It’s basically a Land Cruiser in this form. These V8 4Runners drive better than the 5th gens.
They are quite the treat.
What about a v6?
I have a 2008 4Runner Limited 4.7 V8 VVTi with 338k miles. I'm second owner and bought in 2018 at 249k miles. She's still going strong 🟨🟧🟥
💪🏻👏🏻
Absolutely love my 2008 4runner limited v8. Only has 46k miles on it.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello from Afghanistan
And off course 2005-2009 four runner is one of the favorite SUV in Afghanistan
🙏🏻 Hello my friend, I appreciate you watching!! 4Runners rule 🤘🏻
My favorite feature is the front food tray. It should be mentioned that Toyota specifically refers to it as the "Hamburger Tray".
Very cool!!
Mine has 333,333 miles and runs great still. Best car/suv I ever owned.
👏🏻👏🏻
We got the same color and close to the same model. Didn’t kjj no is about that glove box compartment after over 15 years. This car has those high quality plastic side panels so no rust! A timeless car
Absolutely!!
Just got my 4th Gen for free a week ago. 377k and it still runs like a champ
That’s what I need right now, a free car for content. Great score, good luck and enjoy!!
Learn a few things! Thanks for making this video!
Your very welcome!! 👍🏻
Love the 4th gens. I’ve owned all engines in a 4runner honestly you can’t go wrong with any. From 3rzfe to 2uz. I currently own a v6 1grfe and 2uz and I think both engines perform very well. I would say maintenance on the 1gr is easier then 2uz. Never felt inadequate power coming from the v6, both engines turn low 2k rpm at highway speeds. The v8 better if you plan to tow. Both feel buttery smooth to me.
Very true!! If I could find a clean v8 I would go for it.
I feel like the RWD in the V6 is more driver focused than the full time AWD in the V8. I get all the reliability and towing BS. The V6 just drives better, full stop.
Interesting you noticed that just tapping the key into start will get it rolling, but you didn't notice that you can just hold the sunroof button for 2 seconds, and it will open on its own;
Great review! I bought a 2004 (in 2004) SR5 with the V8 and full time 4 wheel drive. Garage kept and serviced exclusively at Toyota. It has 70 thousand miles and has been pampered. No off-roading, no towing, no accidents and rarely goes in the snow. Kept completely stock. I love this truck.
What a beauty it must be, thank you for sharing!!
Would you consider selling it?
@@abdulraoufsalh8515 Not interested in selling at this time, thanks.
I have had people leave notes on it asking the same.
Loved our ‘04 Sport, but sold it to someone more mechanically minded. 😢 MN rust is no joke after 230k miles. Absolutely loved the hamburger (French fry) tray, and we would keep our extra napkins and condiment packets in the secret second glove compartment. I don’t know if ours did the pop up shelf in the trunk thing-mind blown!
Crazy right!! Thank you for sharing your story.
The soft close feature and rear window are great when they work. Mine work less than half the time and I have been trying to chase down the issue. I even replaced the ECU in the back hatch
Those issues when intermittent can be a pain.
Nice car. Probably one of the best engins in the world👍 .My dream .😊
They are quite literally bulletproof!!
I just recently figured out the glove box compartment.
Crazy right!!
I put a 2024 tacoma trd shifter on my 05 4runner
There's also a tissue holder in the lid of the center console.
The more you know, Thank you for sharing.
Mine is a 2005 V8 SR5 4WD with 250,000 miles and still runs like it’s brand new!
Sweet, I believe that!!
Beautiful 4th Gen! When will your dealership post this for sale?
I’m not 💯 sure but I believe it’s sold. 🤷🏼♂️
@@VikingsGarage😩
That is the cleanest fourth gen I have ever seen. Even well taken care of fourth gen do not hold up like this one. It must’ve been garage kept how much will this one be sold for?
I do agree my friend, I believe they sold it for $16,500 . 😁
Wish I could find one like this. Take my cash!
