  • How do you manual on a mountain bike? What is a NINJA MTB manual machine? Does a manual trainer work?
    These are all of the questions I had in my quest to learn how to manual. Ever since watching my first @JeffKendallWeed video,,, I've been obsessed with learning how to manual like a pro. Will a manual machine help? Watch the video and find out.

    It's great to see a real rider learning rather than a pro telling me how easy it is. Fantastic progression in just one day. I may need to try this.

    Ill always Say manuals generally arnt so much about the "balance point" but more about the fear of falling backwards.

      I really think this Ninja Manual machine is going to unlock them for me.

      This is a the same design as Mtbhopper but more expensive and the ramps are the same too

    Glad it helped for you! I never found that manual machines worked for me. And i fell like its better to just learn in a parking lot because you are able to turn and move the bike around. But what matters is that you progressed!

      Thanks man. I get what you’re saying. This just gives me time to practice the basics. I definitely still need to get out and practice on the streets etc.

      I bought it, used it a couple times, and haven’t gotten back around to practicing. I’m going to start using it again. I really want to learn those manuals.

    Nobody will ever be able to manual like Jeff. We can all only hope to be second to that freak.

    Made one once. It was definitely useful! It helped me better understand positioning and how to sort of push the bike rather? Anyways. Helpful to an extent. Fun if u like all things bike related.

    Why did you go for music that sounds like the TUTUTUTU MAX VERSTAPPEN meme? Sounds horrible to me. I don't think music is needed for this video anyway.
    But on serious note, why not just go outside and practise manuals? Then the chain won't effect the manual. But Tilt Industires that has a manual machine that doubles as a repair stand, and you can get a plastic thing that goes on the chain ring so the cranks can rotate without takin the chain off. being able to move the crank forward and forward helps to correct the position.

  • @Iggy52
    @Iggy52 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Why spend time on manual machine when you have such quality road right in front of your house? You don't need manual machine at all. Manuals are all about time investment. If you practice 15min a day, you will learn it GOOD in 4-6 months. Chech my (only) video on here 😊

    • @JaredHoff
      @JaredHoff  Před 5 měsíci +2

      I get what you’re saying 👍 However, when you’re a dad of four kids, work a full time job and live in a place laced with that snows like crazy in the winter… a manual machine is a great way to practice the skill.

    $200 for 3 pieces of wood and a zip tie to hold your back wheel??? how to waste money in 2023

    • @JaredHoff
      @JaredHoff  Před 7 měsíci +4

      We spend so much on mountain bikes, BUT not enough on riding skills (in my humble opinion). I’m really glad I got this. Spent that much, so now I have to learn how to manual.
      But I get what your saying 👍

    • @Iggy52
      @Iggy52 Před 19 hodinami

      @@JaredHoffAnd yet you don't practice on it...or outside. You will never learn it this way so yeah, you wasted $200.
