SvR 2007 seems to be a perfect balance between graphics, gameplay, roster, creation modes, and move list. I’ve only played it for PSP…. I need it for PS2 ASAP.
Although the mechanics are dated and the animations can be glitchy, this game understood what you wanted as a wrestling fan. Fans want to organically climb the championship ranks with custom superstars, fight in bars, bury the undertaker, burn kane alive, managing a roster, keyfabe storymodes, and unique gimmicks/traits. I don't hate the 2k games, but they focus too much on customization. They're the best at it imo, but after you've created a few characters, entrances, movesets, shows/arenas, etc, you begin to feel how dry those games are. It's not fun to create a universe of unique characters who don't have any story. I should be able to sign created or auto generated talent to my roster and progress their career status with DETAILED storylines, promos, matches, vignettes, rivalries, friends, enemies, allies, face/heel turns, and total legacy. I wish I'd get my life together so i can actually help this series see it's full potential.

Tbh that's why I love SvR games: Commentary was great. Only complaint I had (granted I was 7 at the time I played this first) was that it didn't accurately discuss what was happening in the ring.

I played this game but it didnt hit me the way it hits ya, because my nostalgia is from the time of warzone, wcw mayhem, wwf attitude, no mercy, and then smack down shut your mouth and here comrs the pain. I will say looking back, rhia game felt agead of it's time but the new 2k24 is a masterpiece. Letsmyou relive any era with any character and great graphics and mechanics. I do appreciate the wave of nostalgia on this post. Most things , especially games felt more special when we were younger

Settings? The shadows look awful on my side, But I get a constant 60 fps.
You need to use OpenGL (Hardware) to fix the shadows issue mate.
