A Hater Here. Here's why I hate CG (not as a person but as a Fitness CZcamsr). This will probably be deleted since CG can't handle any criticism. The reason I hate CG and other Fitness CZcamsrs is because they really don't provide the subscribers content that is sustainable. What do I mean? They follow a very generic workout routine such as the 5 day split and push/pull/leg routine. For beginners, you WILL see results, BUT in the long-run it will be difficult because your body adapts to it. They are too focused with editing and making a video more appealing, and spend less time for example, showing the viewers correct form or common mistakes. My advice is to find a workout routine that is tailored to you and your goals. The 6 month cut, 6 month bulk is also inefficient and bullshit. All these summer shredding bullshit videos are crash-diets and once you eat "bad", you gain the weight back.
CG is a sellout who overprices his clothes. As a business person he's smart, but as to someone who wants to educate noobs who are starting fitness, he's terrible.

This is the sad truth. However CG is more a business youtuber than a fitness youtuber. Like you said his workouts are very elementary and are quite frankly boring to watch. I think the main reason people are here is to watch someone succeed in business, not a physique.

Buying a hat for 26 dollars (not including shipping) when I can buy it from China or Bangladesh for cents for equal or better quality? I mean I get it, you want to support his brand and that is totally fine, but that is a terrible investment. At the core, he is a Fitness CZcamsr, but to maintain and attract people, he vlogs about his life. There isn't anything proprietary anymore with what he does. Go back and watch the videos he posted when he first started this channel, and look at the videos now. There is a clear difference.
Again, I will say he is smart and he does give good business advice, but he shouldn't be distracted from the main goal of this whole channel: educate and inform people about fitness.
1) Your definition of "sustainable content" isn't what CG claims to offer his subscribers. He follows a routine that he personally likes to follow and doesn't claim it's the ultimate split or structure for training.
2) There's nothing wrong with transitioning to a more appealing structure for videos. Go search through his content, he may have built his following by creating those types of videos but c'mon you can only make a "top 3 ways to build your chest" type of video so many times.
3) Again, back to personal preference, if he wants to do a 6/6 bulk-cut that's his prerogative.
4) Who did he sell-out to? Wanting to pursue an above average life? The market doesn't lie, if his clothes were overpriced his company wouldn't be growing. No matter how loyal a fan base, if people feel truly ripped off they wouldn't be buying the clothing.
Overall, I'm not going to try to change your perception of him because that's completely up to your taste. But you seem to believe he owes either you, the CZcams community, or society something that he certainly doesn't.
