bro, I’ve worked on films-75 miles each way is brutal
The guy who said it wasn't probably got paid a hell of lot more than the crew.
I drive that far every day one way for work. Yeah, it sucks but its your job.. if you don't like it, don't volunteer for it unless you can handle it.
@@mikexxxmilly exactly
Brutal😂🙄🙄 get a real job. Show you what brutal REALLY is!
Amazing how the producers can claim safety is their number one priority AFTER someone was killed because safety precautions weren’t followed.
They were followed just not this particular time. Dozen of shots were fired on the set, if what you say is true then everyone on the set would be dead.
@@abstractrevan6528 I think you must have misread my comment or something. Not sure. But maybe reread it and think about it??I really can’t tell what the confusion is but I’m pretty sure my comment doesn’t warrant your response. My comment is basically saying that safety was not their first priority. It’s not really very controversial. I don’t think anyone could claim safety was the top priority given the circumstances. It might have been a high priority but not as much a priority as time and money maybe. I’m not sure what your reasoning is that everyone would be dead if that were true. If you didn’t misread my comment, I guess then you might want to consider taking a class in logic maybe. 🤔 anyways, good luck.
@Tnijo O I didn't misread your comment, actually I believe you mis understood the whole safety is number one priority. Safety is number one priority in a lot of fields, military, construction, hiking etc. And loads of people die in those field or get hurt. I'm just saying it was a priority maybe it wasn't followed by the employees to perfection but it was a priority. And seriously...wth man what is it with you insulting me? "a class in logic" what the hell is that?
@@abstractrevan6528 your weird logic is insulting. I felt my response was warranted. You’re the one who got all weird about my comment saying that if it was true everyone would be dead. Wtf, yourself.

It's very simple, the people in charge of the guns must be held accountable.
Yeah and that's the armor Hannah Reed. I don't think she was the right person for the job and she was too young and too green. They should've hired her father Thell Reed.
@@Brook11223 yeah what a joke she only got the job cause of her dad, probably a lot more deserving and better people could of had that job
Yes "The people in charge of the gun should be held accountable" and each person who takes possession of the gun through the chain of custody are in charge of the gun while it's in their hands. So ultimately the person in charge of the gun is Alec Baldwin, but yes link in the chain bares responsibility.
@@ronaldjeffrey8712 I couldn't agree more.
@@Brook11223 according to her father she grew up with guns and should have been competent no matter what her age. Obviously, she was arrogant, foolish, and totally incompetent.
The fact that Baldwin was less than 2 feet away from Hutchins - really casts doubt on his claim that he didn't know she'd been shot 'til 45 minutes later.
Yeah. In his interview when he said he wondered if she fainted and then this idea that he didn’t go over to help her or figure out what had happened was just pure BS. He thinks he can just keep lying.
It wouldn't matter if he was 2 feet or 20 feet. He would feel the recoil.
@@factsmatter8667 As well as see blood flowing out her body
I've handled hundreds of revolvers.. Strange thing is.. None of them have ever misfired. EVER
They said theirs misfired several times in one day.
What they call a "misfire" is not close to what a misfire is. What they had is an unintended discharge. When you pull the trigger it's not accidental.
@@factsmatter8667 when it comes to firearms and a round leaves the muzzle of any weapon it is either by one of two forces intentional or negligent. Never accidental or unintentional.. under any circumstances if you did not pull the trigger and a round left that muzzle negligence is the only other cause.
And you don't know what a misfire is.
if safety had been your priority, then after the first shooting incident you'd make sure it wouldn't have repeated
…first shooting incident? Which one?
@@abstractrevan6528. About 3:00 minutes in on this video ….two accidental discharges…

