Listening to this version of Wake me up, reading about Avicii's death, relating to the lyrics on a personal level, I feel so gutted. I wish I heard him earlier. I wish he heard this earlier. I wish he'd wake up wiser and older. Sometimes, life's tough even though it seems like you have the world by your side. Here's me, wanting to cry my heart out, but failing miserably to even summon a teardrop into my eyes. I feel this song, I feel every syllable of it, every rhythm, every pause... God bless his soul for giving us this wonderful piece of music.
Children singing, "So wake me up when it's all over, when I'm wiser and I'm older..." somehow gave me a little punch in the gut considering the things happening around the world right now.
