

Check them out if you're going to talk about it...not just dream read the specs from the manufacturers.
