It's not the most difficult kpop choreo, but, to this day, it's the most beautiful one for me.
It's very visually pleasing! Love it!
@@jess_holyfield Btw, the 1theK version is the one that i choose when I wanna watch the dance. Especially the end with the V formation and the mirrored legs looks almost like an optical illusion when they wear black pants, white blouses on a white background.

@@sukzar makes sense to me!
The dancer that you liked the way they dipped was their "Main Dancer", Yves, (they don't really have a positions, one of the first groups who did this no-position thing other than their subunit leaders and group leader) along with HeeJin which was the green baggy shirt girl. They are the two members who lead their dance pratice and performance and they really take their time in learning step per step and actually listing out the steps in paper in pen and learning the posture along with the choreographer, then lead the whole dance with the choreographer on teaching the group. I saw this as an interesting take because the translation of intention and details of choreographers tend to get lost in the process when groups learn the dance as they have to learn the demo vid and everyone follow the choreographer the same time. One good example of this was their cover of Sistar- Shake It, as it was their first time trying locking as theur performance was based on musicals. When members struggle in the dance, they tend to help them in compensating such as their youngest, YeoJin, being too short compared to the rest of the group, she developed this very large and big moves despite being small so they look more in synch and in the same levels.
This is so interesting! Thank you so much for sharing! I really have enjoyed every piece I have seen from this group and it makes me curious about their other works! Maybe one day I'll be able to take a look at them in a marathon format!
SOOO glad you're loving LOONA and their amazing choreographies and dance performances. Can't wait to see you watch more of them. Loona are the GOAT!! Truly SVT's sisters :)
I love the fact I've already been able to look at so much from them!
The performance video is a combination of very different videos. It just so happens that the video where they’re in all black that one member is on hiatus during that time.
Yes that's what I learned upon releasing this to Patreon! That's the downside of trying to find videos of their work without going through the main company! At least the fan made compilation was pretty decent to where I couldn't really tell the difference haha!
@@jess_holyfieldto be very fair tho, even if one of the members was in hiatus in the video, the company was so sketchy to the point that there are so much unreleased and ununsed take that THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A PERFORMANCE VIDEO including them dancing in water in the same colloseum set at the front part with a skirt kind of outfit but again as we all know, the company was just plain bad that even the film production company who was in charge of directing mking and producing all the mv even said that it was such a waste of such as an expensive and beautiful set. So for the dance, the fans held on to every full fancam we got since even music shows were sabotaging them as this comeback was also the same time as a group of the company that publishes their album. This comeback was such a fan driven miracle everyone and their mother were against loona that's why even out of the loona lore, the song and the performance was a treasure for the fans. I'm so thankful you made a reaction to this because I still look up to this performance despite being exposed now to professional dancing by swf series. THANK YOU SO MUCH
@@c41vids_ this hurts my heart so much to hear 😩😭 I wish companies knew how to threat their artists right….. I am so sorry to the fan base that had to experience this but I am so happy we get to dive into this group with so many videos already! I feel a marathon will be in the works for them, I can feel it!
thank you for reacting to loona and following the boycott!🫶 butterfly is truly a masterpiece.
Thank you for taking the time to watch! Truly appreciate it!
omg it's been so long since i've seen a dancer react to LOONA.. so glad you liked them. they changed the game amongst girl groups when it comes to choreography so seeing them still getting that deserved appreciation is very cute to see ❤❤ i highly recommend you to watch LOONA's queendom2 performances, i feel like you would adore their performance visions and choreography rearrangement that they did for the stages
So I will be wrapping up Queendom 1 on Tuesday which means QUEENDOM2 in locked and loaded in the month! Woohoo!
I'm late but thank you for reacting to loona! fun fact, the member with purple hair (Choerry) choreographed the part at 34:24
Thank you for taking the time to watch! You aren't late at all! And that is a fun fact! Thank you for sharing!
at 9:23, that space was due to one of the members being on hiatus at the time of that performance.
Thank you for letting me know!
@@jess_holyfield It was HaSeul
I don't know if I've ever watching a video going this long and this deep into a choreo but you had so much to say and were so enthusiastic about it I was captivated for the whole hour! It helps that Loona is my favorite group and this song and performance is a very special one for them.
I also think it's not the hardest choreo but what I think made it such a fan favorite, and known even outside of Orbits, is that this was maybe the first time a girl group was doing this kind of choreo and executing it so well. And by that I mean something that seems dance and movement focused and not just a way to make the members look good. They looked great of course but it wasn't focused on their bodies in that way and it wasn't a purely cute, sexy or girlcrush vibe. It's hard to explain but it felt quite different and like a new standard was being set. It also fits the song really well and I'm glad you watched the MV because message contained there, besides the dense lore, was also really instrumental in taking this song to the next level.
I'd be interested to see your thought on the queendom2 performance they did of butterfly! They rearranged the music and did a new choreo! The camerawork for the live performance is quite lacking in some key moments but there's great rehearsal footage too.
Lastly I saw another comment on this, but the performance ver. you watched was unofficial and fan made. There never was an official perfromance video for this so the Orbit that uploaded it stitched the MV choreo shots together with other performance videos to make a complete choreo video. And one of them was shot some time later when Haseul was on hiatus for her mental health. She's back now and doing great!♥
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! Such a wonderful and encouraging compliment to hear!! I really enjoyed their performance and I am currently watching Queendom which means Queendom 2 will be coming down the pipeline in due time I am sure!!! I hope to one day take a look at this group in a marathon format where I can see the lore more closely!
LOONA’s So What is also one of their interesting choreography! i believe it’s more powerful than this one :)
That does sound like a great one! Hopefully I'll be able to take a look at the group more fully in the future!
you guys!! we need more loona ot12 reactions here on her channel, she's just so amazing and constructive! time to binge watch it 😂😂💞💞
haha! I don't mind the recommendations ! Thanks for taking the time to watch!
10:57 oh the missing member is probably Haseul, she went on hiatus during Butterfly promotions, so they may have shot that version after she went on hiatus
THank you for providing clarification!
Thank you for such a detailed analysis, omg!! All of Loona's dance practices and dance covers are super impressive. I recommend Cherry Bomb, Eclipse (cover, not Kim Lip's solo), Paint the Town, So What.
Hey! So I have actually had the pleasure of seeing Paint the Town already! I'll drop the link here! czcams.com/video/LHgeWSSx3fA/video.html
@@jess_holyfield OMG awesome, thank you for letting me know!
I'm so glad to see you react to this! I hope you will react to So What by Loona as well. I've seen people say that So What had the most formation changes of any kpop dance when it came out in 2020
That is such a fascinating statistic! Makes me very intrigued! I hope to be able to take a look soon!
That looked like a fan made performance video instead of an official performance video.
That's the downside of trying to find official clips of their performances without going through the main company... But it was still a nice visual!
I'm late to this but I really appreciate your analysis of this choreography
Never late to any video! I always consider it best timing or you! Thank you for taking the time to watch!
@@jess_holyfieldnow that you've got a taste of LOONA's choreography, do checkout their dance cover of Cherry Bomb with an insane 24M views.
Luvvvvv this choreo 😙
This was such a fun watch!
If you enjoyed this choreo then I think you’d like the choreo of “Dreams Come True” by WJSN. In my opinion they have similar vibes in the choreo and it also has a lot of the very satisfying peel off or cannons. Love your reactions! (Please react to it someday 🙏🤗)
I'll add it to my spreadsheet and maybe one day I'll be able to take a watch!
Why is it mirrored?
I think it's because of the video I found was mirrored and it was hard to find any others without using the company's version!
