    Maybe you won't have any problems with expansion, as the front & back boards being screwed in.

    Recon you messed up the distance between woofer and tweeter. Overlap ?

      Speakers drivers are often designed to overlap on purpose. Depending on the crossover frequency, you would need to bring the acoustical centers of the woofer and tweeter closer together.

      Thanks. I had not seen that in 55 years of Hi Fi and making many Speaker Systems. I have seen alighnment of voice coils front to back only.

      @@MelodyMan69 front to back is common yes, but center to center is to help align phase as well. The distance between centers should be less than the wavelength at the crossover for optimal phase alignment as I understand it. I've seen dynaudio speakers use this, some kits like the C-note, etc.
