Kirby Meets Audio Heyy!!đ

I WISH IF I COULD AFFORD YOUR PLAN KITS SOME DAY âșđą
but anyways
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! đâ
Kirby Meets Audio grande ottimo lavoro
Does it come with everything
Il.problema Ăš che non costano 10 dollari come descrivi, ma 100.
Con 100 dollari trovo di meglio.
Where have ??
And now you have sawdust in the back of the speaker lol, great build, quick tip when covering with vinyl cut your sides on the 45 and pre adhere the vinyl to the surface overlapping 3-4mm round to edge to be glued that way the vinyl doesn't shrink away from edges over time and doesn't snag and catch at the join, then hit it with a hairdryer to give the adhesive back a decent hold on what seems to be untreated mdf. Keep the vids coming you've got great talent.
Oh Heck Yeah Man! Ive watched you build a number of speakers, but this is the first project that i feel like i need to take on. This looks like a fun one to put together, right up my alley!
Thank you for taking the time to show how you used the precision of your tools and your cabinet making tips.
Fantastic work! They look amazing
Very cool! Love the skeleton gloves! Great video and fantastic build.
Haha Thanks for noticing! Little late for Halloween, but oh well! Thanks for watching!
Very nice. I like the covering for it too. This was my first speaker build about a month ago. Just went with spray paint for the finish. Couple coats of primer with 4 coats of black. I screwed up though and was in a hurry to finish. On the last few coats of paint I got sawdust in the finish. Instead of sanding and repainting I just leaned into it and added little bit more sawdust then painted. Had a dimpled look that I've come around to. I think for the next one I build I'll do that from start to get a more of an effect.
Thanks for the build video and links.
I ordered the kit today and it should arrive in about 2 days.
I have a Mitsubishi DA-F20 tuner I'll be using them with in my basement work shop.
They should keep the tunes flowing during my up-coming winter projects.
Made a pair of C-notes a month ago, now I'm in the process of making another pair as a gift; they are really great speakers.
Awesome! They are crazy good value for the money and sound great. Thanks for watching!
So relaxing! Love it!
you have some seriouis skills man! Very nice, better quality than most off the shelf speakers I've seen.
Maravilhoso trabalho.
tbh, you had me up to the contact paper exterior covering...but that's just a option. I may try this! looks fun.
The speakers look amazing. Your video production is outstanding, I feel very relaxed when I watch your videos. Keep them coming. Thanks,
Awesome build!
Nice job. I like your technique for applying the vinyl.
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho curtir bastante
Great build. My only comment would be to build the crossover with one of the perforated boards that Parts Express sells. This makes the crossover smaller and neater.
Test it out!! Solid build!
Love your work
Dear KMA: thanks for having free DIY plans in your web site. If you would like an intern for a couple of mounths I would gladly go to the USA and work with you!! hehe!! Thanks a bunch and keep up the awesome work!
Re-watching this video using my new C-Note speakers.
Props to Kirby for some cool scenes and tunes to make them sing to.
These speakers are honestly one of the best ways, I can think of to spend $100. To buy separately they're $230 from Parts Express and you'd still have to build a cabinet.
I set mine 6 ft apart and stood 6 ft away, only using a 2024+ amp and I am blown away by how good these things sound.
These are reference quality in my little audio world. The amp is maxed out and the input is at 85%. Bass set to full and treble at 70%
I put in an extra capacitor from the tweeter, as you can read in their forums. No idea if it did anything, don't care, these things sound fantastic.
Mine are finished in Carnival Orange. What can I say, I like Orange.
Best $100 you'll ever spend.
Next is the proper amplifier, they've had a week of being broken in on the 2024+
5*
I love how you didn't go crazy with the glue. I've seen CZcamsrs go way overboard and then spend a bunch of time wiping and sanding all the extra off.
wrong
Awesome loved it
Very nice speakers, much faster then paint the box
I have been looking at these for some speakers for my studio!!!
Lindas...top.. Brasil
I like your awesome style!! GREAT VIDEOS Kirby!!! Greetings from Germany!!
Thanks so much for watching!
The perfekt speakers. Thank you so much for creating this awesome videos.
Greeting from denmark
Thanks for watching!
Excellent!
that crossover is sick
why no test at end
Amazing!!! beautifull!!! congradulations!!!
Very nice work. Maybe because they are small, it doesn't matter that much, but I would always use a minimum of 3/4" (.75" or 18mm) mdf.
Thats awesome!!!
Nice build, would love to build one of these for my study.
very very nice work !!
Very nice build! Makes me want to start building speakers again. Please keep doing these awesome videos! I am a new subscriber! I get a lot of inspiration from your videos and get a lot of building tips. One of the best channels on youtube for us who like to build speakers an are in to audio stuff.
Wow nice work manđ
Very very cool! I never actually knew people built their own speakers, but this is some top notch stuff!
Just wondering - how do you select components? Like how do you know which amp and which drivers would sound good together?
Amazing! I REALLY LIKED IT!
amazing job Kirby...from Russia with frendship
That's not bad at all man. I've used the same vinyl and it looks better than I predicted. Not a premium look, but certainly something that would pass as a budget speaker from a big name manufacturer. You're choosing some nice beefy looking amps too. If I wanted to improve it for cheap I'd look into some screws that have nicer looking heads. But even simple wood screws look good since it's black on black.
hey kirby have you attempted anytime to make a horn loaded high frequency box like a klipsch speaker and if you did or will do can you saw some tips or the process?
