@Aditi Singh yes technically it is ok if you do decide to do this I would recommend using a clarifying shampoo to remove the buildup from all of the curl products in the shower.

I have naturally curly/wavy hair that's about 30 inches long. I always straighten it but I used to scrunch it years ago. I am definitely going go scrunch it this summer!
Thank you so much for posting these I have been looking how to do this method for ages! I tried it for the first time today and my wavy/curly hair has never been better! My hair is soft there is no crunch and my hair is so full and curly! Keep doing what your doing!
My hair is pretty dang similar to yours.. your day 3 literally looks like my day 2-6. I just braid it loose after the 2nd night. Mhm I have curly hair (not wavy) and I use mousse for laid back/lazy days since it’s more of a light and airy hold. I use gel for when I’m busy and going out since it’ll hold for days and still be soft. So it depends on your needs.
Curl cream is different from leave-in conditioner. A leave-in conditioner is for hydrating the hair and to help detangle. Curl cream is going to help control some frizz and add hold to your waves. I do the pineapple method. I gather al my curls to the front of my head and use a satin or big fluffy scrunchy and loosely tie up. You can CZcams it. It’s proven to be the best method for saving my curls.

I wish this worked for me!! I do have waves naturally that tend to go straight when I brush it wet. I tried this method with curl cream and mousse. Curls looked great when wet! But it took me 30 minutes to dry with a diffuser and it’s still wet and tangled again. I gave up and just brushed it and now it’s straight again and I just wasted an hour of my morning.
Can I use conditioner for the bowl method? 🥲 I don't have a curl cream and I don't think I can purchase it anytime soon. My routine goes something like this : oil -> shampoo -> mask -> conditioner -> leave in conditioner -> hair serum

Beautiful hair! 😍😍😍 I guess my question is how often do you wash it? How do you maintain the waves/curls when you don’t wash it? How do you sleep without ruining it 😖?
Idk about 4 times, personally I feel like 1 or two times soaked in the bowl should still do the trick. But all I do know is I need one of those hair dryers to make a difference on how my curls turn out, bc I usually just let it air dry, so it gives more of a wet look still
How do you prevent the stringy look? Cause whenever I've tried this method and I squish with my head upside down, by the time I've gotten enough water out and the products soaked or distributed, my hair comes out stringy. It's's even worse when I try rolling my head back up, my hair just gets tangly. Also, if I don't squish enough, my hair is still dripping wet 😣
I had the same issue and what worked for me was to stop using leave in conditioner/curl cream. I always used that and finally figured out that this was the issue both causing my hair to look stringy, and making it impossible to form a cast. I'm still not sure why exactly but maybe it works for you as well if you didn't try that yet. Also I use no gel, but two different types of mousse that both work great on my hair together lol.
If you use a normal towel it will get frizzy, Incase you are; I would recommend a T-shirt or a microfiber towel Instead!!❤❤ you can also add oil at the very end of your hair routine, watch videos to find out which oil specifically. Hope this helped!😊
I just started using curl creams today, when I squished my hair, it came back straight. I did everything like in your video but just without the hair towel, and I let it air dry. The result is very greasy and oily, and not even wavy. I don't know what did I do wrong
What are good products to use? My hair had been showing more signs of wanting to curl but it’s super thick and heavy so it’s hard to get it to cooperate. I have the shea moisture curly hair products but the smoothie made my hair feel super oily (first time applying, may have done too small of chunks?). Haven’t tried the shampoo/conditioner yet. I originally got them for my kiddo and they work great when her hair is long, but she’s had a pixie cut lately so we feel she doesn’t need that one currently if we not trying to work those curls
its hard to make such waves in hair .. can you help with more methods coz scrunching makes a more curly shorter waves but i want a long natural waves like yours
Hey!! So for looser waves, avoid scrunching, and just hover diffuse or air dry!! The water weight will help elongate the curls :) you can also brush the curl cream through with some tension to form longer clumps!
my waves are pretty defined after doing this but i still have a ton of frizz on the top of my head and like from all my flyaways??? how do i get rid of that
I dont understand why so many can comb their wet hair without losing a crazy amount of hair. Due too many tutorial advertising combing fresh wash hair combing, i have lost so much hair. My scalp is showing. I stop combing it that way for 3 months, and got several baby hair growth and my scalp is less visible. So for my 2c hair, i skip combing and add leave in conditioner, let it dry completely. Then i use a water spray bottle to spray the hair length. Then comb and add products😂. Time consuming but i dont want to be bold😊
I have a question. So I’ve been watching your videos and saw all of them. And today I tried the bowl method. ( I have wavy hair btw)I did all the same things you did (just different products) and when I went to school it got really frizzy. This was the first time I tried it so I might need to wait cause it probably won’t work the first time I do it but is it supposed to look this shiny like yours the first time? Because when i use the products I have everyone says it looks greasy, but when I don’t it just gets all frizzy and dry. So what can I do?
here’s a tip to find out if you have wavy hair. after you get out of the shower, brush it out with a comb or your fingers, because brushing out wavy hair when it’s both wet or dry with a brush isn’t good for it. after you comb it with a comb or you fingers, if you see waves even after you comb it then you have wavy hair, if it dries and turns out wavy with just simply letting it dry, you have wavy hair. I’ve always thought i had straight hair that was poofy and frizzy, and i ignored the fact that that my hair is wavy when it’s wet after i comb it because i had no idea how to take care of my hair. now all i do is comb my hair with my fingers when it’s wet and let it dry, and im all set ! if it isn’t wash day then i simply wet my hair a bit with my hands and comb it, let it dry and once it’s dry i put it in a bun so that my hair doesn’t mess up while I’m sleeping.
How much curl cream are you using? It sounds like it might be too much!! If your hair feels heavy and sticky, then you might be using too much gel or mousse!
I dint have a diffuser and try to towel/air dry... any ideas to keep the waves? yesterday's attempt failed 😞 but it could be Coz I did it say night and slept immediately after
I got so into this stuff and then got absolutely tired of it all. Who has the patience to do this all the time 😭 Especially in winters. It was good while it lasted but it’s too much.

