Very cool line up! Most top 5/10 videos are pretty lame
I love the KaBar TDI. Specifically the one you got. Its just perfect for concealment and quick deployment.
Awesome collection.
For the Safekeeper IIs and IIIs sheaths; I installed zip ties through the eyelets and looped it to the edc belt. It's keeps the sheath from coming out with the blade when the push knife is drawn for self-defense
Sweet collection, I live these videos! TOPS makes a lot of cool little self-defense knives, I got my brother the Cockpit Commander and he digs it. I think the divot in the handle is to pinch with your thumb and finger when reorienting the blade.
Good point on the Hinderer reverse grip draw.
Excellent video!!! Thank you!
Man that second knife you pulled out there I'm really digging that!
Same
The Hinderance was popular for YEARS. VZ even made g10 scales for them and there's still after market sheaths available. Too bad it's been discontinued for 2 years now. I just bought another one on Ebay for $70 a few days ago tho.
The Wharncliffe/Hinderance/2485 was always more popular than the Tanto version (2486) which is still available.. but the Wharncliffe is better.
@@Agent-vj3ns I thaught I seen those on Amazon lately? I could be wrong but I think I did..
@@cloudnine8842 there's only one wharncliffe left in existence selling on a yt channel: czcams.com/video/LjUgz5FHR90/video.html
Totally agree, the release button on that Hinderer is a no go for this type of knife. Need to be able to rip and go with either hand in a fight for your life. I'm going to get that Kabar TDI 1482 I think.
I was always a big fan in the service I always carried a Karambit on either hip horizontal finger Loop Palmer pointed forward for very fast and efficient deployment and in certain situations it's always nice to have the equivalent of raptor talons
Great review!
awesome knives
I swear by the Tops Lions Toothpick and the cold steel ti lite for everyday carry for self defense.
Blade steel on that TDI is gonna be AUS-8. Great video!
Nice collection, I should do a video of mine. I really wish Cold Steel still made the safe keeper 3. I’ve been hunting for years and can not locate 1.
I just purchased that Colonel knife online. Looking forward to checking that out myself. And before I bought that I was considering the TDI. I also like that Tops knife. I think the look of that thing alone would scare anyone running up on you lol
Can't find the COL. ANYWHERE!!!! Great knife my favorite but non exsistant!!!
Excellent video
I want that 3rd one
Thanks!
I own Ka-Bar TDI and SOG snarl. I absolutely do not feel like having any thing else.
Fox makes a folding knife with finger ring that's also an awesome knife.
My preference in a self defence is the push dagger T design its ambidextrous and a no fail draw Cold steel all the way on that the only con is the belt clip comes off by itself so i remove it and use the holes in sheath to 275 paracod it to the belt properly tying it and add an overhand knot melting the ends together. I dont know if all their sheaths have holes on the sides if not you can get a custom sheath. but this t knife as you call it will do the trick.
It is like punching a target and can be angled just right.
I just thread my belt through the TDI clip instead of trying to use it as a clip. And if you look on the inside of the bottom of the clip there is a small piece that sticks out that catches my belt when I pull up on the knife.
Why on earth would Tops make the Cockpit Commander sheath like that? Like you said there's almost nothing to grab. Weird.
That TOPS is a dream. Beste one here
for self defense do you prefer the small KA BAR TDI or the large one ?
Cold steel made another version of that push knife called a peacekeeper.
I've had a Colonel since 2016, EDC for defense. Knife It's awesome ,made for one thing not practical for other needs.
How many people have you used it on?
I think I want the last one the ergonomics make sense that or a better “T” knife. What do you guys think gun first or knife first? We’ll never know every situation is different.
Cool videos ...I have a things for blades and I enjoy your videos
I have the 80’s cold steel, leather thick sheath.
Dude.. You have a Colonel Blades low viz knife.. Very Kool...You can't get them anymore. 👍
Tops top edge sharp?
Actually the hinderer use 1095 cro-van, so its a Better steel than the aus-8
The colonel is out there its called regiment blades now.
Really appreciate this review of these practical options for self defense. Guns rule of course but any of these would be a good practical choice for most us who are not knife fighters. I am sold on simple grip, good in hand re tension and a punch based fighting style (for the untrained). So for me it is a push knife (prob the CS drop forged dagger style) or a tdi (but which size?)
The clips on the TDI knives dont fit a lot of tactical belts they could make thema wee bit longer.
Roger that 😀👍
Okay I'm with you and not digging serrations most of time but cold steel actually put some R&D into it just watch one of the videos of them slicing Pig carcass with the serrated blade but good luck getting any utilitarian use out of it
I like my esee izula and tops ice dagger. Granted the tops ice dagger is never going to be legal anywhere ahah
I will have to comment once against her a very good point if you cannot carry a firearm and your state laws are so these are great options thank you
In your opinion which one is better push dagger or colonel knife for self defence?
Get a gun with heaps of ammo and a good cooks knife 🔪 and a 50 litre truck with monster wheels. 🇺🇸 BOURGEOIS over production. WE'RE ON 'WAR FOOTING' to save 🌎 🇬🇧 ER2 70 YEARS NOT OUT
It sucks the Colonel blades are out of business. I was trying to order one when they stopped taking orders and then found out they went out of business
Try the POCKET STRIKE by KBAR!!!
Hands down the colonel type knives are the safest sd knives.
they are out everywhere
Not in production so i bought a cockpit commander until.
They are back as regiment blades
Is this legal to carry in california
Have you found out yet?
Nice
The cold steel dagger serrated version is better than anything and I have 900$ knifes. Strictly for self defense.
That is not a bow drill divot on the TOPS. It's an index point for rotating the knife in your hand
Nope, it's a bow drill divot
Where can I find the Colonel blade ?
?
??
They discontinued the production.
@@freedoo69 wow.
You can still get them.
Nice vid bro I'm a knife lover myself I just started a knife Channel
Nope the TDI is ASU8 SS the standard ka bar is 1095 covan steel
Please tell me one day you will make a video with the title Summer Of '69
I was born in the 70s, was a bit before my time .
U have seen a couple real knife fights? Man I wanna hang out with u 🤣
No you would not. It’s brutal.
@@3riverblades I kno I was just kidding. Cause that's s something not many people see.. I've been told if your in a knife fight both people will be getting cut. No way around that. It's bloody and brutal. As you said.
Are any of these knives good for self defense?
lol Outstanding vid Devil
Kernel lol
Cockpit is great but a shitty pull grab purchase!!! Fk!!!
5 self defense knives with no retention ring trash
Knives are not too bad that last one probably the nicest, I'd replace all those sheaths with kydex and add the appropriate ulti clip to each one 👍
When it comes to self defence there is one word that matters. TKell.