Same here!! If I had the money at the time I would have bought it.
@@VikingsGarage I’m looking for one right now to buy because I love 4Runners for one. The only thing better than having a 4Runner is having 2, right? I have a girl friend that’s now a single mom and I would let her use it to get to work until she gets on her feet and could buy herself something else or buy it from me, if I could stand to part with it when the time came. I didn’t realize until the other day how insane the market was for them. But it makes me happy about my 2022 long term outlook on value……
@Tigermeg816 Hey and she will see not only that you’re a nice guy but that you really like her… 4Runners are great!!
That’s very nice of you!!
@@VikingsGarage Lol. I’m a woman and she’s just a friend. But I’ve seen her struggling and I know she’s capable of digging herself out of this rut…….. it gives me a reason to jump on a v8 4th gen if the one I’m looking at turns out to be everything they are claiming it is as far as its condition. May have to fly to go see it. It’s in Virginia. I’m in Louisiana…. I’m also worried 100% about what is ahead with the 6th Gen. I’m kind of dreading all this shift to 4 bangers…… something about the old saying there’s no replacement for displacement……. I got into this hobby a couple years back when I got my 22. No one really warned me I was going to become a Toyota truck fanatic…… I guess I will be hunting an 80 series next 🤣
I really need to start filming content and posting stuff; I have this way of diving head first into all my projects and then thinking dang I should’ve done a video…… 🤣 But then I’m like well it will have to wait until the next time bc I’m not undoing everything I just did. I’ve been saving cash to buy a lift to put in metal building behind house….. lifts do make things easier……
My 2009 Toyota 4Runner has third row seating no back speakers and no special attachments lol
very interesting!!
Most of those soft close doors fail 💯
Why does the V8 4Runner tow hitch hang down below the bumper, does anyone know? The tow hitch on the V6 seems more ‘integrated’ into the bumper. The one on the V8 looks aftermarket.
hello, i just got an ‘11 4runner limited.i had changed the oil but having problem resetting and turning the maintenance required light off.i followed the instructions on the manual, tried it with trip a, trip b, and odometer, light is still there.have you encountered this issue?smart key limited 2wd. thank you very much
Never had a problem resetting a maintenance light. Leave trip A / turn key off / hood trip button / cycle key on and watch the bars work themselves out/ wait until all bars are gone. Your done.
@@VikingsGarage maybe something is wrong with the computer.thank you for response and for what you do.lived in nj for 8 yrs and it makes me feel home somehow whenever i see that yellow license plate.wish you all the best
I wish 5th gen key fob would roll the window down
I totally agree!!
I just bought a 2023 4Runner a month ago. I have been to the dealer 5 times there is a vibration on the highway and at low speeds as well. They did wheel balancing the first visit 2 days after purchase. Started at 30 miles into my first drive on the highway and did not roll freely down the road. It was like chugging up hills as well. The second and third time they said there was nothing wrong. The forth time I brought it in they rebalanced the tires and did a alignment. The alignment was off in the front and back. Wheel balance was off as well. Now the steering wheel is cocked to the right, and pulls to the right. The chugging is still there. I bought it back the next day with my
concerns. They said there was nothing wrong with it. It depends on witch way you look at the wheel.
What is your opinion on the chugging?
Get everything in writing document every visit
And you can have it for the low low price of 30,000
I just got an 08 V8 limited last October 91k when I bought it
What a great find, how much did you pay?
(If you don’t mind sharing)
@@VikingsGarage 22
@VikingsGarage I know I overpaid but I wanted a toyota with the 2UZ
O'Neal hey sometimes you got to
Pay well to get the good stuff, you got a good one there. 👍🏻
A Virginia toyota dealer told me that my worn power steering rack is the reason why my truck is pulling to the right WHILE braking
Do you guys sell this truck ? If yes, how much ?
It’s been sold… $18k
What dealership is that?
