I've only seen a few sceats and other saxon coins cropping up in detecting videos but this has really opened my eyes to just how diverse and beautiful early Saxon coins are. Delivered with great knowledge and authority and lovely illustrations, thanks.

Thanks Luke and Tony😃. The early Saxon coinage is my absolute favourite. I’ve been lucky enough to find six over the years and are in my opinion the most interesting coins I have.👍

I attended the London coin show ( near the British Muesem) last Sept.2023. I did not see any early Anglo-Saxon coins at all . The must be very rare!

I love The Early Anglo Saxon coins I've been slowly building a collection of them these past 12 months, I sometimes post them up at the end of my gardening video's the last 4 video's I've posted one or two Anglo Saxon coins at the end of each video, I also collect any other coins minted in the UK over these past 2200 years...

Why are the Anglo Saxons one better than the Vikings? Because they had Vii Kings. Cheers from Mercia

I would love to start a collection of sceattas, but I am not from the UK and they are hard to find here in the states. Any reputable UK vendors?

Unfortunately, early Anglo-Saxon coins of Britain tend to be very expensive with the gold pieces running in the thousands of dollars (U.S.) . I only own one Northumbria sceant made of copper minted in the 800s.I love to collect British coins but the Anglo-Saxon coins are just to expensive!
