  • Sambali is a Turkish dessert with syrup made with semolina and has no egg, flour, and oil in it. Similar to basbousa or what we call in Turkey "Revani". It is also one of the sweets sold on the Turkish streets... This easy to make traditional Turkish dessert will be your favorite, don't miss it and try it :)

So half fill tin and smooth out when a rolled out layer of marzipan the size of tin is laid onto it before adding the remainder and finishing as shown. But I'd like to try this one without the eggs and flour or butter. My father who lived through two wars often spoke about semolina. We also had semolina deserts cooked in pot with milk and a little sugar until thickened.

@@bn353 lol? if its come from greece why u guys using them with Turkish name? and if these foods coming from greece then why EU people dont know make them? bcuz u guys was live in EU too as Roman empire. and why asian country like india or pakistan people know them? maybe Turkey when come from central asia teach them? thats why some asian country know Turkish foods also arabs too and balkans too but not EU country. so if we stole from you these foods how india or Turkic countrys know these foods? why not Eu countrys? if u have some İQ u can understand.

@@vidyaghongate9155In Bharat (India), similar sweet is made. Using sand (sea) for heating which is placed on a Tawa (Skillet) instead of baking in an oven. The vessel or pan is then covered with a large lid. One can also use salt instead of sand and bake it in a Kadhai as well.
