What a story, I never knew this history of Mike and his father. Beautiful to hear that the meeting some years ago re-ignited the spark within Mike, while he was reliving the good ol days of the 90's in the back of his mind. These videos ignite my personal spark more and more, and I'm happy to have returned to the hobby after a 20 year hiatus. One day I will also complete some 93/94 sets! Keep these stories coming Daniel, thank you for sharing!

wow, I remember watching the video with Mike's dad when you first posted it, but I totally forgot that Mike was in there too. years later i found the alpha hoarder channel - and only now i made the connection.
Awesome! I follow Mike's channel and he seems like a really great and down to earth guy. Happy to see him acquiring such a beautiful addition to his Horde!
I'm passionate about alpha too. But I'm more invested in 7th foils because of more scarcity over alpha rares in overall circulation! I'm almost done with a complete NM FOIL 7TH SET!

Quite a story to keep all the hoarded cards for having them. I get it, even though I usually only keep one of every card unless it's the special targets of my hoarding/collection ambitions... there I have several binders of. What can you do, it's a passion.
I recently subscribed to mike, just before you published this video series. He's got great stuff and insights!
I have that video saved and watch it often, the collection he had was very inspiring and kind of threw me in the old school hole!

All alternative investments driven by pop culture are speculative. The longer a collectible genre lasts, the less speculative it is. Out of collectible card games, Magic is less speculative cause it’s been around longer than the newer ones like Lorcana that haven’t proven themselves yet or have the collecting base.
Any other TCGs you would invest in?
Here I sit with my 5 Alpha commons, and dozen or so Betas. I really need to get rich with Crypto. 😅
I’d recommend against that 😂😅 Crypto treated me well a few times, but it’s not a reliable path to wealth in general, nor was it my main engine. I was worried after this conversation that the crypto part of the interview was over emphasized and would give people bad ideas 😬
daniel just be honest about mtglion. You actually went to visit him an his store and he made you meet up at a holiday inn walkway. The hell is going on with that guy?