i've driven 70 miles one way for work...and hated it. i cannot imagine working long hours and having to drive back and do it all again. I'd rather hire a van and sleep in it if it was a 21 day shoot which sounds like a very short time.
boohoo, they make good money and its for a relatively short period of time. Like you said, get a van, make a bed if its that hard. Be an adult.
apparently there were 70 members of Rust - but they only interviewed a few! Also, AB letter saying that the crew felt safe, was signed by about 20 - what about the 50 others? Why aren't they questioning the whole crew and stop selecting those that agree with your narrative?
Don't worry you'll see the others soon in a 6 part Netflix docu-series.
What are you talking about? The whole narrative is that rust was unsafe…and I beg to differ because camera crew said they left because they felt unsafe yet no mention of safety was every brought up when they left.
how are their safety concerns "patently false" if the cinematographer was shot dead on set?
George: did you think she was up for the job?
Alec: *shakes head no while saying 'i assumed she was'
Good catch, I wondered if any1 was as confused as I was. Sure was a vote of confidence. They actually called back the original guy, who pointed out that prop & armorer is twice the work. He already took another job though.

-Jeff Cooper-1987
yes correct these people running this shoot were like so many companies. they dont want to know or care about problems that come up. when people speak up they get ignored and excuses are made all the time. its all about saving a buck and rushing to save time. therefore mistakes and horrible errors are made. this is common today everywhere. its sickening. no quality anymore.
Where I work we outsource Quality Control management programs. It cost extra and definitely not mandatory. But it's important for what we build. Both for the customer and preventing complacency among workers.
Dude what? They know the problems that’s why they address it before people sign up, the people that signed up knew they weren’t getting housed in Santa Fe because of the budget and a lot of hard economics go into setting up that budget but more importantly it’s an independent film. And they weren’t getting ignored, no one mention safety as a concern that all got spun around when the accident happened. Because in reality camera crew picked the most busy day to walk off.
And that’s how these sets are, quick paced because yeah they got to save a buck the movies is barely going to make any off it back.
Alec Baldwin and the company are definitely liable for this.
The management team which encompasses Alec Baldwin will be held civilly responsible for this. The criminal responsibility lies in my opinion with Hannah Gutierrez Reed, possibly Dave halls and Mr.Kelly from PDQ arms in Santa Fe..
"Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target."
-Jeff Cooper-1987
It’s not that the production doesn’t care, they are given a specific amount of money to get the film made. They never advertised this as an easy job, everyone that signed on knew what they signed up for. The camera crew complaining was petty, and that’s why they walked off, this had nothing to do with safety.
Who the heck is doing the voiceover talking like this is a Disney documentary
Safety First.
'Safety is always the top priority of our film' when a DP was shot dead.
Sorry this is NOT any of the actors fault. The people in charge of the props are responsible for those guns period
The person holding the gun when it goes off is responsible. The people behind the scenes are an extra layer of insurance but ultimately Baldwin is the one literally holding the smoking gun.
Revolvers do NOT JUST GO OFF. Save this BS for people who know nothing about guns!
Agree Alec should rot in a jail cell.
This program is made to protect Alec Baldwin
I feel like the young girl is responsible here .
If the law of this country has any truth to it she will be held criminally responsible. Hannah Gutierrez reed possibly Dave halls and Mr Kelly from PDQ prop in Santa Fe will bear the brunt of the criminality in my opinion. The management which does contain Alec Baldwin in a sense will take a financial and civil hit.
There was no young girls on set..you mean the woman with the silly hair?

-Jeff Cooper-1987
I remember in the 90s he wasn't the "it" brother
backdraft was my favorite movie as a kid. So damn good.
I don’t understand how this happens - why would there be real bullets on this or any movie set?
That’s the real question, not why didn’t they check the guns.

-Jeff Cooper-1987
The girl in charge of the guns..it was her job to make it safe..yet she didnt do her job.and someone died!!arrest her already not alec..
There are several people at fault here including Baldwin.
Was she even there when this happened ? If not how could she have checked the gun?