I do your bowl method, diffusing method and recommended products but still no results 😢😢😢😢
If you don't have curly hair can curl cream still give you curls? So like after my hair is wet from showering it's kinda curly but after I brush it kids goes straight.
If you have some curl when wet, it should. Try scrunching after brushing. The more you do these methods, the more curl/wave you will get. The curl becomes more formed, over time.
I don't understand the point of wetting, scrunching all the water out, and then doing it again, I have used this same method, but just product, scrunch out the water, done.
Okay but how do I make sure my hair “parts” and falls correctly after this!!! My hair always goes wild and looks like a nest if I don’t part it before it dries!!! 🥺
I have the same situation. After doing the bowl method as shown I usally gently fingercomb the the hair where it's messy, without over-doing it and focusing on the top of my hair. I then scrunch my hair with a microfiber towel/t-shirt and just follow the rest of this routine. You would think the bowl method wouldn't work when I do it like this, but I think it works pretty great still and I use it every wash.
I wanna focus on the hair method but I just can't the background is so beautiful

I got so into this stuff and then got absolutely tired of it all. Who has the patience to do this all the time 😭 Especially in winters. It was good while it lasted but it’s too much.
What products did you use for this?
How do you put your hair in a bun? When I do it, my hair gets tangled :(
Anybody know the song in the background? Also, The curls are beyond beautiful!
Thank you!!!! Will this method work if I do all the steps but then towel/air dry???
Do you have to put the curl cream into the whole of your hair or just the ends
I need description, what product did you use in the hair and water? How long did this take? I *need* to know since i want to do this on my wedding day and my serimony is early in the morning and i am not a morning person, so i need alot of time especially since my hair is about 1meter (3ft) long😭
thank you
also do you have layers in your hair or are they all one length?? because your hair looks voluminous throughout your length
I have layers that start at chin length!!
@@SophieMarieGraf thank you for replying! 😁do you cut your hair and layers yourself or are they professionally done?? If you cut them yourself, please can you post a tutorial next time you do your own hair?
I have hip length hair and no matter what I do I can never get defined waves😭😭😭😭😭😭 I have 2B type waves, any advice?? I do your bowl method, diffusing method and recommended products but still no results 😢😢😢😢
I think my neck would break trying to do this 😢
Can u use something other then curl cream or no?
Doesn't applying the gel make your hair crunchy and not smooth when you touch it?
When your hair is dry, you can scrunch it out so it becomes soft again. Its called sotc: scrunching out the crunch
If you don't have curly hair can curl cream still give you curls? So like after my hair is wet from showering it's kinda curly but after I brush it kids goes straight.
If you have some curl when wet, it should. Try scrunching after brushing. The more you do these methods, the more curl/wave you will get. The curl becomes more formed, over time.
i just found out that i might have wavy hair. do you have any affordable product recommendations?
What products do you use here? Brands etc please!
Can I also use a t-shirt to microplop my wavy hair, if I don’t have a microfiber towel?
How do you preserve the waves overnight?
can u air dry it later? I don’t have time to difusse.
My back hurts watching you bent over and do all that 🤧 Amazing results tho
The volume👀
Can this work without the product?
I don't understand the point of wetting, scrunching all the water out, and then doing it again, I have used this same method, but just product, scrunch out the water, done.
I try this but when I flip my head back up it messes up the curls
My second to most recent Short shows what I do! Essentially focus on a rolling motion vs flipping :)
@@SophieMarieGraf awesome! Thank you!
So do we wash out the conditioner and then apply curl cream with this method or both conditioner and curl cream?
I have wavy hair and I wish I could wear it down more often. By day two I get frustrated by how my hair looks so I just put it up.
Do you get a layered haircut?
How long will it last tho cuz am trya have curly hair forever
Okay but how do I make sure my hair “parts” and falls correctly after this!!! My hair always goes wild and looks like a nest if I don’t part it before it dries!!! 🥺
Yes agree. My hair needs brushing to part it then irmts flat. Answers pls??
I have the same situation. After doing the bowl method as shown I usally gently fingercomb the the hair where it's messy, without over-doing it and focusing on the top of my hair. I then scrunch my hair with a microfiber towel/t-shirt and just follow the rest of this routine. You would think the bowl method wouldn't work when I do it like this, but I think it works pretty great still and I use it every wash.
Ok so you didn't dry with the towel before the gel in this one, but before the mousse?
is it healthy to apply mousse & gel on hair , isn't it harmful for hair ?