Good to see you try and show sth. different. I am already thinking sbout an excuse to build a similar pair of these myself :) maybe for the office or kitchen... Greetings from germany
Very nice build!
Thank you!
Very nice great video ty
I would have built a separate box for that amp and kept the internal volume of the box same
Looks good but how do they sound? Given it has access to a sub would your preference be to go light on the mid range and let the sub do its job?
Nice! You inspire me.
Thanks so much for watching!
, nice work
, nice job, very nice
, wow, there's gonna be a significant difference between the low end on the speaker with the amp module. that thing took up half the available air space inside the box. could you have made that speaker deeper ? should you have?
I think I would have made them both about 2 to 4 inches deeper because of the size of the plate amp
That satisfaction of hand build your own. Who's agreed.
Ravs Ajay - I rarely save money on my DIY projects, but the satisfaction of knowing every inch of the build more than pays for the extra. I take pride in knowing that a project works because of my knowledge and craftsmanship.
I'd rather build my own cabinets out of Euro Birch plywood and veneer them with some nice exotic hardwood.
This looks like a really cool project. How do they sound?
helpfull video
Fun project. I really like these builds from parts express, but Iâd rather buy a pre-made crossover. Iâm terrible wiring those things.
do you have a tut on on merging a 4 channel amp with aux as its main merging it with 1.bluetooth (with or without usb and tf card sockets) modules(5v) + 2. mic pre amp module with 3 sockets(12v) or 2wireless mic module with one socket(supposedly be built in). + rechargeable battery(12v)?..
Wow, amazing
Linda montagem, agora sĂł falta os testes!
Hi Kirby,
I really do enjoy how your Videos are made. I'm also very happy to see how far you came with your Page.
I'm currently building my Own Bluetooth Speaker. Do you have any advice on where to tune the Enclosure for Midbass drivers with an fs of around 90 Hz ? I'm looking for a little more Output, since the Drivers are so small, but do'nt wan't them to lose a lot of accuracy.
Keep up the good work !
Best regards from Germany
Relajante ver al sr kirby armar bocinas saludos
nice work
Hey man im looking to build relatively small but great sounding speakers for my new gaming desk setup. I want left/right front stage as well as center, and sub. They will be plugged into an m-audio m-track 2x2m audio interface thats plugged into my pc via usb.
Any recommendation on components? Plate amp, speakers, crossover parts, etc? I built your soundbar/sub combo and it was great.
Thanks in advance!
Perfection
Woooow nice
Will the wifi/bluetooth amp plate work in the overnight sensation kit?
Now that cool...wish i had the tools to make my own
ya esto es otro nivel jeje me animare Sabes que fue lo que te falto? que da el sonido envolvente? y mejor acĂșstica? EL RELLENO....
đ. These speaker builds are gorgeous!! Hoping to win this in your raffle this week :)
perfeito
Nice work
Nice
how does that wood vinyl do over time? Does it start peeling? Better than a veneer?
Nice, nice, very nice.
Man, I really enjoy watching your videos and I want to record my next build. You do such a nice job. How do you like the C-Notes? I like the set I built but of course I didn't add a built in amp.
You showed the Cross - over part of the build! Thank you so much! :D haha! Man I'm so grateful!
This is a rare case where he's building a kit off Parts Express. The crossover wiring diagram is readily available on their page for this particular kit. Check the link in the vid description.
Haha you're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Incredible video! loved the close ups! I bet it takes you so much longer to build this stuff when you gotta move the camera every 5 seconds đ
Great Videođ
àžȘàž§àžą àžàž° *-*
Did you had to make one speaker box larger to compensate for the volume displacement of the amplifier?
Those foam thingies, how do they affect the sound?
Super đđđ€đ đđ
How do you like the adhesive film? did it hold up?
Does the amp not compromise that speaker ?? .... Looks like it reduces the volume by close to 1/3 ????
I built this kit as well, I decided to primer and paint the set though and after seeing this I wish I had just used a sticker like you. However I used a perforated crossover board to build the crossover on and mounted that using standoffs and countersunk screws in the base of the speakers. I prefer this method for the clean looks however it is never really seen so is rather pointless, but there is another modification I made that is said to improve sound quality according to the C Note designer Chris Perez. In a few forum posts he mentioned that "adding a 0.22 uF capacitor in parallel with L2" nearly eliminates a "resonant peak" according to simulations. I don't really understand how this works but with a 99 cent capacitor from Parts Express you can theoretically improve the sound quality of the speakers so I added them. For those of you think about making your own set of C Note speakers here is the forum thread: techtalk.parts-express.com/forum/tech-talk-forum/1321397-c-note-mt-bookshelf-speaker-kit-pair-other-kits/page3
thank you, i like that knife.
Curious about the design: why the overlap with the tweeter and woofer? Why not separate them?
muy buen video , un excelente acabado , pero las medidas de las cajas
What dampening material was used in these? I notice that there is none included in the kit
Good stuffs
Thanks for watching!
any appreciable interference (noise) from the amplifier?
Very nice bro!! đđ»đ
Hey bro did u have to prep the wood with anything to make the vynl stick? What wood is it mdf?
you gained a subscriber
How many clamps and of what size would be the bare minimum needed for the C-Note kit?
Nice. Very good job. And this time everything is done correctly. Almost. Flat head screws do not fit.
Genial!!!!!
wow amazing work! ;)
I'm building speakers while watching this... That's passion!
Marius Loubeeka me too!!
Remember to hoover out all the sawdust before. This video doesnt show that but it's a key thing that must be done or you mess up your coils
Who did you use countersunk screws?