-Jeff Cooper-1987
When Brandon Lee was shot on set the actor who shot him felt horrible. I don’t know how to feel about Alec. I mean he is an actor and when he was talking about the shooting he looked like he was faking emotions. Maybe not. Idk
I pray for her family and friends to heal this huge loss. 🙏
And the actor who accidentally shot Brandon wasn’t put at fault so why should Alec pay?
"Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not prepared to destroy."
-Jeff Cooper-1987
He won’t stop trying to blame HALYNA!
WTH?
Halyna is responsible for AB pointing a live weapon at HER?
Halyna “didn’t have time to chat” she was “about getting it done as quickly as possible”?
AB and Halyna “shared the belief the weapon was safe”?
She had EVERY right to believe the weapon was safe, AB failed.
He’s so vile, blaming EVERYONE and everything including the weapon.
I can’t believe he’s taking digs at Halyna EVERY opportunity.
He doesn’t “feel guilty” so his ridiculous wife needs to shut her mouth about “HIS PTSD”.
He’s such a spiteful, disrespectful and DANGEROUS “man” IMO.
Baldwin knows Hannah was 100% responsible because she loaded the gun with live rounds. That's how careless, stupid, and qualified she is.
…he never blames Halyna. He was just describing the scene. And I’d say 90 percent of people working in the industry have time to chat. Because those are some hardworking people, they’re hustlers man, they get on set and it’s time to go. And another thing to point out they have a small budget for this, and that ultimately means a small time frame but that’s common on these sets.
"Be sure of your target".
-Jeff Cooper-1987
7.3 million is the budget for catering for other movies .
Yeah this is an independent film, with 5 million. And majority of that goes to marketing, advertising, editing and employees.
I wonder if any of the accidental shootings resulted in anyone getting hurt
They didn't.
So the DA pressed charges against Alec for negligence
Possibly second degree murder I thought?
Stating the obvious, why would you use a real gun on set, you could record close ups bells and whistles at a different location if not another time too
Yes SSSs
Someone's playing a devils here. So, there was already a sign. The person they hired mishandled this job. It blames the actors and the members on the set. Safety is always number 1 priority. This tragedy shouldn't happen. Alec Baldwin needs to hire a good criminal lawyer and gun's expert. Sorry for the loss of Hanson. May rest in peace!
75 miles each way for hotels? What bs, they couldnt set up tents and showers there? Sleep is an essential part of living, its not a luxury,it keeps you sharp, it allows you to nake positive descision making at your best, it recovers your daily cell damage.if i was the armorer being the first on the st everyday and kadt to leave id skerp in the prois truck and demand foid was delivered to me everyday .as a part of my contract.

Its their choice if they want to pull over & rest
Exactly I worked on a farm, for grueling hours and slept in my car to get a head start the next morning. Life is brutal those who see this as wrong or uncommon are too comfortable and haven’t felt the rough edges of everyday life.
2:39 why does she talk with that broken voice?
It’s her 15 seconds of fame give her a brake.
That piece of chit Alec Baldwin flat out blamed Hana and Helayna in the interview... How come he is free to celebrate the holidays and go to some stupid gala and Helayna doesn't?
"Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target."
-Jeff Cooper-1987
so many red flags
the most infamous movie never finished
Such misleading vernacular in these videos. Anytime around leaves the muzzle of a weapon it happens by only one of two means and those are an intentional trigger pull or your negligence surrounding the weapon. There is no in between. There is no such thing as accidental discharges or accidental shooting. The word accident and firearm do not go together. There is no such thing as an accident when it comes to firearms safety.
9… Alec Baldwin- ABC CZcams videos… count ‘em 9…trying to wash this murder under the rug.
This is a 7 and half million dollar movie and most of these people seem abit out of touch with reality. What are the people like on a 100 million dollar budget? wow!
The cavalier attitude and political beliefs contributed a lot to their thoughts on gun safety in my opinion. If you look at everyone who was in charge of gun safety on set they all are trendy little hipsters and I would not trust them with a squirt gun.
5 million by many accounts, umm and it’s not here’s 5 million and throw in the air and watch it rain kind of 5 million. That’s typically a small budget. And it’s more noticeable that they are filming in a middle of nowhere spot.
Oh yes, those allegations were false. If ppl only knew the real incompetence, distain, & disgust the "producers" held those camera-ppl in. Why? They wanted a safe working environment? With like fake weapons & sleep?

Just think: If tubby and his camera crew didn't walk off the set, like a bunch of panzies, then maybe this terrible accident wouldn't have happened.
Not sure how that would have changed the fact that those in charge of firearm safety weren't taking their jobs seriously.
