  • Immigration is one of the major issues ahead of next week's general election in the UK.
For families of overseas students studying there, recent changes to visa rules may force them to rethink where they can learn - and live.

Well what's your problem? Is she living off YOUR money? Are YOU paying for her expenses? If you lived in a third world country with no prospect of a good standard of living, wouldn't you want to try and move with your family to a first world country? You just happened to be born in a first world country. Not everyone is. Have a heart. Want for others, what you would want for yourself. Basic humanity dude, seriously.

@@user-eu8sx7uh7m This type of argument is naive, disingenuous or the typical patronising syndrome. So what if everyone born in a 3rd world country decides to come? You know that's what happens as more and more come, right? And yes, she is also living of his money as universities are heavily subsided by tax payers.

Well then, by all means, ditch every aspect of any sort of culture from the UK then. Get rid of the curries, coffees and chocolate then mate and just keep the fish and chips hey? They just want the culture but not the people belonging to that culture.

You don't need to take your family to university.
You need to learn to be independent of family to succeed in life. This is an important lesson to learn at university.
This is trojan horse immigration. It's right it is coming to an end.

There is no age restriction in education. Restricting studentship based on age is an act of discrimination. Before the last 10 years, an MBA degree did not admit fresh graduates into its programs because you require at least 5 years of post-graduation work experience. After all, it's a program that builds and trains management skills for companies in mid- to senior management positions. Now, everybody can do it without experience, technically eroding the degree's value.
Also, tuition in UK Universities is expensive, and most of these students have to work 5 to 10 years to save to be able to afford a minimum of £35k to cover fees and living costs. That is why average student age in UK Masters programs for International students should be around 27-32yrs

I hope Indians stay in India and Pakistanis in Pakistan. The madness of this world _ Britain and France colonised the world, took away grassroots from original people and now getting people to settle in their "colonised" countries treating them inhumanely. If colonisers need manpower to lift up their conquered countries get them on a visa to work and move back to their own country _ isnt that what Russia, and Arab countries do. Stop this forever slave treatment
