Greetings! As you know, an ordained Deacon has the facility to drink of the precious blood of Jesus. In these post-pandemic days, many people are still skittish to share the same cup, and so some Deacons may use a second holy chalice, of the type we used to distribute the blood to the congregation during the pre-pandemic days. We used several chalices in those days - this is no different. As a side thought, we remember that the Pharisees used to work to fulfill the letter of God’s Law without considering His underlying purpose and intention. In regard to this question, it’s more important to attest that cup contains the Precious Blood of Jesus, not how many cups He is presented to us in.
      Many blessings,
      Fr. Kevin
