it has now been decided that a child/sibling of a deceased Government servant/pensioner, who is suffering from a mental or physical disability, shall be eligible for family pension for life, if the appointing authority is satisfied that the disability is of such a nature so as to prevent him/her from earning his/her livelihood, as evidenced by a disability certificate obtained from a competent medical authority. Such a child shall be deemed to be not earning his/her livelihood, if his/her overall income from sources other than family pension is less than the entitled family pension at ordinary rate and the dearness relief admissible thereon, payable on death of the Government servant/pensioner concerned.

Sir, i hv 6/60 and 6/36 in left and right eye respectively through glasses and without glasses. Howevere the doctor recommended ridge lenses but i couldn't wear them as i hv dry eyes. Can i b categorized as a disable person? May i get disability certificate?

Yes, basically i got the pwd certificate by the medical board of my district. But ,when i approached to other eye specialist he totally neglected by saying that if u wear lenses than ur eyesight would b correct. But, sir I'm an allergic person i couldn't wear ridge contact lenses. I had tried that lenses but i removed as i was feeling highly uncomfortable with them. Sir, please clear it.

Hello..the production of fake certificate comes under "Cheating or fraudulent activity" therefore as per section 420 under IPC the concerned person would be punished thru either fine or imprisonment or both...
Til the inquiry of the cheating all the respective services availed thru the fake certificate will be with-held or suspended.
