- Over the last 5 years I've loved owning my 2006 Toyota 4Runner, and I wanted to share my review of the vehicle. In my opinion, you should get one! I go over everything I've learned in this video, discussing the community, reliability, upgrades, modifications, and problem solving. I hope this helps give you more insight about the 4th Generation Toyota 4Runner.

Comment and tell me your thoughts about 4th Gen 4Runners!
I agree, the 4Runner community is one of the best out there. Nobody has anything to prove so it's basically just filled with owners that want to help each other. Great vid Andrew!
Thanks!
We bought our '03 4Runner in August of 2019 with 213k miles on it. It now has 284k and have been an excellent vehicle. I've replaced brakes, struts, shocks and tie rods as needed. I owned an '03 Tacoma from 2005-2014 when it got totalled. From 2014-july of 2019, we owned a 2012 Jeep Patriot and that was the worst vehicle I've ever had. After it reached 125k miles, it became an electrical, and mechanical nightmare. Thousands of dollars spent while still paying on the vehicle. This broke me in every way. We paid the jeep off in June of 2019, sold it for $3500 to a dealership just to get rid of it. Took that money and bought our 4Runner for $3800. Best money ever spent. And I'll never finance a vehicle ever again. If I can't pay cash, I don't need it. We love our 4Runner!
I bought an 08 SR5 V6 three days ago and I’m obsessed! Shouldn’t always purchase a vehicle with 160,000 miles, but on this, not an problem!
You ain’t lying about reliability. Worse thing I’ve had go wrong with my 04 v8 is an o2 sensor took less than 5 mins and $50 (got the expensive denso one)
Thanks for the comment! Crazy to see just how well they hold up.
Solid video and great mods! Get another 100k out of it no problem 😎✌
Had a 05 4 runner and I say had my son totaled it the other day. So now I'm going to be on the hunt for another one. They are a true work horse !!!!
Good explanation nice video Love Toyota
You about summed it up, but I just prefer older (2000s-early 2010s) cars. Simpler and were made with better materials than the new plasticy ones
Badass!!
Is your V6 or V8?
Did you plastic dip your grill on the bottom?
Yes
Where u get those fog lights
I designed them and will be launching them soon.
@@trailrunnercustomswhile you are still in the design stage, have you seen the switchback lights? The bulbs change from white to yellow when you turn them off and on again. I love mine, perhaps that could be an option. Just a suggestion.
@@chachi5975 my new lights are now live!
You've only driven 45k miles in five years? You don't drive much. I put 60k on my Camry in 3 years, and I have owned two cars for one of thise three. Do you never go anywhere? Do you live next doir to your job? How is only 45k in five years possible? Not criticizing you, just wondering.
I was at college for 3 of the years and walked lots of places
@@trailrunnercustoms I suppose that you lived on campus.
40k miles in 5 years, honestly that’s nothing
I put 60,000 miles on my Corolla last year
